    Biscuits and gravy

The restaurant is small inside, definitely gets packed. they also have a few picnic style tables outside and parking lot is also very small. Loved that my friend and I were greeted as soon as we walked in. The menu is huge. Lots of options and prices are reasonable. The service was really nice from start to finish. I came with a friend for breakfast and tried the biscuits and gravy and a side of pancakes. My friend & I absolutely did not like the biscuits and gravy. Put it this way, I want to call the cops on whoever's recipe that is. It was terrible, we didn't eat it. As the server offered a box, I kindly said "No Thank you" and told her they weren't good. She took them away and was nice to take them off the tab. The pancakes were basic but good. I'd like to try some of the other stuff on the menu in the future.

We stayed in Santa Rosa for a quick little weekend trip and the hotel owner mentioned Sam's for a great breakfast place. Got here close to noon. Therefore it was time for a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. We got both! We chose the cranberry mimosa over the usual orange juice. Really refreshing! I had the Denver omelette with country potatoes and my boyfriend had the gravy and sausage with bacon on the side. Delicious all the way around! The biggest surprise was the salsa. Probably some of the best salsa I've ever had at a restaurant. Molly, our server was super busy and was so quick to get our food and drinks out to us. She's totally fun and kind. There's seating outside! Yay! That was another lovely surprise. The process are a little steep when you order drinks but was worth it!

I've been to Sam's for as long as I can remember. It's always been an affordable family breakfast spot that has really good food. I normally get their huevos rancheros or their waffle however this time I got the French toast and it did not disappoint. The servers here are always friendly and accommodating. They always make sure to check on you and ask if anything else is needed regardless of how busy they are which they literally always are. The spots kind of like going to eat to your grandparents bunch of stores miscellaneous stuff everywhere but it's what gives the home vibe to this cafe. I personally really like it. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Found this little cozy cafe for breakfast. Got an old school, diner feel, lots of posters, nicks n knacks, momentos on the walls and just give you days gone by vibes. Huge breakfast menu from combos to omelette to any sides you could possible want. For lunch, they also serve burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups. The service was beyond friendly! Greeted immediately when we walked in, seated quickly and got drinks out. Ordered the griddle combo with buttermilk pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. I also got the Popeyes choice omelette which comes with potatoes and toast. Fresh squeeze OJ. Still got a bit of leftover for lunch. Large portions. Love Sams and wouldn't change a thing about this spot. Keep it up!

Food is consistent, good ole comfort food. Their menu has been the same so it's nice to be able to still order your favorite. I got the California Benedict (poached eggs avocado and tomato with hollandaise) and extra crispy spuds - so delicious. Service is friendly and accommodating. Coffee will get your whole week going lol very strong and very good.

Great good. Good service. Fair prices. Parking was easy and it's nearby most other shopping.

This place is good for morning alcohol with friends. If you need to eat at the outside dining tables there's room on the side

Biscuits and gravy were not very good. They weren't inedible. They were mediocre at best. That is all I can say.

Still thinking about this dish. 5+ stars - Duck bun: single bao like sliced bun with a good portion of duck either hoisin, cucumbers, and sprouts. Wonderful fusion version. 4.75 stars - Poke: fresh large cubes of poke with thin large taro chips. 4.5 stars - Fries: unusually thin and flat versions with a lovely spice combo. 4.25 stars - Cheese curds: legit thin breading with gooey inside which is saying much just coming from Wisconsin the day before. 4.25 stars - Cocktails: quality unique versions. -- Easy rider: coffee bitters bourbon one came in a cool flask-like glass bottle. -- Humming bird: vodka, Aperol, tea, and bubbly was nice. - Wines: lots of great options by the glass, half bottle, or bottle. Some locals I hadn't tried which is fun. - Dining room is open and bright with wood floors, modern type furniture, and art. Also has a small bar where you can see drinks being made as well as a patio outside facing the street. - Waitress: gave us great reccos for ordering in my fave sharing is caring style. Lowlights - Lots of items with mayo for non mayo peeps (in guac and desserts) with some hidden not noted on the menu (poke, duck)

I' was quite familiar though with Starks near Railroad Square and use to frequent that location before Covid came along....anyway I know Bird is popular and I was really looking forward to a nice bar experience and tasty cuisine ...but I will probably not go again. *Atmosphere--the place is somewhat large with two floors and feels and looks non-de script. Very much a business. Noisy, busy, aloof. 3 stars *Cocktails--I didn't have a signature cocktail but instead requested Grey Goose over ice with a twist. The pour was so small; unacceptably small. A thimbleful . Very disappointing. 0 stars. *Food--we ordered the fried chicken and a side of greens. The chicken was good, moist, accompanied by a tasty slaw and pickled veggie bits. 4 stars The greens were okay but mediocre 2+ stars *Service--our server was pretty much going through the motions, perhaps a long day. 2+ stars, The host was pleasant and helpful. 4 stars. *Price--expensive. My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. The ambiance was casual yet intimate, and despite being busy, didn't feel crowded or loud. We also appreciated that the wait staff didn't rush us out!

When I arrived, the process for getting admitted was weird and off putting. Instead of being brought to a table and given a menu, you have to order outside.
