This place is an absolute gem in the LES. Being a former fan of the original, I was glad to see one right in my own neighborhood.I stopped going to the Church Street location due to some of the employees be8ng less than cordial to people of color. This is not the case at Saluggi's East. Every staff member on my visits has been friendly and hospitable. I've tried regular pies and their late night slices, both decent with nods to their signature style. It seems the slices are not made from the larger pies, but they are still a tasty option.

The Grand Pub Cheeseburger with a side House Salad instead of fries

This is a local neighborhood place that I never got food from before but was craving a simple burger. I got the Grand pub burger with cheddar cheese, medium. I was not disappointed, the patty had a pleasant flavor and was moist, I could have used more cheese. The house salad with balsamic vinegarrette was lightly topped with Parmesan cheese and was a light and refreshing accompaniment to the burger. I got this to go and picked it up. I would come back to eat in and try one of their many pizzas!

Didn't get anything to eat during this first visit to this place. I did have a great experience and enjoyed visiting with Carlos the bartender on duty. Real good guy! When I return to NYC I will be sure to stop by again and will plan on eating next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Feels like a really comfortable local spot and there were plenty of baseball fans yelling at the TV.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sat outside and just did some people watching.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once again, Carlos was fantastic and went out his way to introduce himself and share a handshake. Nice touch!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I always come back here when I want good pizza and a cozy atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was here recently and enjoyed friendly service even though the one server was slammed. I really enjoyed the hot pizza and unique beers on tap. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would definitely come here to watch a sports game and hang out with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Been a while since I have came here - and recently stopped by. Thursday night - packed!! It looked like a neighborhood hot spot and absolutely well deserved. The patrons were all friendly. Decor, service and bathrooms were all excellent. Food was also solid. Ordered a small pizza to try out and the thin crusted custom option was very nice. It was very well done. Star of the menu show for me was the caesar salad. The lettuce had a nice fresh crunch and they topped it off with anchovies (which is quite rare unless maybe at high end restaurant.). However, I want to mention that I normally do not care for croutons, just brush them off to the side. At this place, I had them all. They were seasoned sooo well. For a weekday this was a packed house!

Great local tavern on the Lower East Side. Great happy hour drinks and prices. I didn't try the food but the service drinks and ambience hits the spot. I'll come back for the food next time! Give them a try.

I've passed by multiple times in the past. Never had a chance to go in till now. We were all hungry and was in a rush to get back for lunch. Decided to try takeout first and ordered a large red pizza pie and a house salad with grilled chicken. I think they make their pies super fast as I picked up much later than anticipated - 30 minute from initial call and the pie was lukewarm on the bottom of the box. By the time i got home, it was disappointly cold. But i think if i had it fresh or earlier, it would have been quite yummy. The house salad was a knockout. The grilled chicken was sublime. So surprising and very satisfying. Greens were fresh and John, the guy who took my order, was so pleasant to deal with. Looking forward to dining in next time!

Salami, pepperoni and bacon pizza pals! Meat-lovers, for sure!

This intimate pizza restaurant has great, powerful and tasty alcoholic drinks (definitely try the Froze, pronounced "phro-zay"), very attentive and present waiters and a huge variety of great-tasting brick oven pizzas; they even allow you to "build-your-own-pizza" in case you can't find a selection upon their menu! The pizzas DO run quite expensive...but you are guaranteed to be full after you are done digging in. The low-lit, all-around welcome atmosphere is perfect for dating and the outdoor seating is even better for people-watching as you dine. My longtime German friend, Felix, took me here for my first time. He said, "This place is perfect for those that are especially into brick over pizzas." He wasn't lying.

Step into the new 3 Monkeys, a tri-level playground of grit and glamour -- exposed brick that looks…read morelike it survived Prohibition, tin and copper ceiling tiles that wink under amber mood lighting, and a wooden bar polished by a thousand high-fives. Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Delaney's drinks are personality-packed, with her behind the bar, the place doesn't just serve drinks -- it gets its personality back. It's a place off 8th ave where fitness meets fun, and every corner feels like home--complete with friendly staff who know your name (or at least your size) and are always ready to offer a witty comeback or a perfect recommendation. Cheers!

Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward!

I showed up an hour and a half early before the event I went to "started", got a seat at the short (Ada compliant) bar and settled in to grab a drink or two before everything started. It took 45 mins for someone (2 people were working) to actually make it down to our side on the bar, everyone I was sitting with, including the tables, wanted to order. The girls next to me said they got there 15 mins before me. If I wasn't here specifically to watch a show with other people in my community I would have left. An hour for a drink!?!?! I took it on the chin and just ordered 2 drinks, which was great because an hour and a half (we ordered the second time after the show started) later they finally came back. The restaurant sits on the corner in a striking building, giving it lots of energy. Inside, there are TVs everywhere, making it easy to catch the game from almost any seat. As kickoff got closer, the place filled up with soccer fans, creating a fun match-day atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating with TVs, so you don't have to miss any of the action if you prefer eating outside. The best surprise? They have a dog menu! Before my humans even ordered, the staff brought me a fresh bowl of water. I ordered the Salmon & Rice Bowl, and I cleaned my plate without leaving a single grain of rice behind. The humans shared a pitcher of sangria while cheering on the match. Mom ordered Judy's Corn appetizer, which was full of flavor and disappeared quickly, while Dad went with the classic chicken tenders and fries. Between the friendly staff, the lively sports atmosphere, and how welcome they made me feel, Judy Z's is an easy recommendation whether you're stopping by for brunch, happy hour, or to catch a big game. Dogba's Verdict If your humans love sports bars but hate leaving you at home, Judy Z's solves that problem.
