So delicious! The warm cinnamon roll was a tasty bite paired with the homemade raspberry jam, it was light and fluffy and not too cloying or topped with any heavy icing. My country benedict was tasty and hearty, big portion size, perfectly cooked veggies, crispy crunchy hash-browns and runny egg yolk to sop it all up. The chicken fried steak was insane on a buttery biscuit the chicken was not dry at all super juicy and crispy. Great breakfast spot would definitely recommend!

Well in Santa Rosa I decided to try another breakfast spot. Glad I did. This place has the classic café look and parking was fairly easy. I sat at the bar with a great view of the kitchen. I kept it basic and ordered the pancake breakfast with bacon and eggs. The pancakes are made with a homemade recipe that is very delicious. Highly recommend. Bacon and eggs were just as I like them. The owner happened to be there and was very friendly but the star of the show was his staff as they all seem to be in a very good mood and the vibe there was what really gives this place five stars in my opinion. I'll definitely be coming back and trying some new delicious items

I was in town for a few days and I hadn't been here in years so I suggested it to my friend and we went for breakfast on Black Friday. The food was very good, although they put the gravy on top of my eggs instead of on top of my chicken fried steak, which confuses me. Our waitress was pretty scattered and forgot several things. Minus one star.

This little diner has some absolutely amazing food. My wife and I stopped by on a cold January Sunday morning. We were on a waitlist, but a worker asked us if we wanted to sit outside, we noticed they had heat lamps, so decided to take an outdoor table. Our waitress, who was super friendly and helpful, arrived at our table within a few minutes to take our order. After a couple of minutes of conversation our order arrived. I had a veggie omelette and my wife had the corned beef hash. Lets just say few words were spoken after our meals arrived. Everything was fantastic. Even the coffee was delicious. Located just a few minutes away from downtown Santa Rosa. This is the perfect place to go after a night of wine or beer tasting/drinking.

Awesome food--check out the eggs Benedict! Waitresses are amazing and the food comes out fast! Great neighborhood place. The original Parkside.

We came here for breakfast on a weekday and they were moderately busy, mostly all locals who clearly eat there regularly. I say that because when people walked in, the server immediately brought coffee to their table and made conversation that indicated they were regulars... this is telling about a place, if the locals eat there on a regular basis, there's probably something good about the place. In this case, they offered so many great/appetizing items on the menu that it was tough to choose what to eat. I asked the server which was best from a few items that looked appetizing to me and she told me to go with the chicken biscuit... this was a great piece of advise, as that was a very tasty breakfast entrée! The hash browns that came with it were incredible too! The gravy on top of the biscuit was excellent... batter on the chicken was perfect too! My wife got the veggie bowl and she absolutely loved it. It definitely looked really good and was loaded with a nice assortment of veggies! Overall - Great breakfast was had here... Stop in and try it for yourself!

I'm happy to see this place still here. It's been over 5 years since I've been. It's a small place, though they do have some outdoor tables. Limited menu, though diverse. I was seated immediately upon entering, and the waitress came by and acknowledged my presence. I appreciate that. I ordered the country benedict and it was very tasty. A fresh bread slice with spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon and poached eggs with hollandais sauce, served with hashbrowns.

Disclaimer first: They DON'T serve waffles daily (only occasionally). Aside from that initial disappointment (after seeing a photo of a delicious waffle on their page) we had a wonderful breakfast. The chilaquiles special is as delicious!!! We ate outside in the "bench" and the service was fantastic!

There is covered outdoor seating but they do not take reservations. Worth any short wait you may encounter.

    Recommended breakfast dishes?

I highly recommend the Smoke Salmon Hash, or Gompa's Pancake Breakfast. They also make an incredible chicken fried steak as well.

We were seated outdoors - the place closes at 1:30 and we got there around 12:50 - indoor tables full. The patio is shaded and comfortable. Service was prompt and courteous. The food arrived quickly. I had Joe's Special - a more unique scramble of eggs, ground beef, spinach and mushrooms with Asiago cheese and hash browns. The flavors were very well combined and everything tasted good. My son had the French Toast which came with 2 eggs and sausage as well: that's good was very good, but I continue to be disappointed in brunch spots that do not serve pure maple syrup - instead using your usual knock off breakfast syrup. It is a game changer for me and the food as a result suffers. No bubbles here with your breakfast, to be noted, if you like that with your brunch... but that is ok. All in all, good food, quick service, usual pricing (we paid $40 or so for our meals).

I just…read morerealized that they're part of the Stark Reality restaurant group, which has a big presence in Sonoma County. We had also tried Grossman's Noshery & Bar from the same restaurant group and were happy with the food there. I also heard good things about their other restaurants, so it should not have been a surprise that we were also impressed with the food here. Food is served tapas style and honestly, all the dishes sound appetizing. On this visit, we tried a few dishes. I wish I came with a more empty stomach to try more things. We ordered their crispy maitake mushrooms, steamed local black cod, and grilled house-made lamb sausage. Everything was delicious! The crispy maitake mushrooms came with a fish sauce which gave a nice brightening note to eat with fried food. Lemon was also fried with them to help cut any grease, so overall this dish did not feel oily or heavy. The steamed local black cod's ginger scallion oil surprisingly paired very well with the black truffle pesto. It had an earthy flavor profile that was brightened by the ginger. The cod was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms soaked up all of that saucy goodness. I loved this dish! The grilled house-made lamb sausage was Thai inspired and you could definitely taste the spices in the sausage. I actually would've liked more of the tamarind BBQ sauce and basil salad on this dish to help counter the lamb's spiciness a bit, but I enjoyed the dish. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The restaurant is housed in what looks like a historic house, so it was a very cozy environment. They have a patio where you could eat while enjoying nice weather. I would definitely come again if I'm in the area!

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe.
