I have been riding with Salt Lake Express at least twice a year (and more recently) for about 4 1/2 years now. I also take it from Rexburg to Salt Lake or vice versa. And let's just say that most of my rides have been less than satisfactory. To begin, I think I've only had a shuttle arrive/leave on time a couple of times and we're almost always late to wherever we are going. They also know exactly when to exploit the fact that student from Rexburg will be coming to or from school and jack up the prices then. (It's actually smart in a business sense but that doesn't make it any less annoying) I have had several experiences where either the heater was broken in the winter or the A/C was out in the summer. They advertise (or at least they used to....I honestly can't remember if they still do) that they have free WiFi but good luck using that. It's only available for like an hour. The drive from Rexburg to Salt Lake only takes 3 hours, but because of how many stops the bus makes it ends up taking more like 5. Back in September I had the worst experience on the shuttle. I was coming to Rexburg from Salt Lake and when we got to the depot stop in Pocatello we were all instructed to vacate the bus. Apparently they needed that bus to go pick up some high schoolers. Weren't the only shuttle that they did this to. There was two shuttles! After we all got off and collected our luggage we were told more shuttles were on their way to pick us up. Uhhh why couldn't those shuttles go pick up the high schoolers?? That didn't matter to them though. No one was really giving us answer as we all stood around. People were finally calling around and having people drive to come pick them up in Pocatello because we were waiting around so long. We waited around with no one giving us answers for close to 45 minutes. Finally a smaller shuttle showed up and some of us had to basically fight our way onto this bus. The A/C was out and my seat was partially broken. We finally arrived in Rexburg almost hour late. I found out later from a friend who didn't make it on the first shuttle that the next shuttle didn't arrive until much later. She ended up being almost 1 1/2 hours late!!! During all of this we got no answers to any of our questions and basically got ignored when we tracked down the people in charge. I did have one really great experience though! It was a few years back and the shuttle took a bus full of us going to the airport straight from Rexburg without all the other stops! That was the best thing ever! You would think that at the beginning or ends of the semester they would offer more rides like this! I always try to deter people from riding with Salt Lake Express (even though sometimes I still have to). Definitely not worth the price and the constant inconvenience that are. Oh they are also really good at putting people on hold and never getting back to them when you call about late shuttles, inconveniences like the one I had in September, and more. read more

The bus was exactly on time for pick up. I had a terrific ride from Rexburg to the Salt Lake City airport. We arrived right in time. Our driver D. Burton was cordial and very professional. I enjoy taking the Salt Lake Express as it give me an opportunity to relax on the way to the airport and even get work done. It does save me money versus driving myself and parking at the SLC airport. Would definitely recommend it to a friend. read more

Salt lake express is great. They have expanded to southern Utah. It makes it easier to visit my grandparents in St George now. They also have wifi and charging ports in the shuttles which is a must on a road trip. Thanks for the upgrades! read more

God forbid these guys actually be on time. I'm serious. I travel with these guys fairly regularly and it is the norm to wait at least 30 minutes for them. I've waited up to an hour and a half. I've been pushing flight times because I don't want to wait 3.5 hours at the airport so I take the bus that'll get me there an hour and a half early and then they're an hour late. I wish these guys had competition cuz I'd gladly take a bus that was on time! read more

This was great for the person that fell asleep but terrible for the other 10 people. Someone fell asleep and missed their exit. We drove back 30 minutes to drop that person off. This put us 60 min behind. Drivers should be more considerate of the other passengers and they should also wake people up. Overall it is getting to be very expensive to ride with them. read more

for The Rexburg line, it is only good during the week. on weekends I have to wait at least 30 minutes after it was already supposed to be at my stop. Right now I am waiting at one of the stops for the 552 picku. I got here at 545. It is now almost 630. read more

Masks wearing is optional. They say they provide water and the water is warm. Had to take the shuttle from St. George to Lad Vegas airport. The driver had his daughter in the van and ran a personal errand for his daughter ( driving to a private residence in St. George) to help her load a bunch of her personal items , luggage and boxes, into the van! We paying customers were forced to go along with this. We lost about half an hour with this and caused one woman, (a paying customer!) great anxiety about missing her flight. On the drive to the airport the driver was speaking to a passenger who knew him and the driver told him that the van we were riding in had over 225,000 miles on it and was one of their newer vans. Bus is late, 87 degrees, AC is broken. This is a badly mismanaged business that has little idea of customer service. The advertised $29 fares are rarely available and the foundation of a bait-and-switch scheme. Don't pay extra for the door-to-door service; Uber is cheaper. read more

This is a great ride, BUT!!! Their communication is TERRIBLE! I I booked a reservation this morning at 9:45 for a shuttle at 11, giving me 1 hour and 15 minutes before pickup. The person who took my reservation did not notify the driver so they didn't stop. And this isn't the first time this has happened. Like I said, great ride, but ask for the driver's number so you can notify him/her yourself. read more

Terrible company & service. They screwed up our wedding shuttle--which they had months to prepare for. To be exact--Salt Lake Express had to transport passengers 15 miles with a clear map provided. They got lost. They refused to apologize and ultimately blamed me. I decided to sue them in court--and won. Do yourself a favor--travel with someone else. Sidenote: look them up on YouTube. The most unorganized company I've ever dealt with. Driver was 30 minutes late and taking his sweet time. Had to change my flight and shuttle time. I asked if I could get a refund and they tried to make it seem like it's my fault THIER driver was late. When I asked to speak to the manager she conveniently "stepped out." Will never deal with them again. Very unorganized. Update: they wouldn't refund me so I got on another bus later in the day. The bus broke down in less than an hour, driver checks the engine, comes back and says "Transmission fluid is bone dry." He left the bus on the side of the road (with all of us on it) to walk to the gas station to get transmission fluid. Ridiculous! read more

Never expect this bus to arrive on time or to get you to your destination on time. I have had three separate occasions where my trip was delayed 2-3 hours and there were no bad weather conditions. Also expect the buses to be 100+ degrees during the summer because they will NOT switch out the buses for the passengers if the AC is broken. It was a miserable trip where everyone was severely dehydrated, babies were screaming the whole trip from the heat, and completely soaked in sweat. I also had an experience with the Salt Lake Express where the driver took our luggage and put it underneath the bus, but forgot to shut the compartment door. After 15 minutes of driving one of the passengers noticed the compartment was open. Luckily, none of the luggage had fallen out. But it was a frustrating experience for sure. Very disappointed in Salt Lake Express. I bought a shuttle for nephew. They say you are allowed two luggage . They made my nephew leave his luggage. He is now with no medication, clothes, and eye glasses. What company makes you leave all your belongings because they are over crowded. Never again! The van was 25 min late getting to Saint George office. After loading passengers 30 min late. Even later after a pickup in Beaver Dam and one in Mesquite. Traffic in Vegas due to accident. Arrived at airport 15 min. late because the driver had to run high speeds to make up time. This is totally unsafe and puts driver and passengers at a huge risk. The reason the shuttle was late to begin with was that driver had a vehicle breakdown. They obviously don't have a PLAN B! The lazy ineffective receptionist was so detached from caring about the driver being late that I cringed watching her. It is also her job to keep coffee in the pots. Yes, you get coffee as a small token for the price of your ticket. From reading other reviews, they are late a lot. This is not the drivers problem. This is poor management. My passenger that rode it told me that the driver was cool under pressure and pleasant to talk to. He did the best he could. Had my passengers plane not been 10 min late, she would not have been able to check her bags. Putting driver and passengers under so much stress is inexcusable! We even witnessed a customer have a confrontation with an office personnel while waiting. The elderly man was so upset that the office person could not get a word in edgewise. While the Salt Lake Express is convenient for quick trips to Saint George and back, it is EXTREMELY inconsistent in quality of transportation. I've ridden it nearly a dozen times, and will continue to do so (there aren't many options), but please plan ahead to use this. They can be anywhere from 10 minutes early to over an hour late, regardless of the date or time. The shuttle quality is also very inconsistent, with some shuttles fully functional, some in desperate need of retirement. I am currently on a shuttle that can't go faster than 45 mph uphill, making us around 1 1/2 hours late to our destination (and counting). They will not notify you of the tardiness or quality of shuttle. They offer nothing for the inconvenience. They also ask you to tip the driver. read more

I have no complaints about my driver, however I am incredibly frustrated by my experience buying tickets. My friends and I were wary to buy $30 tickets from the Flix bus company because they had many reviews stating they were horribly inconsistent. So instead, we paid over $80 per ticket in order to ride with Salt Lake Express. Imagine our surprise on the night of our trip when a Flix bus arrived to take us to Las Vegas. Apparently Salt Lake Express has a partnership with this other company. But, the other passengers on the bus got their tickets through the Flix bus website, so they were $50 cheaper. My friends and I each paid $80 to ride the exact same bus that the other passengers paid $30 to ride. And of course, when I contacted Salt Lake Express about the issue, it not only took weeks to get a response, but the reply was completely generic and obviously sent to everyone who submits a complaint. After more prodding I finally got a real response, but the company refused to refund any of us the extra $50 we spend per ticket. Utterly ridiculous. read more

I arrived at the Salt Lake airport about 5 hours before my scheduled time with the SL Express. I was bummed that I would have to wait so long for my ride to pick me up. Fortunately, the SL Express makes their regular trips through the airport. They were more than willing to adjust my later time for an earlier one. Rather than waiting around for 5 hours I didn't have to wait at all. I arrived to my destination much sooner, thanks to the flexibility of Salt Lake Express. read more

The worst shuttle service ever i have tried using theire service three times all a disaster. I use a shuttle service about 25 times a year, this last trip from Las Vegas to St George i recieved a phone call from the office at 7:16 to tell me the 7:15 shuttle had left at 7:05 they could work me on a shuttle 2 hours later. The three times i did get on the shuttle the drivers were not professional and the shuttle was filthy, not to mention late which is ironic they left EARLY on what was my last ever booking with them. Save yourself some frustration and find another ride. read more

In September last year, I had to same-day cancel a bus ticket I had prepurchased with Salt Lake Express (due to airline delays and missing the bus). I was issued a credit to use in the future, and set it aside for my next trip. Today while I was booking a ticket for an upcoming trip I was struggling to remember the instructions the agent gave me for redeeming the credit, so I hopped on chat to see if I could get some help. Siobhan answered my questions very promptly, walked me through the steps, and gave me a phone number I could call to book a ticket by phone if that was easier. The bus driver left 10 minutes early causing the person I was dropping off to miss their ride. I called and complained, at which point I was told to try and hurry to catch the next stop?! The just didn't show up! My husband scheduled the 4:15 am shuttle to the airport to catch an international flight. The shuttle didn't arrive! It never came. We called, and the customer service lady just said to wait longer. So we waited. After the shuttle being an hour late, we called again and the woman said to just wait for the next shuttle. No apologies, like we didn't specifically schedule the 4:15 am shuttle. It was already too late, and to wait even longer would have put him in danger of missing the flight. We call back and say refund us we are going to have to drive ourselves. They didnt! THey just issued a ticket for the 5:30 shuttle, which we said we were not taking. Incompetency award winner! Booked a simple trip for my daughter. It's a trip she's been on before and knew the routine and pickup spot. She arrived at the pickup location 45 minutes prior to departure time. That time passed and she called 5 minutes after the scheduled pickup. Was told the shuttle was running 10 minutes behind in traffic. Tried the driver and no answer on several attempts. Waited another 35-40 minutes and called again and was put on hold several times while they were attempting to contact the driver. After approximately 15-20 minutes on hold with perhaps the lowest rated song ever recorded they informed her the driver finally answered and had been to the stop and picked up one of the two passengers and left. He informed dispatch he was headed to the intended destination. Dispatch offered to take the ride the next day....ummm no on a two day weekend that isn't gonna work. Go ahead gamble a little and take a chance on getting somewhere. If you don't really need to be somewhere you should be good. Call in and you'll enjoy the fact that manager's can't make decisions. No problem for them and nonchalant about what happened because no one cared. Had the driver wondered where the 1 of 2 people were and used a phone to contact dispatch while he supposedly waited five minutes he would have found out that my daughter was right there waiting....communication 101. Not sure where he was or the vehicle he was in but it wasn't in the normal pickup location. read more

I'm not even going to start with the experience itself. I'll start with the fact that they have hidden fees they don't even tell you about till you're ready to check out, and the fact that they don't do automatic refunds, even if you make a mistake and try to cancel the same day you make the order. But the thing about refunds, is that you have to specifically say on the phone that you want a refund, else they won't do anything. That proves to me that all they care about is getting the extra dime off you, no matter what. But let's talk about the actual drive. They were over an hour late, they blasted the A/C the entire time (I had to put two coats on) and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. On aug 3, 2018 8:15 am CVTD Logan, UT to SLC airport. Ryan was our driver. He didn't offer us water. He didn't lift our suitcases into the trailer.. my 8 yr old was struggling lifting his own suitcase in the trailer while Ryan was standing next to him and refused to help my son when I asked him to help him lift his suitcase. ( Ryan didn't want to bend over) I struggled to lift my bag and I'm a female... no help for me either. I have traveled on salt lake express 6-7 times a yr with my two children.. I give them lots of money.. and Ryan ruined it for me today. Horrible service. I haven't decided if I'll be a return customer. Uber/Lift will pop up in my mind and will seem rather appealing next time my kids and I need a ride. read more

The SLC Express is a wonderful service. Cheap prices for the gas used. Very punctual, they only have a 10 minute wait time for anyone late. Which is very nice, it's like be on time or catch the next bus so you don't have 50 people waiting and rushing to get on their flight. One time they played movies, but they don't usually from my experiences. Pretty comfortable, good prices, good service. Nice guys. I'll use it every time I need it. read more

They have been punctual and the buses are pretty comfortable, that is if you get to ride the big buses and not the vans. I'm currently riding on what feels like a giant vibrating circus ride... Our driver was courteous but did not go out of his way to make this unique in any way. For the price I would have expected a much smoother riding vehicle, the vans they use felt like it was vibrating my brain out of my ears. $90 bucks to get from SLC-Boise is awful steep, i wouldn't recommend this if you have an alternate means of gettin' where you goin' read more

Tonight, I arrived at 9PM and called the shuttle service to alert them to my arrival. I was told to go outside Door 11 and wait until 9:30PM, which I did. At 9:31PM, I called the dispatcher only to find the shuttle had traveled through and left me. Im done with this organization. read more

They need to train their drivers better common courtesy while driving on the road. They drive slow in the left lane and speed up when you tried to go around them then flip you off when you get in front of them as well as bright you. read more

All I can say is to be extremely flexible! A positive is that my driver Ray was great (he was the driver both directions) and the office personnel were pleasant. I was supposed to be picked up at Farr West at 3:00 pm. Since I'd used this service three years ago and they didn't pick me up, I was a bit leery of their reliability, so I called two days before to confirm I was scheduled, and then called at noon on the day of pick-up to again confirm that I was on the schedule. At 3:05 when no shuttle had arrived, I called the office only to be told that the driver didn't stop for me and I'd need to drive to the SLC Airport for pickup within an hour. That was frustrating to say the least, and it added two hours drive-time for my husband. I was told they'd refund my ticket, but they refunded just $25. On the return trip we had snow and icy roads (great driving Ray), so we were delayed about 30 minutes. Ray called the office to let the connecting shuttle at the SLC airport know that we might be a few minutes late and to wait. That shuttle was to leave the airport at 12:00 pm. We arrived at 12:05 and driver had left. There were four people that needed to get to Idaho! The next shuttle was to come at 2:00, but that was cancelled and the next pick up was 4:00. Luckily I called my husband to come pick me up so I didn't have to wait, but I sure felt sorry for the four people waiting four hours to finish their trip to Idaho. This is a very important service to provide, but Salt Lake Express needs to get their communication and scheduling worked out! P.S. There is no wi/fi, but the there are USB ports at the seats. read more
