I came here on a Monday night, around 6pm and placed a takeout order. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with green beans and a slice of carrot cake. I sat at the bar while I waited for my order. It was PACKED for a Monday night. The ribeye is large, tender, nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked (medium). The green beans were also nicely seasoned, had a nice crunch and was a good portion. My favorite part of the meal is the CARROT CAKE! It's a generous portion, so moist, not too sweet. The cream cheese frosting is light, fluffy and not sweet. Probably one of the best Carrot Cakes I've had. Definitely will return and recommend. read more

This is the second time I've eaten at Saltgrass. We were here on a weekend getaway to the city of Laughlin . I have always been lucky enough to be seated by the window with a view of the river. These tables are great ( I would request one if it's available) as it can get pretty loud in the center of the restaurant. This is a Landry's restaurant, so we always try to use or Landry's Select Club card to earn rewards. ( it's free to sign up and has many ways to earn ) The server was attentive, and very quick to grab our Espresso Martinis from the bar. These are my favorite drink, and Saltgrass makes them soooo good! We also ordered the fried pickles and peppers- the peppers were spicy but in a good way! We also ordered the filet and the Chicken Laredo. ( I forgot a picture of the food except the fried pickles and martinis!) It comes with bread, a pretty big portioned salad and a side... we opted for the mac and cheese and baked potato- it was so much good, we could have shared one meal!!!! Everything was cooked perfectly and served quickly! The food is great, reasonably priced, and the menu has something for everyone. ( pub food included!) Laughlin, so we decided to give it a try. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily, we were seated right away at a table with a fantastic river view. The restaurant was pretty busy by the time we sat down, but our server greeted us with a smile and suggested we try the fried shrimp jalapeño poppers (I forgot the exact name, but they were amazing). We went with the shrimp jalapeño poppers and a ribeye steak with fried onions. The poppers were possibly the best I've ever had--the spice level was perfect, and they had just the right amount of heat. The fried onions were super thin and crispy, and I loved the texture. As for the ribeye, it was cooked perfectly to medium-rare and was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was spot on, not too salty, but just the right balance. To top it all off, we had a beautiful river view, and dining there at sunset made for an unforgettable experience. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Laughlin! read more

It was a Friday night, and they were not taking any more reservations. Fortunately, they were able to get me in as a walk-in. I'm glad they did. The space is large, it's very clean, and everyone was very friendly.. I got great service. The space can get loud, so it might not be the best for a quiet or a romantic meal. The meal started out with a large round of warm brown bread, with a delicious sweet butter. I liked it a lot. My meal came with soup or salad, so I chose the chicken tortilla soup. It had lots of chicken, veggies, rice, a dollop of avocado, with tortilla strips on top. The bread and the soup, they make from scratch. The broth was also delicious. It *did* have a bit of a "zip" to it, but it was well within what i can handle for spicy. If you don't "do" spicy, you might want to try something else. For my main course, I had the petite fillet. 6 oz. I asked for it medium rare, and that's exactly how it came. The flavor of the steak was so good. I decided to splurge a little, and I had it " cowboy style," with grilled shrimp and butter on top. The shrimp were delectable, with just a tiny bit of a char on them. I also had the flash fried green beans as well, and they were also very good. I was stuffed, but I just had to try a slice of their carrot cake.. so, I took it back to my room with me. So rich and delicious once again, I tore into it so fast, I forgot to get a picture. An excellent meal, and they also offer a military/veterans discount. If the staff is reading this, you know exactly who you are. This was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've ever had. I arrived just five minutes late to put my name on the waitlist, and was accused of being 20 minutes late. Fine -- I asked to be added back on the list and waited another 45 minutes. When I came back to check in, I asked if I still needed to wait in line just to let them know I had returned. They said yes. By the time I got to the front, they told me I was late again -- because I waited in the line they told me to stand in -- and said I'd now have to be added to the waitlist for a third time with another hour-long wait. I asked to speak with the manager, hoping for some basic understanding. Instead, I was met with extreme rudeness and zero sympathy. Not only did the manager brush me off, but they acted as if I was the problem -- despite the fact that I had now spent nearly three hours just trying to get seated. This place is chaotic, unprofessional, and clearly only cares about how many people they can pack in -- not about the actual experience of their guests. I ended up going to the steakhouse at Harrah's and had an incredible dinner with respectful service and great food. Save yourself the stress and do your research before ending up at a place like this. They'll never get my business again. read more

While eating our salad we had 5 people try to take our salad while we were eating it. I almost had to say leave us alone. The manager was arrogant. Lastly not handicap friendly. They sit u on one side of the restaurant and make u put your wheelchair by the bar so it is impossible to be able to go sit at a table and how are yiu supposed to get to your table if they dont let u out your wheel chair nearby. Another year, another birthday. We went to dinner for my birthday and the dinner was wonderful. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. My husband had the glazed pork chops and they melted in your mouth. We always have the delicious Caesar salad. But, this time they were out of the parmesan flakes for the salad. This the best park that gives the salad its flavor. We were told that the flakes were not available for the foreseeable future. We were seated inside right along the river. At night you can see lit up boats going by. The food was good, but it's a little pricey. I got the NY Strip (pretty much all I'll ever get) it was cooked correctly, and it comes with one side, and a salad or soup. Nothing to write home about, but still very decent quality. The croutons in my salad were obviously home made type, and not the super dry boxed kind. Myself and 2 others rode about 250 miles to eat here based on a recommendation.
