This little gem of a restaurant is tucked away in the square in Carrollton. It was my first time in the area. I met a friend there for lunch. Joahna H. a.k.a "JoJo" was our server. She was GREAT. Wonderful, friendly personality. Was able to answer any questions that I had about food and/or drink. Checked in on us regularly to see if we needed anything. What else could you ask for. I was there the day after Christmas so it wasn't busy which was nice. The restaurant interior was really nice. Very organized and clean. The Little Chicken Thigh (Coxinha) were SOOOOOO GOOOD!!! Next time I'm there, I'll get a second order to go and try a couple of other things on the menu. Overall great experience.

This is exactly how my correct sandwich came out when the first I received was wrong. No side and sad plating.

I had high hopes for a weekend afternoon visit to Samba Loca based on reviews. The atmosphere was nice which added to my anticipation. That ended with our inept server who could not answer one question about the menu (and said they'd find out but never did), then food arrived wrong and cold. Second attempt at order looked like a mess and didn't come out with side. Weird. Manager did visit the table and was very kind and apologetic, which was appreciated. Still, with everything getting more and more expensive, it's hard to imagine risking the money again to give a second chance.

Coxinha (about 10% of chicken only; the rest is mussels cheese - not authentic at all)

Service is great, ambience is very nice, portions are huge and price is decent. However if you are looking for authentic Brazilian style; this is NOT the place. (Telling you a born and raised in Brazil man) I ordered for appetizers coxinhas and it had more cheese than chicken into. (Something that you would never see in Brazil). Then for main course the samba minalese; the meat was old, dry and not sure if it was a real piece of beef, tasted more like a beef composite piece.

This might be one of my favorite places to eat of all time. I live in California, but every time I visit my parents in LaGrange, we make the drive just to come eat here. Their olive vinaigrette on the salad is so good, I literally could drink it lol. I wish they sold it. I usually don't eat fat on the steak, but it's a must when eating the picanha. It's so tender and delicious. The bread and the sauces accompanied with it are also delicious. Lobster is always bomb. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thanks for being a great spot to make some memories with my family.

Amazing lunch. The food and drinks were amazing as well. Plan on going back next time I'm in the area to try more! Highly recommend.

Given takeout steak, our pandemic birthday lunch was a huge success thanks to Samba Loca. There aren't many places that my dad compliments, let alone add that he'd return. But Samba Loca did both - after a few bites from his Picanha (top sirloin steak), he then asked about how much his portion cost (aka damage on my credit card) and suggested that we can order this every once in a while. Now that, my friends, is quite a statement if you know this guy. Forget what I think (however, if anything those fried plantains were bomb) - boy am I glad we ate here without waiting for the pandemic to pass, since this was a new one for us - having steak for carryout. If this is new to you too, I encourage you to try this option because who knows when status quo will return to fine dining...

There were 10 of us and we all did the $66 option, everything was so good. The meat was flavorful and just kept coming. We also tried the $10 hibiscus cocktail and it was really good. Both birthday girls got a free dessert, which was such a nice touch. We were seated right away even with a big group, and the whole vibe was perfect for celebrating. Definitely one of my favorite birthday experiences, I'd 100% go back.

I will never be back, ever and will make sure all my friends and facebook friends know. Side note. I went to use the mens room and it was filthy and stunk bad! I do not recommend this place at all. Poor service, smelly bathroom and no omelet for me.

My service at the server attending my table is normally very polite and very attentive. This time it was different. Asya had been somewhat attentive, but as the evening progressed and after being assigned another table next to mine with about 12 people, she no longer attended my TABLE frequently. At the end of the meal, I had four rolls left over and when I asked if I could bring them home, you would've thought that I was asking for a entire steak to take home, but I was not! I asked the general manager I believe his name was JP and he said that he could allow that. While, I understand their policy of not taking out food. I do not understand such a commotion being created over for dinner roles. Her exact quote was "going forward, we will not allow you to take the rolls home" While a simple "no" would've sufficed and I would've accepted it, I believe that the tone that the response was delivered was inappropriate. This tone carried out throughout the rest of the evening to dessert. Even though I was full, I did order dessert to take home. When I paid the bill I was not even thanked for dining there or asked to return . Before leaving I brought it to her attention that I have never left this restaurant without the server thanking me for dining there. She explained to me that she normally tell patrons as they are leaving "see you next time." I explained to her that see you next time was NOT the same as a "Thank you for dining here! "I also brought this to the attention of the general manager before I left. I explained to him that I left her a full tip even though I did not feel she earned it BECAUSE I had hoped that the tips get divided amongst the entire crew serving my table. I'm giving a rating of three rather than one because the highlight of my evening, definitely offset this bad experience. This was due to a very polite and very attentive Jardel, who always came with a smile and was very conscientious about me receiving the meat medium, rare as I requested! I probably will consider another location as I like to dine at Brazilian steakhouses and normally the service is impeccable!

Everything at the salad bar was fresh and flavorful. The meats were well-seasoned, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. The picanha was my favorite - tender, juicy, and flavorful. Upon arrival on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was noticeably quiet, which initially raised some concerns but did not deter us from giving it a try. After being seated, we were directed to the salad and sides bar. Several items appeared as though they had been sitting out for an extended period. The hot items were lukewarm to cold, and many of the cold items looked picked over and were not replenished during our visit. Service was also slower than expected. After returning to our table, we waited approximately 15 minutes before our server returned to take our drink order. When she did, I ordered a sweet tea and water. After some confusion regarding the order, we were informed that the only water option available was a 1-liter bottled water for $7. While we agreed to it, the price felt excessive, especially considering the retail cost of the same product. The sweet tea was particularly disappointing. It appeared as though it had been sitting in a pitcher of melting ice for hours. The tea was so diluted that it was nearly transparent, and I could literally see through it. It lacked both the color and flavor you would typically expect from freshly prepared sweet tea. The dining experience itself was inconsistent. Some meats were served hot while others arrived noticeably cooler. Several cuts appeared to have been sitting for an extended period before being served, and many lacked seasoning. The chimichurri sauce provided the majority of the flavor. Additionally, there were lengthy gaps--often 15 to 20 minutes--between visits from the gauchos, and the same cuts of meat were brought repeatedly. One of the more surprising aspects of our visit was learning that several advertised meat selections were unavailable. After being asked which meat we would like to try next--a question we have never been asked at other Brazilian steakhouses--we were informed that, despite advertising 14 meats, only four red meat options and lamb chops were available that evening. This was disappointing given the expectation of variety that comes with this style of dining. The lamb chops had a strong gamey flavor, and the shrimp offering was relatively basic, consisting of cooked shrimp with seasoning sprinkled on top. To conclude the evening, we were surprised to find that our final bill exceeded what we typically pay at other Brazilian steakhouses that offer a larger selection, fresher food, and more attentive service. Paying a premium price would be understandable if the quality, service, and variety justified it, but that was not our experience. This review reflects only our personal experience during our visit. Unfortunately, based on the condition of the food bar, the quality and consistency of the meats, the slow service, the limited selection, and the overall value for the price, we would not choose to return. Based on our visit, I am genuinely surprised by the restaurant's 4.5-star rating. Everyone's experience may differ, but the food quality, service, overall ambiance, and value we encountered did not reflect what I would expect from a restaurant with such highly rated reviews. Between the condition of the food bar, the inconsistent quality of the meats, the extended wait times, the limited selection available, and the overall dining experience, the rating did not align with what we experienced as first-time guests.
