This was my first time there and I wasn't too impressed. The chicken slider was good but I don't recommend getting the tenders by themselves. The cheese sticks were just ok but for 5 pcs and fries at a $15 price tag, I'd definitely recommend passing. Service was excellent! Food was good but order down your spicy level unless you are drunk and eating it on a dare! We love spicy food, but hit was too hot for us. We loved the teriyaki sauce. Our food wasn't even warm. Idk how much earlier it was cooked or not fully cooked or just sitting out but it was cool. The restaurant was filled with smoke like something had burnt. We had placed our order online and when we picked it up through the window, we were just given empty cups and we had to ask if we needed to get off to fill them up and they said yes. Went to the fountains and all the drinks were empty. Had to ask them to gives us bottled drinks in place of. Kinda stinks, we were hopeful about having a Dave's so close. read more

They're soooo slow.... food is good. Service is not bad but good grief. It wasnt even busy and still had to wait 20 mins plus... keep in mind DHC has a limited menu ANYWAY.... I really hope they improve whatever processes they're using. The restaurant itself is mid-size and clean with typical metal chairs. A good spot for a quick lunch with friends. Location can be a bit awkward because the parking lot exits right to Main Street/35 exit that's bombarded with construction. TIPS !!! Why is the first thing you see when paying is a TIP. It has a percentage or other. It didn't have the option of no tip. I selected other then put in zero. I ordered the #4 which is a slider and fries. Also comes with a stack of dill pickles. It was fresh with hot fries. This cost $9.99 which was a little expensive for a chicken sandwich and fries but tasted OK. Nothing exceptional. The tip experience really turned me off. Pay your employees more and remove the tip screen. Why do you tip counter clerks and cooks ? Does Dave pay them sub minimum wage ? If not this is greed and nothing more. I give servers 20% all the time since they get sub minimum wage. I most likely won't be back !!! read more

We typically go to the Dave's off Preston but Lewisville is closer so we swung by for dinner. The 3 employees were standing in the back talking about a Starbucks order and after 3 to 5 minutes one guy came out and the other 2 left. They clearly saw us. With just one person working the entire restaurant it took 20 minutes for our 2 orders to come out. Fries were fine, but the chicken tasted like it was cooked in old oil. It had a burnt flavor to it but it was not burnt. Please also remove the tip option when paying, I order at a counter, pick up my food at the counter, fill my own drinks, and bus my own table. What am I being asked to tip for? Over all, we will not be returning to the Lewisville location. read more

Visited this Lewisville store right about lunch time (11:3 ish) on a Thursday. We weren't in a hurry, but I expected it to take a little while based on some of the reviews. We were greeted by a friendly young woman and an equally friendly young man as we entered. We ordered a 2 slider meal medium spicy and a slider and tender meal being hot and medium. The order came out very quickly and was plenty warm and fresh. Everything tasted great. The workers were great and the store was clean and tables clear when we went to sit down. I saw the young lady cleaning in the dining area as we left. Really good crew, store and food! Keep it up! read more

It's the weekend my cheat day for a meal and I decided to get adventurous let's go try Dave's Hot chicken at 9pm on a Sunday Football Night yuck. I walked in ordered a #3 Medium Slider and tender. And a Mac and cheese. The guys says "I'll give you a Free Mac n cheese" I'm like cool. He goes in the back grabs a tender with his bare hands and puts it in a box. He's like I'll give you a free tender too! Im like cool but whole time im thinking im not eating that ish! I get my food and he's talking about how the business is already cutting hours and he wants to leave. Which now is making me think like maybe I shouldn't have came here. Ok I get home my fries are cold. Nobody looked like they cared anyway in there. Chicken sandwich was prepped well. But I must say the darn chicken is way over seasoned it was like eating literally glitter and chicken. Like glitter your kids play with type chicken. The sauce is cool it masks the glitter taste some of the glitter chicken. The ppl have on work shirts that literally say "Get Rich or Dye tryin". So I'm thinking you're taking my money with unquality food and a stupid idea of glitter chicken. When I can go right next door to Raising Canes! And get the best chicken strips with no glitter on it. Food was fine and staff was polite, however my to-go order took nearly 45 minutes to get, and there were a good dozen other customers all waiting on there food.
