Food has been hit or miss the two times we've been. Steak both times has been overcooked and tough. But shrimp and other dishes have been very good. Really liked some of the flavors and it's great to have a new option in this food desert of an area. Price to portion seemed fair. Location is good with a lot of seating but whatever cleaner they are using is leaving the place smelling very chemically. I watched others react to it as they walked in as well. Not a bad thing it smells like cleaner but this is more of a chemical smell that's not pleasing. No online ordering is wild in 2026, giving the benefit of the doubt here that they will add it but it's been open for enough time now that you would think it would be available. Without that I don't think we'll be back for takeout. Ordering and then just sitting and waiting feels like a waste of time when everywhere has online ordering at this point. Really want this place to succeed and hoping to see some improvements. Solid 3/5 right now but easily could become so much better!

Worth it!

Love how the Ceviche has a choice with Octopus and Shrimp! Torino's are a must try. I plan to come back again and try more dishes! Only thing is the plating of the meal it's in Togo containers. Yeah it's easy if you have leftovers and can just put a lid, But when I have a sit down dinner I think of real plates. But that won't stop me from coming to check out more dishes!

SALT had great food & service. We were able to watch the World Cup game on their many tv's & try the food. It all was fantastic! My husband ordered a hot honey margarita & said the flavor was perfection. We started with toritos, then with fish taco for me & carne & shrimp tacos for my hubby. All fresh is so tasty! We will definitely be back!

We went in for lunch a few weeks ago and it was our first time. The owner was our server/bartender, she was super friendly and helpful with our questions. Overall great atmosphere and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back for more!

Shrimo and Octopus Cocktail! Had some decent sized shrimp a d the base was delicious.

Good options. Maybe on the pricey side but hey its seafood. All the thing we tried were good. Portions were decent.

A seafood forward taco spot- sign me up! I was familiar with SALT from their food truck days and I am so excited they have a location in East Mesa. They offer unique seafood tacos such as octopus, shrimp and fish as well as typical land offerings. Came in and tried their octopus and shrimp burrito- it was delicious and very filling. I did takeout and the service was friendly and quick. There's plenty of options to sit in the restaurant and everything was shiny and new!

Only one worker, not overly busy. Busted speaker was a little annoying. Food was good. I tried three different tacos. Fish taco was so so good, great flavor. Octopus taco only tastes like the char of the grill. Carne asada taco was mid at best sadly.

I kicked off our 90-minute experience with the Blackberry Yuzu Margarita, and it was the perfect balance of crisp, sweet, and tart. I wrapped things up with the Macadamia Nut Piña Colada which, fittingly for being "aboard" a pirate ship, was delightfully rum-forward without being overly sweet. In between cocktails, we shared a couple of snacks that were such a welcome addition -- something you sadly don't always find at local speakeasies! The service was top-notch thanks to our bartender Rocco, whose knowledge and attention to detail made the experience even more fun. Between the creative cocktails, immersive vibe, and fantastic hospitality, Undertow is easily one of the coolest spots around!

Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.

The staff and manager were so friendly and attentive that leaving an extra tip felt like the only appropriate response. My visit ended with one of the best desserts I've ever had: peach bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and local honey. Pure heaven. I'll definitely be returning--there are several other menu items I can't wait to try. 5 stars!

The bun seems to be coated with butter and toasted (can't go wrong with that) and the meat ....perfection. It was tender and so flavorful. The other star of the show was the fries. Now they're not healthy (of course) but man are they delicious. They're perfectly fried and seasoned. Our friends ordered the fish and chips and that dish got good reviews too. I personally also love the feel of the restaurant. It's a chill bar and grill type vibe and if you're someone who loves alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks, there's something for you on the menu. As for the service...top notch. Our server was training someone today and both of them were fantastic in my opinion. We will definitely be back, especially for that amazing French dip.

I had a…read moreside salad, though I should have probably gotten French fries to be consistent with how I've eaten Reubens in the past. But, my wife had fries that I could steal and I appreciate having a salad option. The little side salad had a nice bitterness complemented by the slight sourness of the dressing. The meat was flavorful and sliced perfectly while the bread was toasty enough to stay together long enough to hold in all that juiciness. Our server was attentive and friendly and I'll happily go back to try some menu staples ... unless the next special demands my attention like that Reuben did.

The queso was rich without being too heavy, and the mustard added a nice contrast. For my meal, I had the Caesar salad topped with a bistro steak cooked a perfect medium rare. The romaine was crisp, the garlic-anchovy dressing bold, and the garlic croutons and parmesan tied everything together. The steak was tender, flavorful, and elevated the salad. At the table, we also ordered the cheesesteak with Angus beef, roasted peppers and onions, Havarti cheese, and garlic aioli served on a baguette, with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was hearty and satisfying, and the fries were really good The wagyu burger was another standout--topped bacon, Gruyère and smoky blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli on a pub bun. The beef and bacon were fabulous and the fries cooked to perfection Jake, our server, was terrific--attentive, friendly, and helped make the whole experience even better. We finished with the butterscotch bread pudding topped with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce, which was the perfect ending--warm, comforting, and just the right amount of sweetness Overall, a great patio dining experience with flavorful dishes, excellent service, and plenty of variety.
