Service: He came out to my car to get my laptop, but instead of just looking at it there to give the quote, he asked me to give him 10-15 minutes and he took it inside. He came back in less than 5 minutes and told me the quote, handing me my laptop OPEN rather than closed. As he walked away, I tried to close it and found that I couldn't, as some part was sticking out. I called after him and told him I couldn't close it. He took it and tried, then said, "Let me go use my tools" and he took the laptop back inside. He came back in a minute or two with it closed, and I thanked him and drove off. When I got home, I saw that my laptop could open and close, but the thing itself was completely broken. It wouldn't turn on AT ALL. By playing with the hardware, he had completely damaged it so that it would no longer work.

I'm so pissed at my self cause I should've known this would happen. I got a quote through yelp. And I get there and the guy asked "did you get a quote" and I said yeah it's for an iPhone 13 Pro Max and so he comes back with a $160 price and I say, I was quoted 99-129 for my model phone. So he says he'll have to call his boss to get it cleared. None of this would matter if the phone worked. But now my eyes hurt from this super bright screen. I'm turning every app into night mode that can. My cellphone brightness is on lowest setting. The guy even made up excuses on why he was charging more like it was a newer better screen from before and they haven't updated the new price. I didn't want to hear it. And the whole "pay in cash." SMH If you have time to do research, go somewhere else. I blame myself for not walking out when things seemed shady. I was better off with the cracked screen. **** Update**** So I get a call from Ben. My screen is probably defective. He wants me to bring it in to run a diagnostic and see if anything is wrong and replace it and offers a refund. Tells me to take down my review. Who would want or trust a defective product. If I got a lemon then I don't want another lemon that passes a diagnostic only to fail me after a 3 month warranty. I texted him informing him it still wasn't holding charge and he offered to take the device for a few days, but by then I no longer felt comfortable handing it over, as if all felt shady. The whole process felt unprofessional from start to finish. And to top it off, I was charged $103 for a repair that clearly wasn't completed. Hung had a clipboard with a sheet ready to fill in all my personal information and I delighted in the cute plants, pop culture toys, and fun selection of interesting Magazines laid out for us to enjoy. Hung modeled an energetically welcoming and helpful attitude that put me instantly at ease, and informed me he would reach out and let me know what the problem with my Chromebook was once it was officially diagnosed.
