If I had ten thousands dollars I would have given it to the entire staff at Saltgrass Steak House in Cedar Hill today. From the greeter at the front, the the wait staff, servers, and managers, you guys were awesome! Special thanks to Fred and Ashley for taking care of my mom and I. All I can say is I pray no one chokes here. Ok I have tried and tried to give this location a chance but today was the final straw. Me and my Husband were having lunch here today around 3:30 or 4:00. There was a Customer that was eating there is need of medical attention. They say he was unconscious so the only person I saw that was assisting this Customer was a young Man with dreads. I didn't get his name or anything but he was holding the Customers head until EMS arrived. I didn't see any of the Managers trying to assist him at all. No kind of assistance whatsoever. When EMS arrived they started chest compression. Needless to say they didn't rush off when they loaded him on the ambulance . Which really broke my heart because as all of this was happening I was in shock at how all of the Managers where just standing around looking instead of assisting. Long story short Saltgrass Cedar Hill maybe the Managers and Employees should take a CPR course as a Team Building exercise maybe next time one of you could save a life or better yet invest in a defibrillator. I love Saltgrass. It is one of my favorite restaurants. Prices are reasonable for the food and service you receive there. Steaks are always cooked to order, salads are crisp and fresh. Their tea is good especially with a fruit flavor added in. The queso brisket is a favorite appetizer. Get a baked sweet potato it's great. read more

I came in for my birthday dinner with my twin sister. Fred, the manager was the first person to greet us and show us to our table. He was smiling and friendly and very inviting. We were seated in a section and served Brandy was phenomenal. As many times as I have dined in Saltgrass this is by far the best service that I've received. I have received good service on many occasions, but Brandy went above and beyond to make our birthday dinner a beautiful one. Our food was served fast and the portions were appropriate. I came here on my birthday back in December. I ordered the pat's 16oz ribeye cooked to medium. I must say I loved this steak! Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Me and my gf ordered fried onions which was really good and I loved the border sauce. Nice, and a little sour like ranch. The potato soup was also delicious! And you can't forget their bread! The server was great she went above and beyond doing her part during our visit. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. When it comes down to the food it was terrible. My daughter had a steak that wasn't to her liking so she just told them she didn't want it at all, she would just eat her salad. I had chopped steak steak and asked for it to cooked medium well and it came medium rare. Of course I sent it back but it just was not the same to me. I couldn't eat it because my appetite had been spoiled when I received food that was not to my liking. To make matters worst the steak that my daughter sent back she still got charged a percentage of the cost for it. I don't know what has happened to this place within the past two months when I last visit there but it has gone down hill as far as food is concerned.
