I called into the office a few months back after waking up in the morning with some pretty devastating pain. I knew my teeth were in rough shape and I hadn't made time to come into a dentist (which is a terrible idea). Thankfully, the staff was quick to find me a spot within a day and suggest a thorough treatment. I was pretty nervous and worried, but they assured me we could get my teeth into a great spot. I came to her office to get a second opinion on my teeth. I have a orthodontist who in his opinion I need extensive work done in my mouth and I had a dead tooth removed by him in which took two hours to remove and he was unsuccessful to completely remove the last root. My experience at Samira Seini's clinic has been excellent. I needed gum surgery and every step of the process has been accommodating and pleasant. The surgeon was very skilled in anesthetizing the area that had to be worked on. The surgery went by quickly and it has healed very well. I'm happy with the results. Yesterday morning I went to a dentist in need of a root canal procedure. I was going to pay out of pocket because I don't have dental insurance. However, the dentistry I went to was horrible. It didn't seem like they were following COVID standards. The dentist himself looked like he was wearing the same mask for days. As well as lacking people skills. I decided to take my money elsewhere. I reached to Dr. Seini on Friday, days prior to yesterday, in need of this procedure. I received a response after I came home from the other dentist. She was able to see me that same day! First impression, her dentistry is gorgeous! Wow, this was the first dentistry I've been to where it felt modern! Dr. Seini was so nice to me and explained everything to my partner and I. I was really scared because I've heard about root canal procedures, but Dr. Seini and her dental assistant were so kind. They were able to put me at ease and kept me calm throughout the process. I still have two more appointments for my root canal procedure, but I couldn't be more happier with my choice in dentist! I highly recommend coming here! PS I still never got my medical records from you. Dr. Samira is a terrible dentist and horrible person. I went to her after seeing her on yelp. I had a pretty bad cavity and she recommended that it would need a crown. She also said I had a lot of other little cavities that I didn't really see on the xrays or feel anything when she poked at it but I trusted her. She made it seem like she was giving me such a good deal but when I looked up what I was charged months later she was standard pricing if not more expensive. I had a cleaning from her assistant at the time. A week later I had to go in for follow up on my crown and she told the assistant I needed a cleaning. I told her I had just gotten one and she made up some story about how it looked like I needed more... my teeth definitely didn't need two cleanings in one week. when she put in my crown she said "hm I wonder if this is too big... no I think it's okay" man I wish I would have followed up on that. When you look into my mouth the tooth with the crown is ridiculously bigger then my other same molar teeth it's laughable. Food always gets stuck between that tooth and the next molar because it's too big and pressing on my other tooth so tight. I never bothered to go back to her... first of all, it's such an obvious error that she KNEW it was too big but didn't want to cop up to the idea of having to pop the crown off and for a smaller one which would be another two week process. Any dentist I've been to ever since has never told me I needed Cleaning's more then once a year I have very nice clean teeth, and they jaw drop when they see the size of the crown. I have asked other dentists if they could take it off and put a new smaller one to fit my mouth. Unfortunately they told me that it's a high chance this does damage to my tooth and could possibly crack my tooth underneath so they say I should leave it. Here is where I REALLY have my issue with Samira and why I won't go back to her or even discuss this issue with her. She will lie through her teeth (no pun intended) and act like the victim and just pretend like she had no idea what you're talking about. She's extremely manipulative and narcissistic. I got extremely sick from black mold and mostly bedridden being taken care of by my boyfriend. It had been about 6-9 months since I'd seen her. I had to get a brain and face mri for my health issues and they found a dense mass in the bone in my jaw. My doctors wanted me to see a cancer bone jaw specialist (I forgot the official name) right away. They wanted ALL my records from her to see if there was a mass in her records and so they could track EXACTLY how much it had grown. Turns out there was a mass in her records as well so this became extremely important. She dodged my emails her office ignored my calls and never got back to my messages requesting images be sent to the doctor. I finally showed up in person. I told them I was extremely upset, very sick and couldn't deal with the stress and that I needed about 5 copies of my records and images for all my doctors. She said in the most snarky tone "why didn't you just call" knowing that they were understaffed and they had trouble answering their phone. Not only that but she then said it cost 30$ a copy for my files... I'm sorry what? At this point I was seeing a team of 8 nationally renowned specialist in different fields managing my case (I was dieing) none of these other doctors ever charged a penny when I requested records, images, files etc for myself or for use with other doctors. I told her this and she said sorry I don't make the rules... THE BOARD DOES. I was like... the board???? she goes yeah the board decides that I'm not in charge. I said okay I can't afford this at all at this point I was in thousands upon thousands of dollars of medical bills debt which I told her and she didn't budge. I said fine then no images or xrays may I have just have a copy of the paper records that state what you saw in the xrays - essentially you're paper file. She said she would have to still charge me 30$ per copy. By the way you guys in case you're unaware- that is ILLEGAL it's against HIPA laws you have a right to obtain a copy of your medical records without charge. I told her this and again she told me to talk to the board. I know... right? I looked up her practice website partners everything. There was no board, she was the owner at that time and she knew it. She sucks you guys... she just sucks. Don't get me wrong she's charming and all but do not trust her she is unethical. You should seriously consider why there's so many 1 star reviews. Not that many people have time to randomly bash a dentist. Neither do I which is why this took me a few years but I'm hoping I can save someone the complete disregard and inferior workmanship she has. read more
