Cozy family restaurant. Friendly and attentive service from the owners. Food is always excellent and filling. Forgot to take pics in the restaurant so my pictures are of my leftovers the next day. Alfredo is creamy and delicious and not too heavy, just needs a touch of salt which is an easy add at the table. Garlic knots are soft and pillowy and super garlicky, just how I like them. They come with a dish of their tasty marinara for dipping. Great spot if you want some tasty comfort food!

Excellent cheese but sadly the rest was blah. It was a bit doughy for me and the sauce didn't have much flavor. It was ok but not something I'd go out of my way to get again.

    Apps and entrees!!!

We were reluctantly stopping at the diner up the road because we were starving and it was packed and we didn't know of another place in Parish, so we searched and found this GEM! Rose and her husband are the business owners, he cooks and she tends to the customers. She was so happy to see us walk in, as there were only people picking up to go orders. She saw that I was cold and had us sit at a table with the vents below and she cranked up the heat right beneath me. She recommended a Barefood Strawberry Fruitscato for our wine and it wound up being our favorites that we have ever tried. The hot wings were our app, they were tender, juicy and the sauce was amazing. Our entrees were their house specialty "pasta pie" which, simply put, is a supreme pizza with noodles instead, it was phenomenal; And the chicken and broccoli Alfredo which was also great, creamy with the right amount of garlic and both came with a salad to start. Rose was so pleasant, she told us stories, and within minutes our plates were served by both her and her husband, the chef. It was sad to see the dining room not packed at 6pm on a Thursday, pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

This place is top notch. Quaint little Italian restaurant run by Mom and Pop, and they are both excellent cooks! We had calzones, calamari and chicken Parm with ziti pasta. It may have been the best calamari I've ever had The chicken Parm was also excellent flavorful and juicy The pasta was fresh, sauce was delicious, And my friend said that the calzone was also top-notchnew paragraph They also have a full-service bar, and pizza for dining or take out which I also hear is the best The owners were extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to, and service was absolutely outstanding I don't see how it could get any better

The food was beyond awesome! Pretty much licked the plates clean. The marinara sauce is the best I've ever had !

Best pizza in the area. And prices are comparable. Pasta dishes and Fish dinners are amazing as well.

I've been ordering from here since they opened and the food is amazing. The pizzas are huge and with perfect thin crust.

Mckelvey was my bartender/server. She was sweet and welcoming. She mixed a terrific Negroni! Backpedaling a bit. I arrived at 6 and by the time my cocktail was in front of me there was a wait. I was disappointed with the apps.. all fried..I'm sure delish but I wasn't in the mood. I had Utica beans and kale (had the hot pepper symbol but not at all spicy ) $16 with a side meatball $6 and sausage $6. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was lively. Everything arrived quickly. Same for my bar mates. I will go back and request extra extra cherry peppers.. Oh! And get the lemon marscapone cake... worth every calorie!! Mange!

When we arrived the place was packed, but sure enough, our table was waiting. First came water. Then our server Lydia came over to ask for our drink order. Because I was driving back home, I only wanted one craft beer for the evening. My wife was having wine. We each ordered the Caesar salad, which was half of a Romaine lettuce sliced lengthwise dressed with cheese and dressing. It was tasty, but a lot of food. I ordered the fra Diavlo seafood pasta with rigatoni. My wife had one of the specials, which looked a bit like beef on weck without the sesame seeds. Mine was good, but not all spicy like I was expecting. Hers was actually quite good. Both were loaded with garlic, which seems to be a staple of this place. Because it was a Friday evening and the place was packed, the noise level was quite high. This was especially true because behind me were two large tables of noisy diners. Once they left it was back to a more normal level. Our server Lydia was terrific. Overall staffing was quite good. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Well go back!

Jaw drop. This place is NYC/SF league. Brio Chinotto. Spiced green olives, four flavors, in tubs…read more Italian groceries packed into the tiny place. Fresh figs. That's just the weirds stuff that I like... the FOCACCIA -- they're baking it right there! There's only two sandwiches. This is a GOOD THING... meat or veggie. Apart from amazing -- small detail: romaine, crispy, super fresh... the meats and veggie patty: great recipe. This all before mentioning their namesake dish... pasta... six feet away from the baking, a lady pulling noodles out of a pasta machine, which I'll have to experience next time.

Since moving to Toronto, I miss Pasta Genova deeply…read more They have some of the very best focaccia anywhere, which alone is enough to recommend them. But they also have nearly peerless homemade pastas (of which the smoked paprika linguine is my favourite, though they often only make it by request), spectacular prepared sauces, and regular specials on essentials that will get you things like premium olive oil or balsamic vinegar* at supermarket prices. * Genova is one of the few places I've regularly found a variety of pure, aged balsamic vinegar free from sulphites. AWESOME. So, here's some tips: 1) They ONLY TAKE CASH, no exceptions. I once witnessed a woman curse them out for this fact and declare she'd tell all her friends not to shop there; when she left, everyone in the tiny shop, myself included, burst out laughing, and one of the guys declared "we can barely keep up with the customers we have, we don't need her!". Very jovial, and they took her bitch-fest so perfectly in-stride they could give lessons on how to turn the other cheek. 2) If you need a quick lunch, pick up a focaccia sandwich -- they're about $4 if memory serves, with salami, lettuce, tomato, and mustard, and they're fantastic! If you want to suddenly realize you're hungry, walk down Wellington around 11:00am for the wafting glory of baking focaccia and just try to resist the pull. 3) When ordering pasta instead of ordering by weight, order by serving size. Say things like "I'm having a dinner party for six, four big eaters and two regular", and they'll give you an incredibly accurate amount of what you need, plus a little extra (because people WILL want seconds, believe me!). 4) Their homemade calabrese olives are out of this world good. They use a puree of oil-marinated chilis, oregano, fennel (I think), and oil, and very, very good sun cured olives... and damn, these things are so good I eat them until I hurt. 5) Ask what's on special, or if they have any leftovers. I've scored half servings of pasta, day old (but still delicious) focaccia, and nearly expired but still awesome cheese for cheap. Finally, I'll also mention that the staff here are fabulous -- very nice people who greet with a smile, always bid a good day, and work diligently to help provide you with exactly what you need to hit a homerun with whatever it is you're cooking. Only downside: Toronto Maple Leaf fans. Egads!
