There wasn't anything I'd expect to taste in Greek cooking, such as garlic, onion, lemon, oregano, thyme, or rosemary. That's not necessarily a problem on its own, but it did create a different expectation versus what was served. The rib meat did fall off the bone easily. However, those most certainly appeared to be oven-cooked with steam (water on the bottom of the trey under a lid), with no pre-seasoning so the only flavors were coming from the commercial sauce squirted on afterward. Steaming the meat will remove it from the bones, but it doesn't always tenderized the meat. Some areas were chewy and tough. The chicken arrived quartered and the meat had a yellowish appearance. The breast meat was dry on the outside, although the thicker portions retained some moisture. Overall, the chicken was bland as they yellow didn't add any flavor nor did the rotisserie claimed cooking. It also didn't stand out. The side we ordered was the fries. Those were straight from bag to fryer. Standard. We were given three, 2 oz. cups of ketchup. We also ordered a full Greek salad and chose oil and vinegar as the dressing. What arrived was closer to a vinaigrette, served in small 2 oz individual cups, 1 per person. We paid extra for feta cheese, which was the only Greek flavor, otherwise they used California black olives rather than Kalamata olives. Continuing on the downward swing, one member of our group, on a separate check, ordered a side Greek salad with added feta. When the salad arrived without feta, I mentioned it to the staff. There was some confusion about whether it had been ordered, but feta was eventually provided. The interaction felt more contentious than it needed to be, though the issue was ultimately resolved. Service is primarily a counter-service, where you order and pay at the register, find a seat, and food is brought to the table. Drinks, utensils, and additional napkins are self-serve. We also bussed our own table at the end of the meal. The hallway leading to the restroom was not lit during our visit and contained cleaning equipment and some water on the floor. The restroom itself would benefit from a handyman and a professional finisher with caulking, paint and proper tools. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible and ended up being edible, but that's not how I'd like to remember my paid dining experiences. With so many strong options for Greek/Mediterranean food and BBQ around town, this restaurant isn't one I'd choose again. 3 stars to keep the review visible- otherwise 2.
