My mom and sis went to Salt for apps after an afternoon of shopping. We were greeted immediately as we walked in by very kind hosts. We sat inside at a pink booth. We love that. Sometimes you read reviews and you have to see for yourself. The reviews weren't great. So I had low expectations. We visited Salt with some friends after a college visit. The decor is a stunning homage to Dia de Los Muertos and very cool. A tad overwhelming, but cool. We were served by a young woman who seemed annoyed we were there. There was no soup in the men's restroom. When I asked an employee about it they acted nonchalant about it. Then I escalated it to a manager and he confirmed the cooks use the same restroom as the guests and I stated that should be a concern to him because that means if the cook used the restroom they didn't wash their hands. I met up with two girlfriends for lunch yesterday at Westgate. We decided to check out Salt. I am SO glad that we did. None of us knew that they offered brunch, that was such a pleasant surprise. I had a Raspberry Hibiscus margarita, not only was it pretty, it was tasty as well. I took a chance on the Red Velvet Waffles. OMG, totally life changing!!! These were so delicious, I felt like I was being spoiled. No flavor was overpowering and the syrup only added to the luxury. One of my girlfriends had the same dish and she was finished before I was! Our server was amazing, he kept checking on us and always had a smile on his face. His vibe was absolutley perfect, and we told him so! I can't remember his name, but he really made our day. :) My friends and I sat for a long time just chatting and had the space for about 2 hours, it was nice to not feel rushed to leave. Dined on 10/11/25 at the Westgate location (we've also dined at their Norterra location). We had a party of 10. It was difficult to talk/hear due to the noise from patrons attending the soccer match at stadium and/or rodeo at arena. Our server was busy with our large party, 2 other large parties and a few small tables. Getting refills was difficult but she worked hard. We ordered their Trio appetizer (nacho chips, salsa, guacamole and Queso). This was below average as the regular salsa is bland. You have to get the Habanero salsa (which costs $1.50 per cup). The queso was watery and lack flavor. The guacamole was ok. We also ordered their machos nachos w/ chicken. It was HUGE but average. A lot of chip, a little chicken, a few jalapeños, and not much queso for $23.50! For entrees, their burritos and shrimp tacos were rated "good" to "very good". Nothing was "OMG, definitely have to get that again". We ordered a pitcher of their Prickly Pear & a pitcher of their The Skinny. Both are $47/each. The pear was extremely sweet and watered down for $47. The skinny was also watered down. Both not worth $47/pitcher. Overall, we felt the food, drinks and atmosphere is better at the Norterra location. read more

My family & I went to this location late August to try their food & drinks. We tried to call & make reservations online & was not able too so we decided to go there in person instead. The decor & service was very nice. The food was very overpriced for a restaurant that serves taco's, burritos, chips, guacamole & etc. They do offer happy hour specials during the week only from 3-6p on certain drinks & appetizers. I've been here a few times as I know one of the employees. I do prefer coming just to eat and drink versus late night when the club starts. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I ordered a margarita flight and was not disappointed. The flavors that came with it were pineapple, kiwi, prickly pear, and raspberry. My family also got margaritas and they enjoyed theirs as well. The food was decent. This time around we just ordered some appetizers. This included the macho nachos, taquitos, and some chips and guacamole. The nachos were huge! I would say feed at least 3 people. Very worth the price but also kinda hard to eat. It's like a game of tortilla chip Jenga. The taquitos were flavorful and those went quickly with my family. My bill was supposed to be in the mid-$30s but when I gave the waitress my card, she swiped it on someone else's tab and brought me back a credit card slip to sign for a $100+ transaction that included several entrees and kid's meals that we did not order! We ordered the MACHO NACHOS for lunch on March 30, 2024. The nachos were great but way too much food for 2 people.  It was huge and we only/barely had half of it. It would be better if they offered 2 sizes. A lot of wasted food.  Restaurant was not busy and we sat inside as the music was to loud on the patio. Never figured out why restaurants feel the need to make it so loud where a couple has to raise their voices just to be heard by each other. So all in all, food was great, service was great, thanks Landon (spelling) nice young lady, and nice place to eat. Stopped here for a business lunch with coworkers before a meeting at a Westgate hotel. I was very impressed with the tacos. Since it was Taco Tuesday, the tacos were cheap and you could order them individually. I got a potato, pastor and Vampire (basically a rich birria) taco. All three were excellent but the Vampire was the star. Make sure you drink up the sauce the Vampire was served with. We all shared chips and salsa and got iced teas. My bill was under $11 so great price. The ambiance of this place is super fun too with modern Mexican design and I plan to come back to eat, drink and party sometime at night as I'm told it's a pretty fun spot after dark. read more

Upon arrival, the manager was the host seating customers and he just didnt look happy to even be there. Kalcey (sorry if i spelled your name wrong! i lost my reciept) was my waitress and she was super sweet and bubbly. She took my order and was extremely attentive. Even was apologetic when she was held up with another table. Unfortunately she did get my drink order wrong but i didnt mind. I had asked for their pinche mojito but with rum instead of tequila but she got me a white rum with watermelon red bull so I didnt fight it. I ordered their asada enchiladas with red sauce and it was okay. Portions of my asada was burnt and very dry but plate had very nice portions. Upon paying, I had asked Kalcey to adjust my bill to honor my discount for staying with the hotel and she had her manager put in the discount. Unfortunately he only applied 10% but when I had kindly asked another staff, he adjusted it to more than the offer which was nice of him. Food was mediocre. Nothing really stood out to me other than Kalcey's service. The manager was majority of the time found texting on his phone while all of the girls are running around waiting tables. read more

It's 115° out and the front door is open the entire time with tables directly facing it. When we asked our server if they could close it, since we were all sweating hot, she said they can't close it because "customers need to see their open." I'm pretty sure people can figure out a restaurant with an entire glass wall and music inside, people inside, is open. It was during business hours. CLOSE THE DOOR. They live up to their name for sure. Salt. I couldn't even eat my food because it was so so so salty :( The "mini chimi's" were pretty good, but they say they are carnitas chimis. My first visit here was not so great. My drinks did not taste right and the mahi-mahi taco was underwhelmingly seasoned. However, last Saturday evening, my coworker had a going away party and there was 17 of us on the table. I would have to say that our server did a stellar job on how he handled our tabs!
