Stayed next door so stopped by on the recommendation of some fellow hotel guests. Had an early dinner special, which was a great deal for soup, steak and a side for less than $20. The potato up was good, but I like mine old-school without all the extra ingredients, but it was good. Steak and broccoli were tasty and warm, but there was a very long wait between soup and entree so I assume someone missed the order. I wasn't in a hurry and the soup held held me over. Service was a solid 10, friendly and diligent. Ambiance is your standard Saltgrass, bar could be a bit larger but that is standard layout. read more

Staff is super nice and attentive. The restaurant is clean too. Kids meal is priced well and generous. That is for the burger. The warm bread is soft and comes with sweet butter. Got here between five and six and ordered the lunch special of beef tips, with mushrooms on a bed of mashed potatoes with cognac sauce. It was a small portion. I left feeling hungry. Going to have my second dinner soon. This is why I give 3 stars. Kids meal easily had double the amount of food as mine. read more

Saltgrass has decent food but kind of pricey for what you get. I had a sirloin and my wife has salmon and we shared an appetizer, and the total without top was nearly $100. The food was good but the baked potatoes were on the small side. The food was cooked to perfection. My biggest issue is the service. It is mediocre at best. After seeing Kelly O's review, earlier today; of Saltgrass, I had to go in and try it today! Her pictures of the black pepper crusted steak looked so appealing as did the Mac & cheese! The inside was a little dark in appearance, a little like the old-time steak houses. Everything look clean and well maintained! The food was 5 stars, and though we ordered lunch portions, we still ended up taking some of it home! The Mac & cheese was very cheesy but at an up charge. The service was 3 stars. Though it was fairly empty, with 5+ waiters standing around and apparently 2 folks for the hostess stand, no one was there, several minutes wait to be seated. Wait for our waitress was longer than should have been. She had no idea of what black pepper crusted steak was. I had to pull up the picture from Christy's review before a manager finally came and explained it. Had to as for extra butter twice before getting it. Service was slow throughout our visit. We tried Saltgrass a few months back and absolutely loved everything. The staff were courteous and checked on us. We had two toddlers and they asked if we needed anything for them. Had to have the steak and it was perfect as well as the sides. It was lunchtime, and while it was busy, it was still amazing. Will definitely go back again. read more

My combo meal of dry, overcooked grilled shrimp and inedible, gristle ridden sirloin and browning salad consisting only of lettuce, cheese, and croutons is enough to convince me. A terrible experience on nearly all fronts. The host was great and the waitress was nice But the wine took forever (both times) and they forgot a couple of things. The signature steak and shrimp came out way overcooked, but I just lived with it. When the bill came, I knew something was wrong. I ordered the house wine and was billed for the higher end, which she acknowledged. But the manager had the gall to insist because I drank the more expensive wine, I would have to pay for something I didn't order and when I refused she rescinded an offer for a dessert-- which I mutually refused at that point. Two stars for the service - the bartender was nice and attentive. The steak was horrible. I got the sirloin medium rare and had to saw that thing apart and chew 3 minutes each bite. I did get it "Oscar style" with crab on top. That was the best part of the meal. Mashed potatoes were so garlicky, I couldn't eat them. Really enjoyed our visit here. We started our meal off with the fried mushrooms! They were really good and surprisingly not greasy! That's usually the case with fried foods. Duh!!! Today it wasn't! We had the Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders that comes with slaw and honey mustard. Pretty good appetizers. Our family is off to a great start! The service was spot on. We had so many loaves of bread and whipped butter. Grateful, our waitress kept those loaded on our table. Their salads are good and all the dressing are homemade! After being seated we were quickly greeted by our server Jazmin. Our food was delivered promptly and the temperature of our steaks was perfect. Jazmin kept our drinks refilled and was very pleasant. We frequent here at least once a month and have always had great food & service. Went in at 4pm on Friday and it was not crowded. Our server was basically, how can I put it, not friendly. Acted like we were putting him out. My husband had the NY strip, I ordered grilled chicken. The side of broccoli we both ordered was completely raw. Barely blanched. I asked our server for lemon when he brought our food and my husband for a soda refill. That was the last time we saw him. Forty minutes later he showed up smelling horribly of cigarette with our check. When I commented on my uneaten broccoli he said "next time tell the chef to cook it twice!" Sarah the manager did offer to bring more broccoli but we had been finished with our protein over 15 minutes. This place has so many wonderful attentive servers & this guy was dialing it in. Had this been my first time here, I would be surely leaving a one star review. However, I don't think it's fair to leave a review based on just one bad experience. My first time dining here a few months ago was wonderful. Absolutely no complaints which was the reason why I came back. After this second visit here, I will not be returning. We were seated promptly and service started off great. Drinks, bread, and appetizers were brought out in a timely manner. Our dinner however did not. I didn't say anything when the table seated after us received their food before we did. But let's just say my patience ran out when I still didn't receive my dinner by the time they had finished their meal, paid, and left. Same section, same server. We flagged down another server, since ours went MIA, to request to speak to a manager; something I never do. Not surprising our meal came out shortly after that and right before she came over. Our server didn't even apologize for the wait when he brought out our food. At this point, it was an hour and 45 minutes since we sat down. We told the manager that we had actually wanted to cancel our dinner order, but we didn't want to be jerks so we told her we would go ahead and eat it. I wish I had gotten her name. Her response to our comments was weak and she honestly didn't seem too concerned. I guess I thought it was a big deal when you speak to a manager about issues with your meal. They were quick to give us our check though. Man, I regretted wasting my Landry's birthday reward on this meal. read more

Consistently throws steaks and sides in the same container for delivery. A a cooked steak rests, it releases rendered fat, myoglobin and moisture. This mixes with the side effectively ruining the side (like serving an entire steak dinner in a paper bag). No excuse for this, this location does it consistently time and after time again despite the management saying it is their policy not to do this. read more
