Everything was top-notch about this place. Nothing fancy, but excellent food and service and price was fair. A great meal.

This buffet isn't self serve, you wait in line and the staff loads up your plate with everything you'd like (and there's a lot!) The food itself is pretty good, the chicken and fish are the best around. The hush puppies have a little kick to them, what a delicious little twist. Sweet tea also really good. Actually what isn't? I pass by this place several times a week on my way to and from WGTC. Their sign says "The Best Fried Chicken in Town", so of course, I had to find out for myself. When I walked in, the dining room was packed and I swear, every single person stopped eating to stare at me like I was the entertainment. Super weird moment, but I wasn't about to let that stop me. The lady behind the counter was friendly and came over to help me pretty quick. Not gonna lie, most of the food looked like it had been sitting there all day, but the fried chicken looked fresh, so I took my chances. Two pieces and a hush puppy later (about $5), and honestly? Fire. The chicken was hot, crispy, and seasoned just right. The hush puppy was crunchy outside, soft inside. The food was good, but the vibe? Not so much. I felt like I crashed a family reunion I wasn't invited to. So yeah, I probably won't go back but I can admit, they weren't lying about that "best fried chicken" sign. read more

We have been here many times for the catfish buffet. This time was a little disappointing for the catfish. We had to wait about 30 minutes for them to cook the fish. I had a plate full of vegetables to eat on until it cooked. I got the cabbage that I avoided before and it was very good. The fish was too salty and was thin. I like a meatier fish and I wouldn't had picked that fish at all. The service is outstanding as always. I do love vegetables. They usually has the best potato salad but not this time. read more

This place looks nasty from the outside. The inside isn't mich better. Our first visit there was a fly floating in the salad dressing which I'm not sure why it was there since there was no salad. It's a limited selection buffet but they serve you from behind a glass which is nice. You serve yourself the Cole slaw or potato salad. First visit I didn't like my meal (fried chicken breadt, rice & collard greens) bc the chicken was really tough, the rice was undercooked & the greens juice filled the plate. This visit I tried the chicken again & it was better. I had corn, a yam & something else (can't recall). The best part of this & the reason we came back was their catfish on Friday is DELICIOUS! Huge fillets & fresh & hot. People must love this place bc the line for togo orders was out the door the entire time in both visits. Total for 2 people w drinks, $31.00. So! I loved this place and I visited often. The selection of food is really decent - it's obvious that the food is very down home Southern. Love it. What I had always assumed, but I never wanted to see...bugs. I will leave it there. I visited a few weeks back and I can't overcome the fact that I saw a bug headed towards a nearby table. I haven't gone back since. I will also state that I highly doubt that anyone associated with this restaurant could care anything about these reviews! I'm just saying - I hope they get the great extermination they need because I won't be back anytime soon. read more

I just moved in this area, and one day I walk in for one piece of fried fish... during the lunch hours. Has no ideas the rule is : for a Full plate is $12.99 - fish or chicken. I just order one piece of fish and dine in, did not make it to go... due the smell will effect my car. So I end up paid the highest price for ONE piece of fish- $12.99 in stead should be paying $6.99 / per pound for my bill!!!!! The waitress did not correct the error nor she wants to help me at the end. The services here is not going to win customers back. Specially no one ever gives two seconds to explain how this going to work for someone new ! Very disappointed. Writing this today also want the owner to see it. Where they failed. read more

I drive by this place every day with my wife and kids and without fail someone always says "let's go there!!!", so one morning we did. My wife and I walked in, we were the only customers there so I asked if they were open and a young woman employee said "for what", confused we said "breakfast", while we were still standing at the front door and with an attitude she asked us "what do you want to drink?", still confused and with no guidance as to where to sit, we said "coffee", she quickly replied "we don't have that", I said "no coffee?", she gave me a huff and said "let me check". We found this place one day as we were just riding around looking at a old Church some of my husbands folks are buried at.Love the fish we got family to going and they love it.But I wish it was cheaper we go a lot at lunch time and golden corral is not far down the road lunch at golden corral is only .50 cent higher and they have several bars where Lankmark has one and a small salad bar.But the fish on Tuesday and Fridays are delis....Maybe Landmark should include drink with the bar and it for sure will be worth it..... read more

I have just discovered a hidden gem in the western part of Douglas County, Landmark Cafe is outstanding. The food is fresh not from the can and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
