DO NOT COME HERE. i wasted around an hour and a half. why? the receptionist failed to make me my appointment even though she confirmed a date and time. i left seeing as i was not going to be helped anytime soon. i called to tell them i will not be returning. i was left with my head throbbing in pain with teeth that desperately needed fillings. i would have wasted over 3 hours at this place when that was never necessary. at least my daughter got seen but they referred me to tustin endodontics claiming they will only charge $200 for a cat scan. dr. ayala reassured the rest was going to get covered by the insurance. guess what? i was hit with an additional $400 that i don't have and will be forced to use my credit card. i still need to go back and pay an additional $200 for her to complete her treatment there. smile life dental takes no accountability for their mistakes and are unprofessional. stay far away!! i personally will never ever be returning and hope more people step forward and complain. this place should be shut down!! read more

Friendly staff! The type of care they provide is outstanding. I've had some very uncomfortable appointments in the past and has discouraged me from tending to my dental needs but I called in on a whim with a very painful tooth and they were beyond accommodating, agreeing to see me the same day. On a Saturday! Bless them. The Doctor is professional and knowledgeable. After getting my main problems addressed, I hope to follow up for a cosmetic procedure here. I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at this clinic. I came in because my permanent (bonded/lingual) wire was moving, and I admitted it might have happened while I was eating. When the doctor checked, she told me my teeth had shifted and that I had open gaps. Instead of setting expectations with me first -- explaining what that meant, what my options were, and how much each would cost -- she immediately removed my wire. Only afterward did she tell me that my "options" were either Invisalign or braces again for six months, which would cost $2,000 just for the bottom teeth. This made no sense given that I had finished my braces less than three months ago. Since I could not afford that, I asked her to just replace the permanent wire. I was charged $300 for the replacement. But when I went home, I found that my plastic retainer for the bottom teeth no longer fit. When I called the office the next day, I was told this was because the doctor had changed the position of the wire -- and that I now needed a new bottom teeth plastic retainer for another $300. This was never mentioned before treatment or before I left the office. To make matters worse, the staff treated me with blame and dismissiveness, saying things like "you and your family should be thankful" and "you damaged the wire" and "you only came in for the permanent wire," despite knowing that when the doctor changes the position of the wire, a new retainer would inevitably be required. These repeated accusations left me feeling frustrated, dismissed, and in unnecessary pain, both physically and emotionally. No patient should have to deal with unexpected costs or be treated with disrespect because important details weren't explained in advance. If my teeth had shifted and a new plastic retainer would be required, I should have been told that before the wire was removed. I will not be returning to this clinic, and I hope they reflect on the importance of clear, honest, and respectful communication with patients. read more

I can't lie and say I've never been afraid of the dentists. My girlfriend spoke very highly of Dr. Marcerla Ayala. She had gone to her in the past and told me how approachable and professional she is. I live up in San Jose (6.5 hours away) and was excited in meeting her and having a cleaning done. Finding her office was very easy. She is located on the 5th floor and to the right. Upon entering her office, I actually didn't feel as stressed or anxious as I would entering any other doctor office. It was very clean and tidy, and chairs were adjusted to adhere to social distancing (which I really appreciate). I checked in at the front with the very friendly receptionist. She had me jot down some information and we were ready to go shortly after. I sat down in the char and had some X-rays done. The nurse was also very friendly and walked me through all the steps. Shortly after that, Dr. Marcela walked in and asked me a few questions and we went through the cleaning process. It was all very seamless. After the procedure was complete, she walked me through on things to maintain my smile. I pulled out my phone and pulled up my camera for a selfie and was able to smile confidently. I was really happy. Overall; the quality and professionalism here will gladly have me travel from as far as San Jose to have work done. I genuinely want to thank Dr. Marcela Ayala and her team for having me become confident with my smile again. read more

DONT GO HERE! The service is absolutely the worst one ever. We had an appointment ar 11:00, they let us wait for 40 mins, then they said 20 more mins. And then they called us into the room JUST to say "20 more mins". So we decided to drop them, and they said "You already waited for an hour. Just 20 mins more is ok." I was like "What the fuck??? Who the fuck taught them the customer service skill????" They should have let us know at the beginning that we would have to wait, and give us option to reschedule. NO! They did not!!! They let us wait, and kept saying 20 mins more! What the fuck???? read more

I definitely suggest finding another practice. The dentist herself seemed knowledgeable but the dental assistant who took me yesterday was rude and unsanitary. She started taking x-rays and would touch the pieces that went into my mouth, touch the camera, then she took a clorox wipe to clean off the camera and cabinet then proceeded to clean my teeth without changing her gloves. I expressed my concerns with plaque around my teeth but she stopped me while I was talking and told me to take it up with the dentist afterwards. Normally with a cleaning they would take the tools and get any plaque around the teeth but she got straight into brushing and she flossed in between maybe 5 teeth even leaving a piece of floss stuck in my teeth. She did a poor job and came off very lazy. The cleaning took maybe 5 minutes. The office just seems very rushed and unattentive to really improving your teeth. read more

I accompanied my girlfriend to her dentist appointment that was at 10 o'clock in the morning and they didn't take her in until 12 in the afternoon. Thus, we had a 2 hour wait. There was people who had come after us who were taken in before us although we rushed to arrive at our exact appointment time. Amidst working on my girlfriends wisdom teeth, they kept going back-and-forth to other patients so it took them another hour to complete her work. We were at the dentist for a total of 3 HOURS. That's not where the trouble ended. Amidst entering the parking structure, you have to get a ticket that the dentist has promised to pay off. However, since it took them two hours for them to bring her in and one hour to complete her appointment, we were there for three hours and the dentist didn't want to cover the parking cost because they only cover 2 hours. However, we were for 3 hours -- through no fault of our own. As a matter fact, they said that because I came with my girlfriend, that I should've removed my car. My girlfriend came here four years ago and decided to give them another shot at the new location. We did not know that the voucher was meant for only 2 hours. They said there was nothing they could do about it. very unprofessional, and they do not respect your time. read more

She is professional and at the same time very compassionate about both her clients and staff. Great Dental Group & Dentist! They have reasonable fees and have great customer service. I have had been to many dentists but have had issues finding one that is in the Central OC area especially in Anaheim that I liked. They accept many insurance plans and actually have great cash prices without insurance that rival the insurance co-pays. I heard about them from Yelp when they had only 1 review and then saw them on the Blue Shield website as a member so tried them. In comparison to other dental groups this place has way better hours as well. I called numerous dental groups trying to get a last minute appt on the weekend or evening so I could go to the appt during non work hours and not take vacation time off, and they got me in with no problem. Open on Saturdays too and they don't have those strange schedules like other groups with all kinds of days closed here and there. So much more convenient. After my great experience with Dr. Eduardo Mas I got all my household family to sign up here and now they all get treated here. Dr Eduardo is a very well educated, humorful, and down to earth Dr. He always offer practical advice and never attempts a procedure without your knowledge and understanding of what it is. He always keeps in mind the cost to you. It is welcoming as some Dentists at other places don't keep that in mind. I even saw this dental group at the Anaheim Health Fair where they volunteered their time to the needy. Well, I went into Smilelife and was greeted by a very nice receptionist. After my x-rays, I had my teeth cleaned and was seen by Dr. Ayala. Let me tell you, she is amazing! She is very tender and very honest with the work that will have to be done on you. No BS, no gimmicks! I went in because I my wisdom tooth was bothering me, she took it out in five minutes. Dr. Ayala is great, really knows how to make procedures as painless as possible. Staff, not so much. Very friendly, but verified my insurance incorrectly and they performed a procedure that had a 6-month waiting period, so had to continue that insurance longer than I needed. Everyone speaks Spanish all around you, so you don't know what they are saying above your head when you're in the chair, even though they all know English. They offer a referral gift, but it's not cash, it's a credit toward future visits. All that said, Dr. Ayala is worth it, just make sure you know every detail about what your portion of insurance is beforehand. read more

When I was younger I had my bottom two wisdom teeth removed since they were impacted but I couldn't get the insurance to cover my top wisdom teeth because they were coming in straight so I left them in. A few years later, I started getting pain as my upper wisdom teeth started coming in and one of my coworkers recommended I go see Dr. Ayala for a consultation.
