Made an appointment for a Covid test about a week ahead of time for 5pm on a Sunday. I went with the insurance option with results within 40 hours for $0 cost. Arrived right at 5pm, got checked in and then was seen within 3 minutes of arriving. There were 2 other people that showed up after me with 5pm appointments as well so they seem to bundle them but you are taken back in the order in which you arrive. I was quickly swabbed and on my way. I also found street parking about a block away. I received notification via text and email on Monday afternoon that my results were available and I logged into their portal to access them. Unfortunately I couldn't give zero. I had an appointment for a Covid PCR test today that I scheduled days before. I received two emails and one text that day reminding me of my appointment, the final email and text no more than 30 minutes prior to my appointment. When I arrived I saw a handwritten sign (see attached) advising me and the half dozen or so other customers I saw, that they were closed. One of the customers was a lady who as she walked back to her car with Maryland tags asked, "what am I going to do now". She left before I could think to offer her to use my cell to find another location. I felt so bad for her I needed to make sure I wrote this review. I only walked about a mile through the freezing rain to be there. She drove from Maryland. Now eventually they did give me notice about the closure via email and text, advising me my "upcoming" appointment was canceled, almost an hour after it was scheduled. Note: I saw at least one business on the block which remained open via generators. As a chain healthcare clinic I would expect you would have at least tried. read more

I can't believe the experience I had with them. I paid an additional $75 for a $0 test to get expedited results within 16 hours, and almost 24 hours later I still haven't gotten the results. The worst part is they have refused to give me a full refund, offering only 50%. I got 0% of the service, so how are they going to give me only 50% of my money back? I've gone to SameDay Health several times now for expedited PCR COVID testing and they're fantastic! Everything is very clean, efficient and well-run. The test results often came back even sooner than expected. I can't recommend them enough. Their medical staff are great as well and coach you through nose swabs if needed. I paid for a priority (within 24 hrs) PCR test. I received a message this morning saying the specimen collected last night could not be tested and requesting I call to schedule an appointment at my earliest convenience. I called and had to leave a message to be called back. Someone called back an hour later. He then told me there were no appointments available today. He was consulting with the site to determine if they could fit me in and, after 30 minutes on hold, dropped the call and never called me back. I was supposed to have results today and now I won't even have a test today. I would recommend finding a different testing location. Update: The manager of this location contacted me after seeing my review and apologized. She offered me a free 1 hr PCR test and fit me into the schedule within a couple hours. Terrible testing experience. I never write reviews but this has been awful and a huge inconvenience for my family. Promised results in less than 40 hours. It's now been 60 and no results. Each time we called they said there was a "delay" and promised the results would be available within 2-3 hours. Then they stopped answering the phones. We don't know the test results AND can't resume school/work etc. Sameday customer support had been evasive and unhelpful. If you actually need your results, go somewhere else. read more

Had a terrible experience here! Made an appointment weeks in advance for post-travel testing and showed up at the appointment time and no one was there. The building was open/unlocked, others with appointments were waiting around but there was no staff anywhere. When I finally reached someone by phone hours later I was told the location was closed indefinitely (possibly due to weather, but they weren't sure). No one contacted me or the dozens of others with appointments today letting us know, and they offered no other options on how to receive testing in light of their failure to honor these appointments. Two girls working this morning at the front desk unbelievably rude. I stood and waited to be simply greeted for over 3min. I was five min early to my appointment, they completely looked past me. One was red head the other was blonde and asked if I had been helped after her and the other girl sat and chatted together CLEARLY seeing that I hadn't been helped. They should not be checking people in for COVID testing in this climate. I was just here last week and although I was waiting outside, the young women working the line were swift and professional. This is peoples health they are dealing with, that was no time to be unprofessional and possibly prejudice. I usually never come to this location and surely won't again. Stay away from Sameday Health in Old Town Alexandria. Today is Saturday, January 15th and I am still waiting on my test results from Sunday, January 9th. This is absolutely atrocious. I ended up finding availability at a Curative testing site on Wednesday, January 12th and received my results within 24 hours. A friend of mine went to Sameday on Sunday, January 9th but paid for expedited results, which she received the following day. I will be contacting my insurance company to let them know not to pay for the Sameday Health test. Honestly, I believe Sameday Health is raking in money at the expense of individuals and insurance companies. This is absolutely shameful.
