    Caesar salad
    Jen D.

I came here reading the reviews and expecting good solid food. And that's exactly what I got. It was actually very fantastic. I got my usual Caesar salad and spaghetti when I first tried an Italian place now, and they blew me out of the water. The Caesar salad was very flavorful and big. I could have just ate that and walked away but no I had to have a spaghetti too.. spaghetti with meatballs The dish was very large, the portion was huge. I could only eat Half of it and I had to take the rest of it home. I was very glad too because I couldn't wait to eat it the next day for leftovers The sauce was very tasty. The meatball was a very good size and good texture, everything was wonderful. I actually really want to go back this weekend to get it again because it was just so good. The service was good, the waitresses were very nice. I went at an odd time of day, about 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday, so it was not super busy but it was not empty. Very highly recommended just based on the spaghetti dish that I had on a random Saturday lol. I can't to go back.

I got a to go order because we just moved back after many years but the place seemed just as clean and delicious smelling as I remember. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The prices are still reasonable too. The Alla Cacciatore isn't on the menu anymore due to a misprint but it's still available and it was my fav last time we had it many years ago. If you love bell peppers chicken and cream sauce GET IT! Already ordered before I found out it was still available but I'll be back for it. They have weekly specials that vary. I got the Chicken Garden Pasta special and Cannelloni with minestrone for both. Nice portion and flavorful!

Even though the atmosphere here feels like an exaggerated effort to be traditionally Italian (expect to hear Funiculi Funicula at least once during your visit) I couldn't help but appreciate the effort and even found it kind of quaint and charming. The positive vibe continued after we were seated and promptly served drinks and piping hot rolls topped with butter and a light seasoning of garlic. But, the momentum was lost upon the arrival our appetizer. The fried calamari was unimpressively rubbery and a little too greasy. Then came the side salads with their tomato vinaigrette house dressing. This was simply a pile of mixed greens, I suspect straight out of a bag, with a couple slices of tomato and a lone olive thrown in. Normally this too would be underwhelming, but I didn't mind since the greens were really just a vehicle for the delicious dressing. My pasta alla California with penne had a good flavor mostly thanks to the sun dried tomatoes. However, the sauce was much thinner than I would have preferred and didn't hold all the components together very well. My husband got a Stromboli with everything included. I was immediately envious of his meal as soon as I got a taste of it. The dough was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, encasing just the right amount of pizza toppings and cheese, accompanied by a hearty dipping sauce. Its also worth noting that they don't have a separate kids menu here. We were told that they would serve a reduced portion of any of their pasta dishes instead. Our server was great. She checked on us frequently, and kept our drinks topped up and bread basket filled. Despite the fact that the average rating for the food alone was closer to a 3, the service and prices boosted this to a 4 star experience.

Everything we had here was good. The service was amazing. One thing I didn't understand. We ordered a lemonade, and they only gave us water with lemon.!!! And you could take your own wine to eat with your food here BYOB, which was pretty cool. We are going back to try other pastas and the pizza next time since everything was good this time.

This place is more deserving of a 3.5 with the experience we had last night. We were craving pasta and came in around 8. As soon as we sat down in our booth, the staff were already deep in the thralls of cleaning up the place and doing closing procedures, basically an hour before. We felt so rushed during our meal ): We got the garlic bread with no cheese which was subpar. My partner got the carbonara which he likes and I got the amatriciana. The dishes were presented nicely and were flavorful. I would like to come back here but the rushed experience I had makes me hesitant.

What a great find in Lewisville!!! This unexpected little gem was such a pleasant surprise. Everything from the hostess to the checkout process was wonderful! The food was outstanding! If you want authentic Italian, this is your place!! I had one of the specials of the day, Tortellini Al Forno. The entree was accompanied by the house salad and homemade rolls. The entree portion size was enough for two meals. I'd also like to note that my parents found this little gem and introduced it to me. They have been here now 4 times and shared the Lasagna! Our server, Israel was so kind, quick and made our experience at Viva La Pasta very pleasant. The service from start to finish was top notch! The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated to resemble an Italian eatery. Plenty of seating and even a nice seating area outside to enjoy in the cooler temps! This is a MUST and would make for a great date night or eve a great place to meet friends for a great meal!! I WILL be back!

We enjoyed our meals at Viva La Pasta. First, we started off with rolls and an appetizer of Calamaretti Fritti. Then we had the house salad. Then came the entrees. I had the Fettuccine Carbonara, where the thick noodles, the crunchy bacon, the eggs, and the parmesan sauce came together to create a hot and delicious dish. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. I think we may have found our go-to Italian restaurant in Lewisville and will definitely come back here later.

She asked reservation - we do not have any reservations. Again, I stated that I have a reservation with a confirmation and reminders. She said you do? I stated yes, let's not go there and please fix it. I showed her the confirmation. They pushed tables together and we were seated. As we seated, she stated she would get us some rolls. We saw a smaller party, seated after us, receive rolls. We were eating, I asked for some rolls. She stated they are cooking some, they did not have any reservations, and did not plan for many people (like Mother's Day). I reminded that WE had a reservation. We finally received the rolls, closer to the end of our meals. During our eating, I asked her for more napkins - she responded - MORE NAPKINS - I put extras on the tables? I stated we used them (adults, children and a toddler) - we needed napkins. No cool. My son and daughter in love - waited long for their pizza (we all had our meals). She finally brought a pizza to the table and advised that the wrong pizza was cooked. (She did say they could eat that pizza (at no charge), since they have been waiting so long. Before the correct pizza arrived, she did ask if they wanted to box it up (we were all packaged up). So they did take it to go. I asked for two cups of sweet tea to go - she said you want two cups to go, I laughed and confirmed, "Yes, I am thirsty" the tea was very good! She then asked if one was for myself and my son (we both ordered tea (refills are included). We were going to get dessert, we decided, after this meal were not going to order any. After all, we didn't want to need more napkins. #1 - No apology for not having us on the reservation. #2 - She mentioned again we did not have any reservations and not prepared (when I asked for rolls). #3 - Why do we need more napkins - she had put extras on the table. #4 - Ask why I need two teas and who were they for? #5 - My daughter-in-law paid cash. She returned her change without removing the charge (which we had to ask what this fee was; she stated it was an automatic cc fee). My DIL said, "Oh, I have cash." Yet, she still charged the fee; she had to return the fee to my daughter in law. I will state that I budgeted a higher tip because we were a large party. I covered my 3 sons (the dads) and myself. However, I gave her 20% (with much regret). I just could not bring myself to reduce it. So disappointed. Food was good but that type of service!! 06.27.2026 - Finally, after sending *unanswered email, calling for owner(was told the owner would be in Friday and Sat. p.m.). Today, Jessica manager calls me back. She doesn't know their email addresses, said the owner controls the reservation. That they didn't have my reservation. Mind you I asked for the owner. She apologized - hoped we come back. Cassandra

I asked for Italian seasoning--something that's typically included or added upon request at most places. To my surprise, they tacked on an extra 20% just for the seasoning. No heads-up, no explanation. And to top it off, they barely put any on. If you're going to charge extra, at least be generous with it. It felt like a petty upcharge, especially for something so basic. Really disappointing from a place I used to frequent. Not sure I'll be coming back after this. Response to Owner: Thank you for your response and for clarifying the pricing. I understand that the $9.99 pizza was part of your Monday/Tuesday special, but frankly, the explanation came across more as a justification than an acknowledgment of my concerns. The $1.99 charge for Italian seasoning is especially frustrating. Italian seasoning is not a topping -- it's a basic flavor enhancer that most other pizza places include at no extra cost. I reviewed your listed toppings (screenshots attached) and Italian seasoning isn't even mentioned as an option. That makes it feel like the charge was arbitrarily added, and it gives the impression that it was done to squeeze more revenue from customers -- possibly due to business struggles. To be completely transparent, the pizza itself was mediocre, and this experience has left a bad impression. I won't be returning, but I hope you take this feedback seriously and use it to improve transparency and customer trust going forward.

We had no idea it would take an hour and a half for our food to show up. And when it did well, here's how it went. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the wise guy pizza. My wife enjoyed her plate. Based on the last time I ordered the same pizza a year ago what showed up on the table was a sad echo of something that used to be good. The sauce was very thin and to the point of almost being nonexistent. The meatballs were very stingy as if they were trying to increase their margins by short serving a basic pizza. Overall, it was very dry and lacking of any discernible taste. No doubt because it sat in the kitchen for quite awhile, given the unusual duration that it took for our food to show up. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. It was a very dry and disappointing for something that used to be overloaded with flavor, sauce and meatball chunks. It was a marked contrast from when we had been here a year ago. What used to be a regular go to has turned into a sad disappointment. I'm putting it down to perhaps they had an off night. But we're not in a hurry to come back anytime soon to see if that was the case.
