I really, really, really want to like & give this hotel a better rating but I digress and want to give an honest review. The bad: We arrived on a Monday evening and the concierge told us we were the last ones to check in. She was super nice and welcoming. Check-in was quick and she just had to get me to initial some items. We got our room key and our room number. When we got to our room, it was a nightmare. The door was already cracked open and when we entered, the beds & bathroom were a complete disgusting mess. It was almost like it was some sick joke. We immediately went back down to concierge with all of our luggage and notified them of the room not being ready for us. There was a bit of a panic because she wasn't sure if there were any more rooms available because they were pretty much all booked up. Luckily, there were 3 rooms still available. The lady was apologetic and offered us coffee or tea - this was at 9:00pm. Flash forward to check-out, when we checked out at 10:30am, I asked one of the workers if we could have more coffee and they said it was only for breakfast. So, I was confused. Also, due to Covid, the grab & go breakfast was really underwhelming: cheese stick, apples & peanut better, a pastry, hard-boiled eggs. Even somewhere like Embassy Suites (during Covid) has actual frozen breakfast sandwiches you can heat up in the microwave. The good: I am glad that they were able to accommodate us with a clean and bigger room. They didn't charge us extra either. I just wish they would've gone the extra mile and rewarded us with an extra night or credit towards our next stay. The last thing your guests want to see after a long day of traveling is an open door with a messy room. The room & bathroom are chic, very modern and clean looking. They provide high quality shampoo, shower gel, and soap. The location is great and walking distance to almost anything. The concierge and custodians are nice. The bottom line: It's a swanky hotel with a lot of kinks to work out. Yes, Covid plays a part but it's pretty obvious that it's a new hotel needing some basic foundations to keep everyone on the same page. read more

My family traveled from Phoenix Arizona to visit family in Oregon. We decided to visit Seaside for a few days to enjoy the ocean and some relaxation. From the moment we entered the hotel, WOW! The property is breathtaking as the detailed modern architecture will immediately captivate your soul. The entire first floor is nothing but amenities. The rooms are beautifully designed with lots of space. The property is very close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Certainly within walking distance. Aimee made the entire experience even better. I've traveled a lot on my lifetime and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Aimee made this the best hotel stay experience we have ever had. She was bursting with energy, humor, and was very helpful with everything we needed. She made checkin a breeze and was there to help with any and all questions we had. Someone needs to promote this lady and give her a pay raise immediately! Saltline is a must stay if you visit Seaside! read more

We got to stay before the grand opening scheduled for the 4th. So glad we stumbled upon this place. It's brand new and still has that new hotel smell! Awesome location close to the beach and downtown Seaside. They are pet friendly too, we even got a little care package for the dog when we checked in. Customer service was great too. Friendly front desk staff. The big problem: we could hear the person in the next room snore THE ENTIRE NIGHT, like they were almost in our room. I am not exaggerating. The person promptly fell asleep by 9:30 and slept til at least 7:30. Rhythmically snoring throughout the night. Then, the guests checking in above us did so at 10 pm and stomped around like elephants. They dropped things and bumped around a lot and at one point, no joke, it sounded like they were sawing something. Thank goodness they went to bed by 11:20. THIN WALLS, thin ceilings/floors. Very little sound insulation. Other than that, it seemed like a clean, typical hotel room. read more

I'm giving the SaltLine a two star rating for the poor customer service only. The hotel is beautiful and the room was perfect! The breakfast offered (to go) was good and The person serving in the breakfast area was AMAZING! I think his name is Esteban? The outdoor seating area was awesome and perfect for relaxing and the girls enjoyed the pool! Here is the part that really makes the experience a bad one. The check in with the front desk lady was AWFUL. My sister and I took my niece and friend to Seaside for a night and reserved a room at the Saltline the new hotel in Seaside and we were super excited to be getting away! We arrived Friday evening about 530PM and the following describes our check in encounter with the woman at the front desk. My sister and I approach the front desk and instead of being greeted she says, "I need your name , ID and credit card" (Well HELLO to you) My sister gives her name and everything else . And asks if we can reserve the pool that evening? her response is "NO it is full" sister says "oh ok" front desk person says "there are 64 guests and we only have 24 spots" my sister asks can we reserve for tomorrow? Front desk person "NO " then goes on to say we need to call on morning and reservations are taken at 8AM. My sister asks if we can have a rollaway bed? Front desk person replies,"NO we don't have those." Sister, "oh I thought you did" front desk person, "no we never have." I then ask, if a continental breakfast is served? Front desk person replies, "NO we don't offer" I must have a look of confusion on face and she states that breakfast is a "to go box". Then I ask as we are about to head up if we just dial zero in morning to reserve pool? and her answer is: "NO" you need to dial the front desk button on phone. (Good to know!) Honestly this encounter involves way to many "no's". Hospitality is about being polite and customer service oriented and if she had avoided all of the no's then I wouldn't be writing this review. That was a horrible experience especially for a new hotel that isn't cheap. First impressions set the tone. read more

Great service! Went over a holiday weekend when they were super busy. However you would have never known. We asked for an early check in, to be in the top floor and for a late check out, and all of our requests were met. They had fresh baked cookies and plenty of towels at the pool. I had an amazing experience at this hotel. Even though we just stayed one night, we absolutely loved it. It's a pretty new hotel, very clean and well taken care of. It's very beautiful inside as well. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The only sad part about our stay was the hot tub wasn't working well, but they had a sign that said they were waiting on some parts for it. Other than that issue, we would stay here again. read more

They just recently opened! The receptionist was really welcoming. The place was cozy and clean. Due to Covid they require face mask and they even have social distancing. They have hand sanitizer ready for everyone to use. When we enter the room you can still smell a little of the fresh paint but it will gradually go away once you open the balcony door (we rented king with balcony). The room was kept clean. We will explore more of the amenities of the hotel. Also, the receptionist told us that the owner of this hotel is the same of Inn at Seaside (one of our favorite places to stay too). I recommend to check in here if you ever go to seaside. read more

The new Saltline in Seaside delivers. Comfy rooms, excellent friendly staff and only a block from the beach. It's our new spot on the north coast. One bad part, hot tub was broken and they never mentioned it at booking or check in or when we got robes. Wasn't until we jumped in that we got this surprise. When I told the front desk it was broken it was clear they knew and just never told guests or put up a sign... kinda weird. read more

We couldn't have had a better stay than this, we were traveling for our honeymoon and we're able to get the executive suit on very short notice, the front desk assistant was incredible-THANK YOU TOBY!!! He was friendly, funny, and helpful. We actually even ended up having a conversation with someone at breakfast about it, and she was the one who mentioned it! Nick was also super helpful, he went above and beyond when I woke up in pain this morning(my body not a problem with the hotel) and was able to get me some Advil ASAP!!! We had an tasty continental breakfast, we had a lot of options and the waffles and yogurt were amazing!! All of the gravy, eggs, and bacon were hot! Bagels, toast, muffins...cereal, fruit, juice, almond milk even!! Plus the woman who was running the breakfast area, Sandra, was prompt, friendly to us and everyone in the room, she was quick to refill areas and help anyone out if they needed it, and she made our morning really enjoyable!!! We're not used to great customer experience in all honesty and every single employee in this hotel was absolutely wonderful!! I didn't even mention that it was clean and fresh, the linens were soft, the shampoo and conditioner smelled natural and refreshing. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone because it was top notch, AND it's dog friendly!!!! Thank you all you helped start our honeymoon off so perfectly!! read more

Trash! Poor customer service and horrendous ethical issues. Motel 6 might have a better overall experience. First "pool is open" means 30 minute time slots which just isn't enough when you have kids. And the post Malone desk agent starting his life over is a jerk. We were more than hospitable and he was just a jerk. Also pet friendly hotel with no space for your pet other than an 8x8 gravel pit. We had never been to Seaside before. This hotel looked nearly perfect online and in person. The hotel staff were so kind and very accommodating. The rooms were pretty clean and the beds were very comfortable. One of the things I truly appreciate when I go to a hotel is the coffee. There is a pod coffee machine in the room. I did not try the pods that were in the room. I had the coffee that was in the lobby. I thought that this hotel would have had wonderful coffee in the lobby. This was not the case. The coffee was the worst I have ever had. Instead of trying the in room pods they left I just bought what I know is good. In the lobby they had bags of taffy. There was a sign that said the money goes to a non-profit. We bought a bag and it was delicious. What was odd is that the hotel staff had no clue what non-profit the money goes to. I love knowing who I am helping. The bag was $4. we gave her a $5. The hotel clerk asked if we wanted our dollar back. I thought this was an odd question especially since no one knew where the money was even going. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite that was really nice with a balcony. They had laundry room that worked with an app (csc pay) which alerts you when your laundry is done. The gym was small but different in that the treadmill was wooden and manual. They had a wooden and leather bike, the weights were leather and there was a cable pully. Very cool and trendy. read more

Booked this hotel based on the photos, what a mistake. This is a glorified motel 6. The lobby is super trendy but other than that the hotel is not that good. The rooms reek of perfume, it's like sleeping in an Abercrombie and Fitch store. The bathroom was not clean, then there's the extremely thin walls, drafty rooms, poor hotel staff, the list goes on and on. We had a room partying till 12:30 am and music bumping, that I thought was above us, I called the staff at 11:15pm and let them know so they could have the guests turn it down, it kept going so I called again at 12:30am, the front desk said there was no one above us but there was someone below us and they would take care of it, WTF? Why didn't they take care of it when I called an hour earlier?? I would recommend staying somewhere else, that is unless you prefer the aforementioned. read more

Was lucky enough to get a last minute room here over Labor Day weekend. Nice place, looks new. Centrally located, so you can walk to the beach and shops. The rooms were quite small and cramped especially for as much as you spend to stay here. It is in a great location with a quick walk to the aquarium and to the boardwalk as well the shopping and best restaurants. Staff seemed friendly while we were there however after we got home we realized we forgot a very expensive nightlight/sound machine my son needs to help him sleep. We immediately called and asked if it was turned in and they said no. We asked if they could look in the room or in the laundry to see if it could be located and was told it wasn't. If this was just a small night lite I would just take them for their word. But this is a larger desk top style they weighs a pound or two. So obviously someone kept themselves a very nice night lite and hope they enjoy it. read more

This is a very nice midrange hotel in a great location. It is within a few minutes walk of tons of restaurants and shops. It is two blocks from the aquarium and ocean beach. The public areas and rooms were clean and new. The saltwater pool is large and warm, so the kids loved it. The morning breakfast was self-service, with a a good selection of light fare. Parking was easy and the staff were friendly. It was a little more expensive than other hotels in the area, but worth it. We will select it again when back in Seaside. read more

Usually use a different hotel in Seaside but saw this new hotel online and made a reservation. Totally regret it. This 2 stars is not a 1 because we realize this is a new hotel and things need to be reworked I'm sure. This review is a suggestion to the hotel that if you need much better storage in the rooms. Very little room to store clothes for 1 person much less too. I would suggest more shelving instead of a useless bench. Also under bed easy fix would be bins on rollers. In addition to that for this let friendly hotel. Is to isolate what floors guests with pets can stay on so other guests may stay that may have pet alergies. Ozone the rooms that have had previous pets. My wife had a terrible time even with alergy medication. Which at other hotel their let floor is laminate flooring not carpet. Lastly, we had a guest in room above us that stomped around and I'm assuming cuz it sounded like their pet was running around constantly. This made it impossible to sleep well as well and alerted staff to this but they didn't need to take it seriously because they continued to stomp around for hours into the night. We do not recommend this place unless things have been upgraded or our concerns taken seriously about storage and pets! If you like a loud hotel, with little storage and not suited for those with pet alergies, have at it! read more

Beautiful facility. Do wish it had a view - when I'm lazy and do not want to walk the "whole two blocks" to the prom LOL. Staff was great, amenities are top notch. This is a newer hotel in Seaside, Oregon. They are about a block from the promenade and the beach. The shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The decor is minimalist with an Eastern vibe. The inside area (which I assume will eventually be the breakfast area) is sectioned off by a wall of 2x4s in an attractive design. The fencing around the property is 2x6's and the enclosed areas for dining, drinking, and even the pet area, are rock and small plants. There are a couple of fire pits with seating for a laid back area to visit. The pool, hot tub, and gym are available in 30 minute, reserved time slots due to the current COVID19 situation. The area is wiped down after each group leaves. The room we had was very nice. A king-sized bed on a wooden platform. The bathroom was very nicely done with tile and ceramic fixtures. My only negative was the closet-there isn't one! There is an area with a small bench, a chrome rack with bathrobes (nice for using the pool) and a few hangers. A room this size could have accommodated an actual closet. The TV was a nice size, wall-mounted Samsung. No channel listing was provided and there were very limited channels available. They are pet friendly. We brought our dog and she received a very nice pet welcome package. All in all, I am very pleased with Saltline and, if I head back to Seaside, I will certainly look to stay there again. Also, a lovely young woman named Heather was working the lobby during our stay. She remembered our names and our dog's name and greeted us each time we came through the lobby. Thanks, Heather!! As with anything new, there are a few small bugs to work out. I had the best experience at this hotel. The front desk lady Aimee needs to get a raise ASAP. She was more than helpful and made my 21st birthday even more special.
