In town for my sister-in-law's wedding - she recommended this restaurant for an easy sit down…read morelunch, and it was fantastic! Service was so prompt and nice, and being able to order straight from your phone and pay/being able to walk away easily after was super convenient. I got the Meatball Riggie Turn Down (side) since I wasn't super hungry after traveling, and I definitely recommend this as a lunch portion - the side size was really filling and still pretty big. The meatball was incredible (and large) and the sauce of this pasta, while it had a little heat to it, was well seasoned and smooth. Great chill place with an awesome playlist of oldies music and the opportunity for indoor and outdoor scenic views.

This is a much shorter review than usual for me. We literally have been going to Syracuse for years…read morenow and have never been here because we can never secure a reservation. We had dinner reservations elsewhere but were downtown early and were looking for a drink before dinner. We tried our usuals and the bar at each place was full. Believe it or not, there 2 seats at Pastabilities. The bar was comfortable and the inside was dark and cool. We sat and were greeted by a very jolly bartender who took great care of us. We ordered our usual (Manhattans). They were awesome. He offered us some bread and sauce to go with the drinks and we said sure - outstanding bread and the sauce was awesome. We ordered a salad with burrata and tomatoes which was also excellent. We had a great visit even though it was a short one. Why 4 stars? We are visiting again in October and our bartender helped us secure a dinner reservation. I figured I'd save the five star for that.

I enjoyed the flatbread pizza, largely due to the flatbread itself. I have noticed a large void of good pizza crust in this area and surrounding villages, so this scratched that itch. The fried pickles were bar food at its best. A crisp, spear, rendition instead of the flimsy pickle chips found in many diners. They make their own dressings and the blue cheese dressing alone will bring me back. The fries were also good, but the margaritas could use some work. The mix tastes like gatorade, so still drinkable, but if the homemade nuance from that crave-worthy blue cheese dressing could be applied, it would be a lovely elevation and bring me back more than my budget should allow. The music on Thursday at their first strings and wings was F*#$ing fantastic!! I did not catch the performers name, but folks, come with cash for tips because this artist brought his A game. Multi-genre, great guitar skills, and a fabulous voice. We sat in the dining because the bar area is a bit small for eating, but we could hear him perfectly and it made the night. This event with the crowd spread them thin and tested the kitchen, but besides a "relaxed" pace of the food coming out, there was no impact to service and everyone was lovely. We must support these local gems if we want them in our backyard. So while I will be a thorn in their side trying to push for an upgraded cocktail experience, I will also be a devout local advocating for my community to be the same. Well done Uncle J's!
