Went here to eat after work waited a very long time for food, which being a server myself didn't bother me. Got my sandwich and it had a hair on it which I also understand happens sometimes. When I sent it back I was just going to get a bowl of soup or something instead until the server accused me of putting my hair on the plate! Mind you my hair is still up because I went after work. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. Service was bad - waitress refused to wait for everyone to get there before taking our orders, food came out to the table in piecemeal, there was a 10 minute gap between when the first plate arrived and the last. Mine was the last and when it came out, out wasn't right. By that point, everyone was close to done eating so there was no point in fixing it. Waitress also kept pouring hot coffee over a little kids head. Not worth the prices they charge either. Won't be back. read more

This was my second trip to Samantha's. The first trip was exactly as the second. The employees - from the hostess to our waitress were all a little gruff and not particularly polite. Good food, not great. A bit pricey but decent portions. I liked it, didn't love it. I'd give the same star rating to Bob Evans. I guess I expect a little more from a non-chain restaurant. They're menu is vast with many things to choose from. I didn't see anything specifically marked gluten free or healthy. The wait on a Saturday at noon was only five minutes. I saw no reason to return for a third trip. read more

We have always had good food and mediocre service here. The hostess is never personable and neither are the waitresses but the breakfast was always good so we continued to go. However, I will never go there again after my visit today. Everything came out cold and undercooked and when we let our waitress (another not very personable one) know she did not care at all. I'm completely done with this restaurant because there are plenty of places to get great breakfast at way better prices with excellent service. My husband and I love this place. We are both foodies having lived on the West Coast and East coast. Samantha's has an extensive menu and has creative choices! I recently had an omelet with Amaranth and grains and goat cheese (great combination). My wife has Celiac disease, so we struggle to find places that can accommodate her need to be gluten-free. We visit Samantha's quite frequently, as their gluten-free menu is second to none in the Canton area. My wife never gets sick from the food, and the servers are very friendly and careful about her allergy. So many places treat us like we're fad dieters when we ask for a gluten-free menu, but that has never been the case with Samantha's. I do not need to be gluten-free, so I have tried several other items on the menu. I usually get the lasagna, which may seem a little pricey at $14. But when they plunk down a 8"x8" square of layered pasta goodness, you'll quickly realize that you can get two meals out of it. I have a body shape that says "I didn't get this body by eating salad," but I've never been able to eat the whole thing in one sitting. This place is worth the trip for any meal of the day! read more

It was a great choice for breakfast- they have lots of interesting things to try- like bowls filled with all kinds of breakfast goodness. I had a bowl, or scrambler with hash browns, eggs, cheese, and cream-chipped-beef - not something I could eat everyday but it was very good. Have to say....not impressed! Seemed like the wait staff was so pressed for time that they sent the bus boys over with coffee refills and to deliver our food. We seen our waitress just a couple of times ( one to take order, two to ask about our meals, and three to drop the check off) any other time we got to see the rest of the staff instead. Food was ok , and just that ,ok. The place was noisey and just not a great atmosphere for breakfast in my opinion....dinner time might be another story. The menu had a lot of nice items I will say but I hope they get served hot cause mine was served cold. Sorry but won't be back to this one! read more

Went to Samantha's across from Washington Square in North Canton. The biscuits and gravy was recommended and it was absolutely amazing. So amazing, in fact, it turned my wife and I to making biscuits and gravy in our house about once every other week. Great food, great service! read more

Ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was spongy, fatty, and foul tasting. Asked to just order something else (very politely with the waitress and she was understanding) and the owner came out and told us that the chicken is fine...she tasted it! That was very unprofessional to approach a customer with negativity as if we made up the terrible taste we still had in our mouth from the chicken. We have been coming to this restaurant for years. I have not submitted a review before until now. In the past, we had an issue with this same restaurant adding more to the tip on credit card payments. Found out from other patrons that this had happened to them in the past as well. read more

The menu here is amazing! I had the most difficult time deciding on what to order because how creative and delicious everything sounded. The banana nut pancakes were so yummy. I am not sure what is going on with management, but service has really gone down hill lately. First, the positives: The food has always been delicious (I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner there), the menu is large with many unique offerings, and wait staff has always been fantastic. The negatives: a couple of months ago I ordered carry out for the first time. When I got home, tired and battling a cold, I discovered that they left the main part of my sandwich off, essentially giving me a bun with tomato and cheese. I called and explained what happened, and got a replacement sandwich as they were locking up. Correct sandwich but now the rest of my food was cold and these extra trips their and back defeated the purpose of getting food to go. Last night the kids and I decided to go out for dinner, a rare treat. It's a Friday around 6/6:30, and they are surprisingly not very busy. We stood at the Hostess stand for about 5 minutes with nobody ever coming up. I peaked into the dining room several times and never even saw a staff member. We left and went next door to Rockne's, where the parking lot was full, and a Hostess stood at the stand and had us seated within 90 seconds of walking in. I hope that Samantha's gets their act together and returns to their original high quality service, but it will be a while before I return to find out. And if it remains substandard, three strikes and they're out! read more

Like most of the reviews, I agree that it is hit or miss. I stopped in this morning and was seated promptly. No smile from hostess. Ordered spinach omelet without onions. Received veggie omelet but they did leave off the onions, so I ate it. I will probably eat there again if it is handy but if only they would work on the front of the house... read more

Great service and good food. Had to wait a little bit because they were pretty busy for a Saturday morning. I had sausage and eggs and hubby had banana pancakes. If I could give this place 0/5 I would. It took them an HOUR, an HOUR to make a side of hash browns. By that time we had to leave so I asked them to put it in a to-go container. They threw some shaved potatoes in a plastic container and handed it to me half closed sticking out of a plastic bag. Nothing to these hash browns, no apology for taking AN HOUR to make maybe a cup worth of hash browns. The lady next to me waited 30 minutes to get a glass of water. I was extremely pleased with the breakfast I recently had at Samantha's. Prices were reasonable, especially when considering the quality of food and portion size, and the coffee was shockingly drinkable. I had the Samantha Scrambler and it was fantastic.
