I ordered some classic dishes. The chana masala I got with a spice level below the maximum nonetheless carried a powerful kick. But I also picked a cardamom pod and a clove out of it; these things can be annoyances to the uninitiated but the resulting flavor is worthwhile. Adding a bread and salad turned out to be wise given the heat level. Their interpretation of a salad was a sectioned head of greenery, some other vegetables, and a hint of spices and lemon. My plain paratha was a worthy contrast to the exciting flavors of my main dish. Adding some samosas sprinkles with spices made for a solid two meals at a very reasonable price. I thought I'd finished, but at the bottom of the bag was hiding some complimentary chutney and yogurt and a papadum. The setting was a repurposed fast food drive through. The food was totally worthwhile and despite the bevy of options throughout the settled parts of North Carolina, I experienced no regret at having made this my road trip stop.

The menu seemed to offer a good variety of Indian dishes, though I am not familiar with most on the menu, so I can not vouch for their authenticity. Playing it safe, I ordered the butter chicken, with no heat. My wife and I also got an order of kulcha bread, stuffed with paneer. The food seemed to take a bit longer than expected for as empty as the restaurant was. When it did come out, my dish and my wife's looked surprisingly similar for having ordered 2 different entrees. I'm not sure that they didn't serve us both the same dish, but she had ordered her's with spice, and what the gave me certainly had spice. Overall, the food was good, though I'm no certain it's what we ordered. When we were done eating, we waited and waited, and again had to flag down the waiter for the bill, but he told us we just pay up front, which would have been nice to know sooner. I could go either way on returning. Service as not overly welcoming, and for ordering something with no spice, i was a bit bothered that they gave me a spicy dish.

Since I recently decided to try Indian food and discovered that I LOVED IT!!! I have been on a…read moresearch to find the best place to go. Curry 'n Spice is definitely a big contender in the "greater high point area." I started off with the chili mo mo dumplings and these were some of the tastiest, best flavored dumplings I've ever had. Not only was the chili sauce great on the outside, the inside was perfectly flavorful as wells. Usually, one or the other are somewhat lacking but that is not the case at Curry 'n Spice! For my main meal I ordered the chicken tikka masala and you can't go wrong with this pick either. The rice portion was on the smaller end of places that I've been, but by no means was it lacking. The chicken chunks were a bit too big for my taste but the flavor and spice level (I think I went level 4) were enough to put this place in the top 2! Finally, the garlic naan was nice and fluffy with a slight crunch on one side, just how I like it. Full of flavor and has you wanting a second order. I will definitely be back to try those lunch specials!

We had the Chicken Chilli Mo Mos -- savory, flavorful, crispy dumplings in a bold, spicy sauce. It was fantastic! Spice level 4 (out of 10) was enough to pack a light punch while still letting the other flavors shine through. I had Chana Masala at a spice level 6, and it was perfect. Hearty, flavorful, spicy. Great texture on the chickpeas here, and not too oily either.

The perfectly cooked soft center, the crisp exterior, and the sticky ssssaaaaauce it's covered in... It's savory and heavy enough to be a meal but I was being generous and decided to share the appetizer with my spouse. They do offer a spice scale and they don't hold back. I foolishly tried the spice level 3 (out of 5 being the hottest) and should have chosen a 2 spice level. But the cauli was so good I fought through the pain. Worth it. I could have easily stopped there but we also ordered the garlic naan (also yessssss) as well as the Lamb Korma and Chicken Vindaloo. Both those entrees were delicious but the Korma really stood out to me. The rich and creamy sauce was very unique to my pallet and when I returned, I ordered the Chicken Korma. Clearly I love a good sauce. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, very spacious and would be great for groups or a romantic dinner for 2 (or 3 if you are into that sort of thing). The service was excellent and our server was patient when we ask questions about the menu. Fortunately, a lot of the dishes have descriptions on the menu so you have a good idea of what you are ordering. Looking forward to returning to Peppers again .... for the cauliflower... and the naan....

We were seated immediately, and given time/space to look over the menu, but with our server still hovering nearby in case we had questions or were ready quickly. When we ordered, the server explained the 1-5 spice scale, gave recommendations, and even asked about allergies. After the food came out, he continued to check on us. This is definitely not one of those "abandoned in the corner and ignored" type of establishments. We started with an order of chili paneer, with spice level 2. It was perfectly crunchy and super flavorful. Level 2 has a nice kick to it if you sit for a minute between bites, but it doesn't necessarily light you up either. It is a great level if you're sharing something with someone a little more spice-hesitant. I love paneer, and this appetizer had a generous portion that could easily be a meal for 1 person. For my main, I got the Chana masala, spice level 3. This was absolutely delicious! Spicy, warm, flavorful. Chickpeas had the perfect texture -- not too hard nor too mushy. As a spicy food enjoyer, level 3 was a nice level that is hot and ~just~ starts to make my face flush, but isn't overpowering. A "conversational" level if you will. I could easily order this on a work lunch and could still eat with decorum. We also got garlic naan, which is always a hit, but done absolutely perfectly here. Pillowy, soft, fresh, and generous with the garlic.
