This was my first time at this location. I've only been to the Salt & Straw in Downtown Disney. I love it because they always have at least a couple vegan flavors. The line was a little long when we got there, but it doubled in size while we were in it. It moved pretty quickly, though. I didn't have any complaints about the wait. The staff were very friendly and patient with everyone trying flavors. It smelled like heaven and gave you all the lovely ice cream shop feels. I tried the coconut cherry pie with almond crust. It was really good, I'm just not a fan of cherries. I ended up ordering a scoop of the hazelnut cookies and cream. It was so delicious. I'm glad to know this shop isn't too far from my work. As someone who has never tried Salt & Straw but have heard horror stories about the prices, I definitely had my doubts. I 10000% get the hype now! The location smells unreal. I can honestly say when I go get ice cream, I do not expect many vegan AND gluten free options. There were FOUR!!! I was so excited to get the seasonal cherry pie flavor, it was some of the yummiest ice cream I've ever had. The serving was also very generous. And I MUST leave an entire paragraph for the staff because wow. In the summer time at an ice cream shop, I've seen how overwhelming it can get and I've always been empathetic to the employees who just want me to make my pick and go. There was a huge line and these folks could not have been kinder and more helpful! This Salt & Straw location in Bellevue is relatively new. Since we were in the area and wanted a sweet treat to cool off with, we stopped by for some ice cream! When we first arrived, there wasn't too many people in front of us. I love that you are able to try as many samples as you want before committing to a flavor. We tried a bunch of different flavors before settling on our choices. I got a double scoop in a waffle cone of Honey Lavender and Birthday Cake & Raspberries. My fiancé and I stopped by today for a little ice cream date and had such a great experience! We arrived close to noon on a Sunday, and it wasn't busy at all. Parking was definitely the hardest part. We ended up parking near Safeway and walking over, which wasn't bad. I ordered a Cinnamon Snickerdoodle scoop, and it was so good! The cookie pieces throughout made every bite even better. My fiancé got the Hazelnut Cookies & Cream, and he really enjoyed it too. By the end, though, it was a little too sweet for him to finish, and that's saying something because he has quite the sweet tooth! After trying just one sample each, we immediately knew what we wanted to order so we will definitely have to come back because there were so many unique flavors we didn't get to try. Some of the limited edition flavors were so creative. Wildflower Honey and Lemon Chess Pie sounded delicious, and I was especially intrigued by the Gruyère & Tomato Custard Tart. I wish I had asked for a sample because that has to be one of the most interesting ice cream flavors I've ever seen! The shop itself was large, spacious, and very clean. The employees were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they also had some fun goodies available for purchase. There isn't any seating inside, but there are a few benches outside if you'd like to enjoy your ice cream there. I do love the location as it's a short walk from Bellevue Square and Bellevue Downtown Park, making it the perfect place to grab a scoop and take a stroll around the park on a hot summer day. The store was nearly empty, with at least four employees around, yet we waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Once someone finally helped us, the experience improved. They were friendly and offered a few samples, which I appreciated. The ice cream itself was delicious, and the downtown location is perfect for grabbing a scoop and walking over to the park. That said, the portions were noticeably smaller than what I usually receive at the Totem Lake location. Yay we have yet another Salt & Straw to enjoy, this time in downtown Bellevue! One of my foodie friends was craving ice cream after eating in Factoria so we got here around 8pm to a decently long line that thankfully didn't stretch outside on this slightly cold day. As with other locations, there's only bench and wall seating near the front entrance, and standing tables that denote where the line begins and ends. Staff at the front let you try samples of any flavor that is on their menu. I already got to eat all their limited flavors at least once (for the May 2026 season) so I had samples of the cinnamon snickerdoodle, strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper, and the honey lavender flavors. I eventually settled for the last of the three. Their take on honey lavender reminds me of a London fog. No, lavender is not always associated with London fogs but this ice cream somehow reminded me of one anyway! Lavender taste is powerful in this single scoop, and the ice cream itself has a smooth consistency that has been consistently throughout other locations of this chain I have tried. My foodie friends telepathically both got the coffee and love nuts, probably because I recommended it from a past visit here through a Yelp Elite event. Always a favorite, I may be Salt & Straws #1 fan I recommend going off hours because the line gets ridiculous in the evening, however the blame is definitely on the customer as usually everyone is trying multiple flavors. I've never met an employee that wasn't friendly or happy to share about the ice cream. There's always a flavor I love and my boyfriend and I really enjoy trying the monthly menus!! Salt & Straw just opened in downtown Bellevue, taking over the former Starbucks pickup-only location across from South Lincoln Square and Bellevue Downtown Park. Parking: No dedicated parking--use South Lincoln Square or Safeway nearby. It is walkable from various nearby attractions. I attended the pre-grand opening event, and as expected, there was a long line (about 1.5 hours). That said, the staff kept things moving once you reached the front. Everyone was cheerful, welcoming, and efficient. I ordered a flight: Jasmine Milk Tea Stracciatella, Strawberry Tres Leches, Saffron Milk w/ Wildflower Honey, and Pistachio Ricotta Cannoli. The first three were creamy and flavorful--my favorites. The saffron flavor wasn't for me personally, but still worth trying if you like more floral notes. Bonus: My flight was prepared by Tyler Malek The vibe was lively throughout--lots of excitement, friendly staff, and plenty of happy faces (especially kids getting their ice cream). Overall: Great addition to downtown Bellevue. Expect crowds, but worth checking out--especially for unique flavors. I love Salt & Straw, and usually go to the one in Kirkland. I'm glad they opened this location, because it's closer to me. I've came twice at night, and it's nice that they close at 11pm, but still pretty busy at nighttime. I love all the variety of unique flavors they offer. All their ice cream is so yummy. My favorite is still the Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. And I just decided on my first visit here that my second favorite is the Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/ Black Pepper. Glad to see another ice cream option around Bellevue Downtown Park! This is at the northeast intersection near Safeway, which appears to be best place to park. Tons of options to satisfy any taste, I had a flight to try out their limited edition flavors. My favorite was the Strawberry Tres Leches and the Rhubarb Crumble. At other locations I've had their classic flavors, and while good some of the flavors are not as strong as I would have liked. I've been to many Mariners games where they feature Salt & Straw ice cream and my good friend gets one that I think has beer in it? I was so intrigued by their assortment so I thought I would try it after dinner the other night. Sorry I don't have a pic but I got chocolate brownie which wouldn't have done the pic justice anyway. Oh my gosh I've tasted so many other brands where the chocolate ice cream is so much richer and the brownie pieces don't taste like non-script chunks of nothing. I paid $7 for one scoop and I will not go back. That said, I can't talk for all the other avant-garde choices that were on the board and maybe that's where they shine but definitely not in a basic flavor as chocolate brownie. Loving the new location! The store is bright is within walking distance from the park and the mall. The staff are friendly and quick despite how busy it can get.
