The server was great she went above and beyond doing her part during our visit. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. When it comes down to the food it was terrible. My daughter had a steak that wasn't to her liking so she just told them she didn't want it at all, she would just eat her salad. I had chopped steak steak and asked for it to cooked medium well and it came medium rare. Of course I sent it back but it just was not the same to me. I couldn't eat it because my appetite had been spoiled when I received food that was not to my liking. To make matters worst the steak that my daughter sent back she still got charged a percentage of the cost for it. I don't know what has happened to this place within the past two months when I last visit there but it has gone down hill as far as food is concerned. Arrived at restaurant with friend from work. Waitress cleared nearby table before coming to assist us. When she arrived, we ordered 1 entree, 2 salads, and 2 large house margaritas on the rocks with salted rim. We received no water. The entree came out first. 10 minutes later we received our salads. Near the end of the meal we received bread, and the butter had hair mixed in. After 3 trips back to our table to check our order, we finally received out margaritas. I come here for lunch (oftentimes late lunch because the hrs are so long!) at least once every 2 weeks or so and get the same thing: Flavored tea, Caesar salad, Pat's Ribeye with side of chimichurri cream (not the usual herb/oil version) and brussel sprouts -- it's the perfect 2 meals for 1 for me! They don't skimp on the salad dressing, which I love. The steak and sprouts are always good but the tastes vary each time (more/less seasoned than before). Food is okay. But we went out kinda disappointed. They do overcharge on some items and when we told them the menu price the server was just "oh yeah the price changed". They should have informed us at the first place that there are some price changes on the food. The chips and queso we ordered is okay but some of the chips are stale. Absolute worst for Togo orders and customer service . 1 hour waiting on a Togo .. leave you waiting over 10 minutes on phone . They have no intentions of solving the problem . After calling multiple times finally go inside . Food was sitting there and was cold by time we ate $100 worth of food . At least change the time to 1.30hr wait when I order it .. so I can choose to waste that much time . Maybe even have someone working Togo orders that knows food sitting for a long time is a red flag . Maybe check on it ..... then to get home and have 3 things missing .. BUT ... I will leave this up and continue to say.. after speaking to the manager .. they did resolve the issue . This is a great steakhouse. Their filet at both lunch and dinner were perfect. However, I would come back here just for their Cesar salad. One of the best I've had. Our table also enjoyed the brisket queso appetizer. The servers were very helpful. I would say it's best to sit in a booth or edge table because it can get loud. I visited Salt grass on hwy 67 March 12, 2025. The server was nice however when she served salads to a full table her stringy hair was laying in salad bowl she was holding up on serving tray. Taken my appetite away. I will now ask for male servers due to women hair hanging and not protected from serving food. Meh . . . That should never be the way one describes a steak dinner but it appears that the bar has been lowered and this is no longer a steak house but more like a place that serves steaks on the menu. We walked in and was greeted but a young lady that seemed very unpleasant. She took us to a table right by the kitchen and when we asked if we could please sit in a booth, she rolled her eyes and started walking towards a booth. She gave us menus but no silverware. The waitress came and greeted us and she was EXTREMELY friendly and IF this review was just about her, the stars would be much higher. She got us started on our drinks and brought some bread, then took our orders. She did let us know that she was just out of training but even with that, she TRIED which is more than many people do. Food came and I must say I'm disappointed that the fried shrimp seem like pre-breaded shrimp. I asked to get grilled shrimp and a new potato as when I split my baked potato I saw that the inside had black parts - no doubt that they saw this when the put the toppings on. The manager, Jesse, brought the new food to the table and apologized for the previous issue. However as I got ready to eat the shrimp I noticed that they weren't cleaned well and at this point, I'm done. My wife and myself went to the restaurant on Friday 2/7/25 to sit at the bar and have appetizers and a few drinks. We went during happy hour and the bar was packed and very hectic. I went to the bar to get drinks for us and the person who helped us was the manager Jennifer who was assisting the bar. She took my drink order and an appetizer order even though very busy. I asked if we could sit on the patio and she was very accommodating and the appetizers were brought out to us and we were not forgotten on the patio, even though the restaurant was very busy. Been coming here about 4 years now and seems it constantly gets worse... today was the last straw. Show up at 3pm, not a busy time normally. As we walk up there are a few people sitting outside waiting. We walk in and the greeter says it will be 30-35 minutes... as I'm looking around I see 8 open tables and a couple more that are dirty.
