The entree's list of ingredients mentions hashbrowns, but my meal didn't have it :(
    Quinn N.

+ The Huevos Rancheros was deeelectable. - However, portion size was small; - A lil exorbitant. This $19 meal left me famished still. - Their software teased a 20%-off offer before actually granting it. Maybe you can manage to redeem it in time for your 1st order. - Confusing online ordering platform. The Huevos Rancheros ingredient list includes hashbrowns. Turns out it's one of the side options, not readily included in the main entree. It seems that by choosing fruit, the hashbrowns were excluded from the meal. :/ . A bit crowded, both seating and parking. + Polite, efficient, helpful service. + Pleasant ambience. - Burrito was a bit bland and dry. Needed plenty sauce & drink to flush it down bite by bite. + Also crunchy and yummy though. I had: $17 breakfast burrito + $19 huevos rancheros + a whopping 12.75% tax&fees = $40.59

    Lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes- amazing

Wow! What beautiful plates of food and amazing taste. Came here for breakfast today and what a great experience. We ordered a cappuccino, salmon toast and lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. The plates themselves are beautifully made. Vibrant colors and delicious flavors. Everything we saw being served looked amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Food was served quickly and hot. Not one thing was wrong or missing. Everything very clean and super clean restrooms. Highly recommend this location. A highlight to our morning.

Had such a nice breakfast at Poached Kitchen in Irvine with my aunt! I ordered the fried green tomato BLTA with a side salad, and it was fantastic. Fair warning though -- I got a little too excited and bit into it too early, and it definitely burned my mouth, so give it a minute to cool down! Totally worth the wait. I chose the side salad because fries or fruit in the morning probably would have put me straight to sleep during my drive up to Palmdale for a client meeting, and it ended up being the perfect choice. My aunt ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was rightfully massive -- definitely a hearty breakfast. The service was quick and efficient. It's the kind of place where you order at the counter, get a number, and they bring the food to your table, which made everything easy. I can imagine they get really busy on weekends. Best part? I loved my sandwich so much that I happily ate the second half for lunch later. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

This is a great spot! We were welcomed right when we walked in. The place is nice and bright with big windows, high ceilings and open seating. You order your food and then find your seat. There were so many yummy sounding items that it was tough to decide what to order. I'm not a traditional pancake person but they had a tropical one that sounded amazing. And I really want to try their chicken sandwich and breakfast burritos. I ended up getting the churro waffles with a side of the mango that went on those tropical pancakes and it was so dang good! We also ordered Birria Short Rib Eggs Benedict - with perfectly flavored meat and the best poached eggs on top, a macadamia nut milk latte - loved it so much, and a delicious Bloody Mary. The service was great, the place is nice, neat, and clean throughout, and we can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Need a place for breakfast in an infrequently travelled area. So onto Yelp and found this gem. Decent sized place, indoor & outdoor seating & busy. Always a good sign. Lotsa parking & wait wasn't too long - prob helped we weren't picky about seating location. Name called, in line to order and told where to sit. Surprisingly food came quickly despite the large numbers of diners. For me the Mango Curd French Toast. 2 slices of Texas toast, well battered & smothered in mango curd sauce & fresh fruit accompanied with maple syrup. Excellent taste. For my companion the Short Rib Omelet - onion, peppers, mushrooms & tomatoes mixed with the rib and gravy. Meat was tender, but lacking salt it was still delicious. Huge recommendation for this one!

We got there around 10 AM on Saturday and waited about 30 minutes to get a table. All the staff were friendly. You need to order at the register first, then they will assign you a table. I was happy to see they have a fun seasonal menu, like the mango French toast. I opted for something healthy and ordered the Asian salad with avocado. My group ordered the chilaquiles and the Benedicts. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed my mocha with oat milk. One note: we sat on their patio, and the fence was covered in spider webs. The tables are placed right next to it, so eating beside spider webs was very uncomfortable, to say the least. At one point, a spider even climbed onto my friend's pants. I hope management does better at cleaning their patio.

The system here is a little unconventional. You have to order before you sit down. Since it was my first visit and I hadn't seen the menu yet, I felt a bit rushed. That said, the food definitely beats the competition. We got the Birria Benedict and the breakfast burrito, and both were great. The Birria was a little on the salty side, but that didn't stop me. Also, the latte was fantastic. It's worth the stop, just do yourself a favor and look at the menu before they let you in the building!

I was in the mood for a basic breakfast as in eggs, bacon, and potatoes and some pancakes and this place definitely delivered!! Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon nice and crispy and the potatoes were delicious! A pretty good size portion too, we shard this dish and the ricotta pancakes are a must have you get 3 with an order they are so fluffy and the generous scoop of ricotta topping on top was the chefs kiss!! Service was stellar, everyone was super kind and the tables were cleaned quickly and efficiently. They have so many items on their menu I will definitely be back!!

This is a counter to table service restaurant where you order first, get a table number, and they deliver your food. There was only one register but once the line got long, another person came to take our order which was nice. My husband and I shared our meals (I liked my order better haha) but I got the Fried Green Tomato BTLA because I was craving a sandwich. I love the idea of fried green tomato on a sandwich! It was a pretty filling sandwich and came with fries as well so I was really full after eating this. It's a seasonal item for their spring 2026, super delicious! It comes on a sourdough bread with remoulade sauce, lettuce, fried green tomato, bacon, avocado. My husband got the chicken a waffles. What we really enjoyed about this dish was the fact that the chicken was not greasy! Waffles were okay, not soft but more on the crispier side. But besides that it was tasty especially with the pork gravy. My husband also got an iced matcha half sweet, I'm not sure if half sweet ment less matcha but I did not like it at all. I think it's because he ordered it with matcha with oat milk but it just tasted like oatmilk and ice... but my husband still drank it all, I would probably try a coffee/espresso drink next time! Although it was crowded there were a lot of seats indoors and outdoors! We sat outside which was really nice, they were umbrellas but the sun felt good too. Nice place to have breakfast!

This has to be my FAV breakfast spot. Steak and eggs is just absolutely tasty. They make great cappuccinos as well. There's usually a line but definitely worth the wait.

This place is always packed on weekend mornings--there's almost always a line. We were lucky to grab a corner bar seat after about a 15-minute wait. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, and both came out perfectly crispy. Not many spots manage to get waffles truly crunchy, so that was a big plus. I chose the cinnamon sugar waffle thinking the flavor would be baked into the waffle itself, but it actually came from the butter, which felt a little odd--basically an extra dollar just for flavored butter. Was happy that they have Lavender Latte. It was delicious. Overall the experience was nice. The space is modern and roomy, and I like the setup where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you--definitely my kind of spot.

I got their short rib omelette and it was pretty good! I'm usually very particular about omelette because many that I have tried they put too much oil and the egg becomes hard and greasy. However, their omelette was very soft and fluffy. The short rib inside was also very tender. I would definitely come back for this dish. The hash browns was ok. A bit plain but they have salt on the side for you to add. The service was fast. Waited about 10 min. Getting a seat took a bit longer, maybe 30 min. The inside was pretty casual. There's seats inside and outside. Parking was easy to find since it's at a big plaza.

Great brunch spot. They are open till 2pm. The smash burger patty was not really "smashed" and the outside crust wasn't very crispy. But the flavor of the burger was great, juicy. The Dubai chocolate waffle was great! Wish there was a bit more pistachio flavor, didn't think it needed the extra syrup. Otherwise solid spot, the servers were a bit rude but overall great place.

    Do they serve alcohol?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out! Mimosas are on our menu, but availability may vary by location. Please contact our Irvine branch directly to confirm they are serving them today. Enjoy your day!

Do you serve breakfast all day till 2pm/closing time?

Yes, we do! We serve delicious brunch and breakfast meals until closing!

Do they not have an actual phone number that works? I keep getting a crappy automated answering machine that redirects you to email.

Hi there we don’t take phone calls during business hours please reach out to us at hello@poachedkitchen.com

    Does poached deliver?

Currently we do not but hoping to launch soon.

Can I make a reservation for 3 today online the minimum of people is 6?

Goodmorning unfortunately our reservations platform is for large parties 6 or more at the moment.

How is parking? Is there parking at the location? is there a fee to park? also, since you dont take reservations how would you fit a party of 20? i tried calling and emailing but still no answer after 3 emails.

Parking is very good, I had no problem parking on a very busy day. There is no fee for parking. Could fit 20, placing several tables together. I am sure the restaurant manager would accommodate if asked early on. The food (breakfast) is outstanding!

Do you have gluten free bread?

Not yet we’re working on it thought thank you for asking

Are breakfast dishes (like Benedict and omelette) served at lunch time (after 12pm)?

Yes brunch menu served till closing

Can you add protein to the chilaauiles? If so, what options are available?

yes they have really good protein options for chilaquiles. Steak, marys organic chicken breast, short rib, chorizo, pork verde

    Is your food all organic?

No. I didn't find any organic items.

What gluten free options do you have? Also, do you have any gluten free bread items (toast, pancakes, etc)?

No, they sadly do not have GF items like that. I just inquired over the phone.

Is there any non dairy milk options for lattes?

    Yes

Is the entire menu available all day?

Yes until 2pm. They close at that time .

Do the chicken in the chicken and waffles have bones in them?

    No it does not

What vegan options do you offer? I see "v"next to the "omelet greque". Is it made with a vegan egg substitute?

The "V" (menu above cashier in store has a "VG") is for vegetarian options, not vegan.

Are dogs allowed if they have outside dining?

Yes I believe you can keep your dog outside since you pick your own seating

Do we need to do a reservation?

No this place is pretty casual. First come first serve after you order at the counter they will gave you a number and from there you can grab a table if available.

What is the average wait time on a weekend?

    15-45 min

    Is there indoor dining?

Yes they are allowed to dine in inside.

I either order The Cut (yes, the $40 burger and fries) or I make my own bleu cheese burger depending on my mood. I'll cut to the chase: is the $40 burger worth it? If you've got $40 to spare and you like burgers, I think it's definitely worth it. I mean, I've had it probably three or four times now, and I'm not some kind of moron who likes setting money on fire (I hope), so it must be good, right? What's unique about it? Basically everything, but obviously the patty of meat is the star of the show, with a unique taste and texture that makes it stand out from a normal ground beef patty, and the cheese is no slouch either. The only negative is that my wife bullies me into ordering it so she can steal a few bites. The regular fries and sweet potato fries are also great. My wife got a steak with her caesar salad one time, and that was delicious too. We usually have the same waiter since we come around the same time/day every time, and he's always great. They also always have a great selection of beers on tap, today they had three different West Coast IPAs and I felt like a kid in a candy store... yum! Normally when writing a review I can come up with some sort of complaint to balance things out, but not really in this case. I mean, I could whine that the burger is $40, but no one is forcing me to buy it (except for my wife). All in all, I think this is one of the best places in Irvine to have a pint of beer and a good meal.

As I observed throughout the evening, very few people were dancing during the DJ set. Most guests remained seated, looking uncertain about the change. In addition, some of the music selections and volume level felt inappropriate for a venue that attracts so many families with young children. I noticed several children covering their ears, and many parents appeared uncomfortable. From my perspective, Hangar 24's customer base is largely made up of families. Those families purchase food, drinks, and often stay for several hours while their children enjoy the outdoor space. By scheduling the live band later in the evening, many parents are forced to leave before the performance begins because their children are tired or it is simply too late for a family outing. If the goal is to attract a younger nightlife crowd, a better approach might be to have the live band perform earlier in the evening when families are present and then transition to a DJ later at night for guests who prefer that atmosphere. This would allow both audiences to enjoy the venue without alienating the families who have supported Hangar 24 for years. I am sharing this feedback because I genuinely enjoy coming to Hangar 24 and want to see it continue to succeed. I believe many guests share these concerns, and I hope management will carefully consider how these changes may impact the loyal family customer base that has helped make Hangar 24 such a popular destination. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, A Concerned Customer

I came across the Terrace, located near the university, which featured a lovely patio and scenic views overlooking the golf course. When we arrived around two in the afternoon, the restaurant was nearly empty. The interior was stylish, but I preferred sitting outside to enjoy the view. A large group of golfers was having lunch nearby. Since it wasn't crowded, our server easily arranged a table for seven. One downside was a man who continued to smoke on the patio despite being told it wasn't allowed, though fortunately, he didn't smoke the entire time. My man and I shared a Mexican Mango Mule, which was especially refreshing after the lengthy ceremony. We sampled several dishes--calamari, chicken wings and fries, beef tacos, and chicken tacos--in order of preference, from most favorite to least (though none were bad, just varying in appeal). The kids enjoyed a bowl of Bolognese and seemed satisfied. To top it off, the staff surprised me with a complimentary brownie and ice cream to celebrate my graduation. The service was excellent, the venue was perfect for lunch, and the food was delicious!

The 5-star friendly, professional, and attentive-yet-unrushed service from Cassandra and (on our return visit) bartender, Drew certainly added to making our experiences very enjoyable. Fun-and-fabulous find!

Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the various dishes and provided good variety of recommendations. The table started with a white truffle garlic bread dish and it was delicious!! This summer they are offering a summer selection menu of a small plate and entree for $25. I opted for the arancini and roasted salmon (extra $5). Everything was very yummy and I would order it again. The arancini had good depth of cheese. The one thing that was slightly annoying was the arancini would not hold shape when dipped in the sauce on the side.

I expected it to be crowded as usual and that parking would be insane. Fortunately, and surprisingly, there was plenty of parking. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a hostess. When I observed the dining area of the restaurant, it was approximately thirty percent full. The bar contained about the same amount of occupants. We waited two minutes and the hostess took us to our table. Once we were seated, our server immediately came to our table to greet us and take our beverage order. When she came back with our waters, we both ordered the parmesean chicken sandwich. Our orders arrived and I realized I made a huge mistake as I didn't read what was included in the sandwich. I don't eat pork and prosciutto is included. I apologized to our server and told her about my error. She said it would not be an issue at all to make me a new sandwich without the prosciutto. Once my sandwich arrived, I dove in, and it was good! I wish the chicken was a little meatier and juicy, though. I also didn't really taste too much of the mozzarella and provolone. I love that melted cheese you get with the bite, but it sort of was lacking. The sauces were prevalent and tasty. It wasn't the best I've had, but still good, nonetheless. I had a side of salad and it was just a regular mixed green salad. The service was fantastic! Our server was extremely attentive and friendly. I didn't catch her name, but she had her long, blondish-brown hair in a ponytail braid. I love the ambiance with how open, bright, and airy it feels. Here's the breakdown: Food - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 I would definitely recommend this place for drinks and appetizers with a really nice ambiance and great service!

I have yet to experience a dull meal here and have been pretty pleased with the attentiveness of their staff. It's come to be a regular brunch option in Irvine that doesn't disappoint when it comes to flavor and ambiance. When you're coming during peak times like weekend breakfast/brunch expect to wait in a line to order - maybe send someone in your party to grab a table outside (there's plenty in front) or at various inside seating as it's order and self-seat.

The double strawberry wasn't too sweet but didn't go very well with the espresso in it. My honey oat latte was decent. The Italian spritzer was questionable. The French onion soup was delicious. I would definitely get this again. While the turkey sandwich was presentable and ingredients tasted fresh, I really didn't like the structure of the sandwich. All the proportions were strange. The avocado and turkey were squeezing out constantly and the tomatoes were falling off the edge. The focaccia bread was fine but not the best vessel for this sandwich. I don't think much thought was put into the experience of eating versus just the presentation was considered. The breakfast burrito was good but only had 6 tots which was kind of sad looking. Something was truly wrong with the brussel sprouts. It wasn't fresh. I'm sure they overdid the balsamic to cover this up. It was also muggy inside with flies flying everywhere. It was hard to enjoy eating while sweating on the velvet furniture. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie and the maple oatmeal sandwich cookie. I wouldn't get either again. I don't know if I'll come back anytime soon but perhaps will give this place another try someday. Edit: changed from 2 stars to 1. Those brussel sprouts were definitely spoiled. That's disgusting to serve to customers.
