It came back again even with taking antibiotics. He then did a steroid injection but that didn't help either. Due to the circumstance he referred me to a "specialist" of Dr Massry. Dr Massry was awful. He didn't seem to care or really help me. Instead he said that I needed a biopsy because it could be cancer. He didn't really care to assist me further and instead referred me to other doctors to confirm his cancer diagnosis. Overall, if you have a quick procedure done here, it can be nice. But if you want a better treatment plan, maybe some other office may be better. But at all costs, avoid Dr Massry.

The plaza is currently going through major renovations, so parking is a little bit limited. Made an appointment online. The office is a typical office, though it's a little dark inside and not as clean/organized as other optometrists I've been to in the past. Dr. Voros was very nice and I like her bedside manner. I provided her with my previous prescription for contacts and glasses and she was able to go off of that and fine tune it. This is a 2 person show, so it's critical that you make an appointment to see her to avoid any long wait times. After she finalized the numbers, I was provided prescriptions for both. I do find that her prices for contacts and glasses are much higher than Costco's. But to be fair, I'm sure the materials used for the glasses are of higher quality than Costco's. Since I wear contacts over glasses and didn't value having glasses, going to Costco was a no brainer. I did have to go back to her to fine tune my contacts prescription a couple of times, but all in all, I find that she is very knowledgeable and was able to get my prescriptions to my liking. I have read a few negatives about her assistant Reuben. I also did encounter a not so positive encounter with him. I am not sure, but I think he might be on the spectrum and that could explain his behavior and not being able to connect on a personal/emotional level.

Just picked up new reading glasses there and Ruben was able to find a way to have insurance pay for it without a penny out of my pocket. Dr. V works hard to maintain positive relationships with her patients and I am extremely grateful to her and Ruben. She helps me change my contacts every month, understands whatever difficulty I may be having with my glasses and always finds a way to correct the issue. If you live locally, you'd be foolish to go anywhere else.

Due to covid, they are seeing patients by appointment only. Door is always locked. They have a sign at the door asking you to knock and you wait to be let in. They take your temperature at the door before you are let in. When coast is clear, they are asked to enter. You must wear a mask at all times. Every other seats are marked "DO NOT SIT" and clean pens available at the front desk to sign in. When you are done, there is another container for used pens. When trying on frames, you are to asked to just leave it on table and do not put back on display case. Everyone is wearing masks at all times and equipment are well sanitized. They also offer curb side pick up. Park at the designated parking and call the office to let them know you are there. They will come out to your car.

Wow. On 4/7 I took my 86 year old father here for an eye exam. While some employees and Dr. Karlin…read moreare extremely hospitable, we had one of the worst encounters I could ever imagine. As with most eye exams there are several tests which have to be done as well as the typical screening of the eyes prior to seeing the Doctor. At 86 my father is hard of hearing and there is a language barrier, which is why I attend all of his appointments. The first interaction with the screening was ok. The young lady wasn't rude but she seemed visibly annoyed that my dad was not completely comprehending what she was asking so I had to intervene. The next part though took the cake. What can be described as a Karen through and through. We were in the waiting room when this woman yelled out our last name. I stood up and so did another woman in the office of Asian descent. Apparently we both had the same last name. The lady seemed confused and said "there's 2 of you?" I said my dad's first name and she said "yeah that one". What transpired next was deplorable, her barking out orders and getting frustrated because my dad wasn't putting his head or eyes in the place she wanted but before I could intervene each time she just keeps yapping and continually making comments like "sir don't put your jaw there and that's not what I asked you to do. Does this woman not have parents? WTF. After this pleasant interaction we saw the Doctor and he asked for another test. No one told us it was going to be $85. It's fine I just paid it; however, who does random tests without notifying the patient on the cost of the test? Unfortunately we had to visit yet again with the unpleasant lady and this time she was just off the rails. I finally stopped her and said, "you have horrible bed side manner and a terrible F in attitude" she stops cold turkey and mutters something about being in her safe space and she is going to get somebody. An office manager comes in and asks to speak to me while another young man does the test. What a difference! A kid with patience and understanding. He mentions to me that he takes care of his grandma so he respects me for being there and totally gets it. Also mentions that the lady we were working with is extremely difficult. Meanwhile I get a talking to by the office manager about my language which is the only thing they can reference because I said the F work once to a terrible human being. I kept asking about the behavior of the employee to which I was afforded a "we deal with this behind the scenes". We see the doctor again and now upon leaving we are escorted out by the office manager who has the audacity to ask me if I am willing to apologize to the employee. I said absolutely not. He proceeds to tell me that I am choosing to do the wrong thing, oh the irony. I ask him if you are asking me to apologize, is your employee going to apologize to me and my father for her behavior? Of course the answer was no. Sad that people beat up on the elderly and can't imagine what would have happened had I not been there to advocate for my father. Never again at this office it's obviously a DEI hub of safe spaces and hypocrites. DEI has no place in this society, especially when the DEI people don't afford it to the very groups they supposedly are advocating for. What happened to us was racist with a mix of elder abuse. Treat people the way you want to be treated but don't cry wolf when someone isn't willing to put up with your crap. STAY away the reviews are spot on and I will be finding my parents a new eye doctor. ‍

Seriously, I had a good time having my eyes scanned, inspected, and tested. This process is not supposed to be "fun", but it was! Dr. Ronald Singer is a gas, and the exam was unhurried and comprehensive. Following the eye exam, he informed me I would not actually benefit from Rx glasses just yet. He could have sold me glasses I didn't need, and I feel like plenty of lesser clinics would have happily done so. I highly recommend Dr. Singer: he is thorough, kind, honest, and yes, entertaining.

She purchased the business several years…read moreago from Dr Samet, who by the way had a remarkable reputation in the community for over 30 plus years (see his reviews to back this statement up). I then became Dr Ohanian's patient. Although she was 20% more than what I was paying before, I felt good about continuing a relationship. I am a business owner as well, having at times 100's and 100's of employees, so I wanted to help Ohanian in building a flourishing practice. For the last few years with Dr Ohanian it's been the exact same price for my exams. I called and spoke with her new office manager, the 6th one since taking over, Mario or something like that, and asked again about the pricing. He said $99. After my exam, Mario said I owed $159, I said for what? He said for a contact lens fitting. Well, I only wear contact lenses (more than 45 years) so fitting isn't what she did. The exams are identical each time I go there. Mario proceeded to tell me several times that this isn't Dr.Samat's practice and these are the charges Ohanian sets. In fact, he went to back to speak with her and she said yes. SO MY QUESTION TO ALL THAT READS THIS REVIEW, KNOWING I'M A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS OWNER AND MONEY ISN'T THE ISSUE, " WOULD YOU DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE THAT VALUES MONEY OVER INTEGRITY?" I WOULDN'T AND I WON'T BE BACK AGAIN. You lose a client for exams and a client that pays top dollar for his contact lenses. Dr Ohanian, here's a valuable tip in growing and running a successful business: "it's cheaper to keep an existing client happy than finding new ones".
