I decided to treat myself to a spa pedicure instead of a regular one. After looking over their spa options, I went with a cucumber pedicure. The smell of cucumber was relaxing and fresh. The nail tech that did my pedicure was wonderful. Continued to ask if the water temperature was okay and even asked if I liked the color on my toenails after she applied it to one toe. Very considerate! I would definitely return to this nail salon when I'm in need!

Absolutely could not show up with these disgraceful fingertips. I called Dif and requested an appointment, telling them I was about 20-25 minutes away. When I arrived, K was ready for me. He wanted to take everything off, but I asked him to please just do a fill and file, and he did!! He gave me beautiful, short, rounded nails with many coats of baked gel pale pink polish. I was delighted. While this took much longer than usual, I still had plenty of time to get to Amityville, so I got a basic pedicure, too. The pedicure was also great. No complaints at all. While it was more expensive than most for the gel polish, that's probably because my nails were in such horrible shape from the chipping, dye, etc. I was also happy to see water and nail drying spray, which I used on my toes. It's a clean, busy place. All the nail stations were busy when I arrived. Definitely make an appointment. They also offer other services, although I didn't read the list. I am thrilled to have found a nail place, and really don't mind driving to Patchogue, because I can get other stuff done there too, like get gas at Costco.

There are two televisions facing opposite of one another in the middle of the salon. Most salons that I go to don't have any. I watched News 12 as Leana did my pedicure. The salon's floor and chairs are relatively clean, considering the volume of customers that comes in. There were collectively nine customers getting manicures and pedicures today around 3:30 pm; and there were three more sitting down, waiting for somebody to take them to a chair. The nail dryer station is outdated. I have seen more modern ones than that. This salon is located in the same shopping center as Staples, UPS and King Kullen. So there is plenty of free parking. Joyce's Tips Nail & Spa is not the best salon that I have been to, but I go there once in a blue moon when I have a nail emergency. I live close by, and one of my toenails broke this morning.

I went to leave a tip for Karen on her work station and let her know where I was leaving it and her response was "mhm" and wouldn't look at me. I was completely disrespected and had a TERRIBLE experience. I could have left her no tip and chose to do the right thing! I called the salon to speak with the owner. A man named Steve picked up the phone. He said he is the person you'd speak to for complaints. I told him my experience and how uncomfortable and disrespected I felt. I asked for him to void my credit card payment and he refused. His response was "Karen tries the best she can. If she can't do it she can't do it." I replied: "okay so if a client is disrespected and felt uncomfortable by a nail tech and didn't get what they asked for, they should pay for the service?". Steve was quiet. I told Steve I don't live in NY and don't plan to come back and would like my money back. He refused to give it to me. I don't even think Steve is the owner or manager. I do not recommend going to the salon. The owner isn't willing to do what's right or fair for the customers.

I have never left with my nails looking anything short of perfect! I always used to get the gel manicures until one day I saw a customer getting a powder manicure. I tried the powder and I've been hooked since! I will never get any other type of manicure. Since I made the switch, my nails have become much stronger, no chipping and my nails always look like I just walked out of the salon, even 3 weeks after getting them done! The salon is very clean, everyone who works there are always so friendly and it's the most relaxing way to end my day! I have to mention the 10 or 20 minute massage they offer while your old polish, wrapped in tin foil, is ready to be taken off. A dollar for every minute so the $10 dollars I pay for the massage is so well worth it! I have taken advantage of the spa pedicures they offer in addition to the standard pedicures! There are too many to list but the milk and honey and the lavender spa pedicures are the ones I usually getl!! Pampered is pretty much what you receive, for any of their services, so treat yourself and walk out feeling absolutely fantastic!!

I'm leaving 2 stars because I feel pretty confident that I would have had a much better experience with a different nail tech. He was very rushed and impatient with me for the entirety of the appointment. It felt like he was working against me or in spite of me or something. I did not get his name. My nails aren't horrible but they're definitely not what I asked for. Most notably, when he asked what length I wanted my nails cut to, I pointed on my pinky finger to generally what length I was going for. He just said "no, too long," and cut that nail considerably shorter than what I had requested. He didn't double check before making that cut, and the rest of the appointment went pretty much the same way. He was also passive aggressive (and just plain aggressive) in a way I haven't seen with other nail techs. Toward the end, one nail brushed up against his hand, which messed up some of the paint he had just applied. It happens. What I definitely didn't ask for was for him to then lecture me about how I need to keep my hands flat, don't bump into him, etc. As if I had done that on purpose. Also, the nails were $90. This employee is very talented and did a meticulous job on my nails. But like I said, it's just not what I asked for. I wish that he had been more accommodating and less (visibly and verbally) impatient with me. I feel really regretful that I came here and ended up paying so much for nails I kind of can't stand. If you plan on coming here just be aware of that. And maybe avoid this specific nail tech if possible.

Like I don't know what kind of topcoat you kept watering down or putting stuff in but if it wasn't good just get a new one stop being cheap so now I'm stuck with my nails looking like crap for a function I had today I will never come back and I will make sure everyone knows not to go there.
