First off- the only gf menu items are chicken shawarma tin, beef shawarma tin, falafel tin, and most of the appetizers. Maybe the previous review that said they can make anything on the menu gluten free was true at one point but it is not now. Got here with a friend at 11:45 on a Monday and easily found parking. The guy working the cash register was super nice and knowledgeable about which items contained gluten. I chose the chicken shawarma tin and he told me I picked one of his favorite things. The food didn't take long. Right away I smelled cinnamon and other warm spices on the chicken. I added the green sauce on top and it was all so good with the yellow rice. I really enjoyed my meal.

I strongly believe this place is wildly underrated and remains one of Salt Lake's best Mediterranean restaurants. Its casual dining atmosphere can easily be overlooked, but don't let that stop you from their flavorful dishes. I ordered the Smothered Beef Shawarma Tin based off the photo alone, and was not one bit disappointed. It truly comes smothered in delicious green sauce, and personally, the saucier the better. I thought the beef was cooked perfectly and had a really lovely seasoning to it. The tin comes with a side salad, so the entire dish feels nutritious and fulfilling. Service was super quick and efficient! I will definitely be back to try their Makhshi Tin, which would've been my second choice. Overall, O'Falafel offers a very authentic and quality experience for reasonable prices!

I had been wanting to try O'Falafel Etc for over four months, and was finally able to stop in. The food was just okay. The fries aren't the best, and the hot sauce was neither flavorful nor spicy. The falafel wrap was the best part, and while I liked the clearly homemade bread, the rest of the sandwich was nothing to write home about. I would come back if I wear nearby and really wanted falafel, but it's unfortunately my least favorite middle eastern spot in the area so far.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was very empty, only one other table besides ours. No a/c inside, only a large fan. However, it wasn't too unbearably hot to not be able to sit and eat. Food is a bit expensive but the portions make it worth it. We had the baba ganoush to share and that was probably my favorite part of the meal. The gyro plate I had was large but the meat was extremely salty and had no char to it. The green sauce they put all over the plate had no flavor and neither did the rice. My girl had the mixed grill plate. She said the meat was moist but again, not much flavor. The art on the walls is actually really cool and the staff is friendly. Maybe we didn't order the right items but if I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely try something else.

Tried O'Falafel Etc. and overall, the food was good and served quickly. The flavors were solid, but the falafel itself was a bit on the dry side. Service was efficient, and the staff was friendly. One thing that definitely stood out in a not-so-great way--the bathroom needs serious attention and a deep clean. A few improvements there would really elevate the whole experience.

Great service and good food. I ordered take out for my work and the cashier was so helpful- she helped me out to my car with my order. I used the online ordering system and it easy. My food was ready when I arrived for pickup. The restaurant was small and cozy. It was cutely painted and appeared clean inside. I ordered the beef tin with an extra sauce. I was very glad I ordered an extra sauce since I needed it. Other employees commented that they wished they had more sauce since they ran out of sauce while eating their food. I would order the beef tin again. The veggies were crispy with the salad and the rice had a great flavor. The beef with thinly sliced and tender. The amount of beef I received was plentiful! There was so much food I had leftovers. I will be back to order this again.

Always fresh and the best Palestinian food in the SLC. The staff greets you like family and brings your food out to you fresh and with a smile. Located in the heart of Sugarhouse with a great mom and pop neighborhood vibe :) A+

I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap? What did I get a tortilla filled with chicken and no sauce! I know a shawarma is way better than this? I didn't ask for a chicken burrito even a burrito has more flavour than this. This was very disappointing for 13.25 you get chicken with a tortilla disgusting

    Small appetizer, baba ghanoush delicious!

Locals favorite! Delicious food at AFFORDABLE PRICES Authentic, delicious Greek food, family owned business, I highly recommend you try it out either eat in or get delivery. They also are on DoorDash. The Baba ghanoush is outstanding, as well as the Gyro Shawarma, rice and salad! They also have Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and a couple of burger choices, and they look like very large hamburgers. Plenty of free parking in back.

So close to home, tried the wrap and falafel burger both were good. Pretty old store and well maintained business.

The decor here is unexpectedly adorable. We shared a tin and ordered some falafel. The texture of the falafel is very good. I think this business would do well to mostly serve variations of their falafel. They also include a generous portion of pita with an order of an appetizer. The waiter was helpful and even brought us plasticware.

This place is such a hidden gem. I can't tell you how great the food was. We decided to grab some food for our coworkers and went with O'Falafel Etc. Inside was spacious and clean and super welcoming. There were plenty of seats for small and large groups. There is parking behind the building and on the side street where the neighborhood is. Parking is free. We got to try 3 different food orders from here. 1. Makhshi Tin- SO DELICIOUS. The order was so filling, there was so much flavor and it was super easy to eat. I was lucky to eat this. 2. Chicken Shawarma Tin- the chicken was so soft and flavorful. This order comes with salad as well. 3. Beef Shawarma Tin- the beef was also soft and flavorful. It also comes with a salad. Both of the chicken and beef shawarma tins come with a green sauce. If you order to go, I suggest asking for 2-3 sauces each with the tin. I think an added thing I wish I would have added to the shawarma tins was hot sauce. Maybe ask for that too! All of the rice for each meal was so soft and buttery. The rice was cooked perfectly and our coworkers raved about it the entire time. The sizes of the meal portion was great that we all had some leftover to eat later. Don't do what I did and try to finish it because I literally had food coma afterwards, haha.

I ordered the lamb pita wrap and watched them grill the meat over wood-fired coals. It was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. If you're a big eater, order an extra skewer and have them add it to the wrap. We also started with the Labneh with garlic, which was a fantastic - it's fresh and vibrant. All of the breads are made in-house in their tandoor-style oven, and the pita served alongside it was warm, fresh and spectacular. The ordering process is simple - order at the counter, take a number, find a seat, and pick up your food when your number is called. The staff was clearly busy, but when I asked a few questions about the business, they were more than happy to stop and chat. I complimented them on both their operation and the food. They seemed genuinely appreciative. I think places like this are special because they are a well run kitchen with people who care about what they're doing. And in return it comes out in their product - really good food. The ovens and cooking area are customer facing, and everything is made to order right in front of you. The interior has the feel of a one time American diner with floor tiles that match the chairs. But make no mistakes about it, this is far from that. And when I was sitting there watching the person grill skewers over the wood coals, I was thinking that this restaurants kitchen was being run like I was sitting in an open-air café in Beirut. Authenticity is on full display here and it's appreciated.

We started with the fried cauliflower and zaatar fries, both served with an incredible dipping sauce that disappeared embarrassingly fast. The cauliflower was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and honestly good enough to order again on its own. For my meal, I ordered the shakshuka. It arrived bubbling hot in a cast iron skillet with rich tomato sauce, flavorful meatballs, perfectly baked eggs, and warm grilled pita for scooping up every last bite. I've had shakshuka before, and this was easily one of the best versions I've tasted. Every bite was comforting, hearty, and packed with flavor. Spud went with a Laziz salad alongside another helping of the roasted cauliflower, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Everything that came to the table looked thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and beautifully presented. What made the experience truly memorable, though, was our waitress, Omri. As a Deaf customer, it's always a pleasant surprise when someone can communicate directly in sign language. Omri signed with us, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided exceptional service from beginning to end. That personal connection meant a great deal to me, and it absolutely elevated an already wonderful meal. I was so impressed that I happily double-tipped her. Great food, warm hospitality, and an experience my son and I will both remember. We'll definitely be back.

This spot was right around the corner from where my coworker and I had been, so it worked out perfectly. It's a sit-down restaurant, not order at the counter but it all works out. We tried their dip trio, one with hummus, one beets, and the showstopper, Muhammara which consists of roasted red pepper, pomegranate molasses, onions, garlic, and walnuts. I could subsist on this and this alone. For my entree I ended up with the Mediterranean platter (hummus, basmati rice, tabbouleh salad, vegetables, chicken, and pita) that was very tasty. I do wish I had tried their fried cauliflower after talking to some locals, but the chicken was good as well. Good service, nice atmosphere, and simply a great spot.
