This place was super cute, very small so you probably don't want to come with a big group, but per for a solo to 4 person party. They have dimmed lights that give that super cozy feel to it. The staff is super nice and attentive, I'm not vegetarian but I'm always open to yummy all veg meals and this, did not disappoint! Everything was so savory, so much flavor in all of the things we got, deff recommend this place!

We found this place just looking for places to eat in Barcelona and oh goodness am I glad we found it! It's a very small hole-in-the-wall tucked away in an alleyway off from the main walking road. If we had just walked past it without knowing, we probably would not have even noticed or stopped to look inside. The inside has mood lighting and is a cozy space. There is a bar and some seats towards the back. Technically, this place is a tea house but neither my husband nor I were in the mood for tea. Instead, we got a half liter of red sangria to share and it was SO good: sweet, tangy, filled with fruit, and enough for about two drinks each. I have never really been a huge olives fan, but I had also never had them in Spain. And many of the menu items had olives, so instead of just avoiding those items or asking them to be made without olives, I took a chance and asked the woman who was helping us if I could just try one olive. She was super sweet and brought a little plate of a few olives for us to try. Now, I'm still not a huge olives fan and that wasn't a life-changing experience, BUT it was much better than I had had before. We ended up getting the eggplant dip appetizer and the sardo cuatro estaciones. The eggplant tapa was good, but didn't knock our socks off. It had large pieces of nicely cooked eggplant with crispy bread/crackers and they paired nicely. I might have added some salt to it. But the sardo WAS a life changing experience and my husband enjoyed it also. It was full of flavor and crispy and creamy at the same time. I almost considered getting another sardo just for myself despite being so full. The whole experience including the sangria, food, and staff was amazing and this will be first on my list should we go back to Barcelona again!

We only got sangria, but it was some of the best we've ever had. Strong and juicy with lots of delicious fruit. The place was gorgeous inside and had a really nice homey feel. Plus our server was a really great guy and was very nice. They had a great playlist going in there so he helped me find it on Spotify. Great little hole in the wall spot! (Btw- the oldest building in Barcelona is literally across from it)

A very tight fitting place but worth being squished. Amazing food coming out of the worlds smallest kitchen. Sangria was delish and tapas too!

We stumbled upon this place and we're so glad we did! The place is small but it's quite cozy with rustic charm. The staff made us felt very at home despite feeling squished up against the bar. However, the bar seats are the best seats in the house as you get the luxury of watching the staffs' skill and art. My mom who use to own a restaurant was impressed at the effortless cutting skills of the fruit, They would work and talk among each other, without even having to glance at peeling an apple. The magic that went into making the sangria made for an elevated taste. It was quite memorable even months later. We also had a couple of appetizers which came in good portions. Their dessert pastries were the perfect size. Great place for drinks and a light dinner/snacks, especially for a date night!

10 Stars!!! Our favorite meal and restaurant to date in Barcelona, hands down. Intimate dining, delicious food, lovely people. Try a Sardo, their original concoction. We had the four seasons and mushroom sardos. Will be back to try others. Super cozy spot, can't say enough about how much we loved it. Come early as it's very small and fills up quickly.

Unbelievably good food. Staff is so nice and welcoming. We had sangria and beers along with the Sardos. Must visit.

Great sangria. The assortment of olives is great. The cheese starter is good, but not really an assortment. Love the ambience.

My Greek salad was very authentic and was as good as any salad I had while I lived in Greece. Very fresh vegetables, great Feta and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp scampi under the Tapas menu with garlic was equally good and oh so tasty. The smallish inside restaurant is best described as rustic and a tad warm. Instead I opted for the outside dining area, which has just a few tables but offered a very pleasant ambiance in the small side street this business is located on with low foot traffic and a very nice breeze on the warm day I dined here. The relaxed dining on the outside is definitely the way to go here especially during the summer months. From a negative standpoint, certain aspects of the service were too slow. I was seated pretty quickly upon arrival but I waited a tad bit too long to get my order in. Once ordered though, the food came pretty quickly on a positive note. However, for all intents and purposes the service stopped at that point where I had no follow up and literally had to walk inside the business to get my bill. Overall, the dining experience was still great for me slow service aside as the quality of the food and outdoor ambiance far outweighed the negatives. I would say if you are in a bit of there rush you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing dining experience with great food than this business will be definitely fit the bill!

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

We got there right when it was opening and our waitress spoke real good English and I ordered a beer and the black ink paella. There were a lot of good looking dishes available though! If we were here longer, I would have tried their regular paella as well, I liked it because you could order a single serving, which seemed a little rare in Barcelona. The dish came out about fifteen minutes later, which is good for paella, because you know they made it fresh. I heard some places just nuke it and bring it out. It comes out in the cool looking pan that looks like a gold mining pan. It is colored deep black and has a huge prawn in the middle and lots of clams and mussels and calamari. The rice was cooked perfectly and the black squid ink sauce was delectable. Great service and my second beer was a great pairing for a lunch that fills you up perfectly. Highly recommended place, that could have been touristy, by was a delightful surprise!

Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish. The service was slow (as everywhere in Barcelona) but it was efficient, and our Egyptian waiter had good recommendations for everything. He was funny and personable.
