Dined here for the first time recently and really enjoyed it. Apologies for not recalling our server's name - she was wonderful. Shared a pitcher of Sam Adams (not sure if local brew was available) - it was cold, fresh, and tasty. I had a Reuben sandwich and my wife enjoyed a Patty Melt. We shared an order of onion strings. Everything was delicious - well prepared and tasty. Prices were very fair and we felt the value was good. Definitely worth a try!!! read more

This place is a hit or miss depending on what day of the week you go. Last time I stopped I got a Reuben sandwich and it was very grizzly. The fries were greasy. The time before I got chicken tenders and they were good so can never tell if it's a good day or not. I do like the location and the history of I plan on giving them one more try. read more

We had a birthday event for 20+ people; I thought it would be a private room, but it was a section of a large room, but it was okay. The service was very good; we had two servers and they took good care of us. Our appetizers were okay, but not great. The entrees had mixed results from our guests: shrimp dishes were a hit, so were burgers, chicken tenders and steaks. Ten layer nachos were below average. We had a good time and will probably be back when we need to get our large group together in Lebanon again. read more

A delightful surprise! Stopped for lunch and enjoyed a delicious lobster roll with sweet potato fries and a fish sandwich with a basket of skinny onion rings. The service by Ciera was excellent. This was our first time visiting Sammy Bs for a celebration and will be the last. Food was absolutely disgusting, unacceptable, inedible. We waited 2 hours for prime rib that was ice cold, pulled from the freezer and set out to room temp before serving, the filet wrapped with bacon had been seared on the top but the bottom of the filet was still completely raw ( disgusting) stroganoff was not stroganoff not sure what the noodles and cream cheese was either way not stroganoff and do not get me started on the fish n chips, my husband said oh why did we not just go to Captain Ds and Arby's would have been $200 less and way better? Giving it a 2 Stars bc martinis were good, staff was so exhausted from having to take back other food to the kitchen, we decided to pay bill, tip the poor overworked server and leave. I am in love with this place. It has an amazing atmosphere with live music at times. I decided to sit on the patio my first time here and ordered the crabby dip for an appetizer. You can tell it's not imitation by the taste. I also ordered the Mac and cheese with lobster. First off, I really was expecting something smaller. The portion I got was so large that I have two sets of left overs. Also it was literally the best, creamiest Mac and cheese I have ever got. You do not get to pick your pasta type here, but I think they do that to keep lower cost. It was amazing regardless!! I'm sitting here two days later writing this asi sit at their brunch. If you come to brunch on Sunday, do it early. It fills up fast. I love all the southern foods and bottomless mimosas too. I totally recommend this place. I don't like food where presentation often gets more attention than taste, but his place hits a home run on both. I think you will find there is something for everyone's taste. Lots to choose from. They put a unique spin on traditional dishes, another thing I usually don't like. My server was very young, or maybe it's me who is very old, but she did a great job and made recommendations. Other than once asking for some more ice in my tea, I wanted nothing. We have eaten here a few times. We always sit the patio. The inside is beautiful but we usually come after golf and we aren't interested in offending anyone. Good beer selection. Hard liquor is rather pricey. I love the ribs. The artichoke fritters are amazing. Salmon salad is very good. I don't like the smoking on the deck. Very friendly staff. Please excuse my terrible camera work, but take my word when I tell you both dishes were OUTSTANDING! We live in Lebanon and for some reason don't come here enough. It is such a unique place with so much history. You walk in and take a step back in time, in a good way. It feels familiar, comfortable, original. The conversation is lively, you see a few people you haven't seen in a while and you take a seat and are presented with a vast menu. I have had just about everything on the menu over the years except the steak. I can say I would not hesitate to order anything again, but my go to is the trifecta-fried fish, shrimp and chicken tenders. I am not crazy so trust me when I tell you the fish and shrimp are as good as what you would get on the coast. I am not much on adult beverages but the resident barkeep is Mr. James Cason, truly a local legend, and even if you don't drink, make a point to meet him. Truly on the Mt. Sammy B's is probably my favorite spot in Lebanon for lunch. It's an old house which was turned into a restaurant, and has a quaint and comfortable vibe. It's a sit down restaurant, so you'll want to make sure you have a little bit of time on your hands, as it may take you a bit to get your food. I recommend sitting in the sun room area if that's available. Really friendly wait staff. Good service. Good food. The first few months they were open, they had an express menu for lunch, but now they have a new menu with an extensive offering ! My favorite thing to get here is the Athena Wrap.....a toasty warm wrap filled with turkey, goat cheese, asparagus, peppers, and some balsamic vingarette. Throw in some sweet potato fries with that, and I'm in heaven. Some of their other menu selections that I recommend are the: Strawberry Fields Salad, Reuben Sandwich, and Taco Salad. read more

One is a stretch. Nice place for the ambiance But that is where it stopped our meal for three was over $120. That is more then a full days wedges. Our drinks were just ice tea it was tasty but warm. The restaurant wasn't busy on a 2:30 sat afternoon Took a while for salads to come very wilted very unappealing and not great even the tomato which was small was warm. When the main course came my daughter had the chicken it was warm sitting on a warm sliced tomato (probably the best thing on the plate). Asparagus was nice. I had the not cooked warm mahi mahi not even salt no flavor other then raw (I don't like sushi) cold and over a bed of cold flavorless rice my asparagus was also nice. I might add 4 4 inch prices of asparagus for $10. My husbands fish and chips again ice cold. Fish was deep fried so long it was just crisp cold batter no fish. His fries were also ice cold. If I had seen the burgers I would of ordered that but some how missed that section of the menu. The waitress was pleasant but she was running the bar also and with people sitting in the bar area she didn't have time for us. This is the second time we tried this restaurant the first time wasn't much or any better Shame on you for over charging and under serving every thing. I might add that although the tea was the best thing it also was warm no ice. We work hard for our money and my social security check is $420. A month I just spent 1/3 in your restaurant on a meal we couldn't eat read more

So disappointed tonight (Wednesday, Nov 15th!) Drove out of the way, to dine here, again, as we LOVED it -before. It pains me to write this updated review. In a nutshell, Salty,salty,salty., Lame- awkward server. Crap Martini (Pomegranate flavor had a syrup like consisteny and o.t.t sweet) Chicken Marsala, had zero Marsala flavor or essence (more like boullion cubes added to water & fllour!) No joke. To top it all off, our server was clueless as to how to *resolve the botched martinis, and delivered our entrees by asking 'who has the chicken?' (both had chicken dishes, Agustus and Marsala---one was piping hot, the other cold!?!) Server hovered around the table, like she wanted to quickly clear our table or something, while we still had food on our plate. We don't know why, maybe anticipating her break, who knows. For all of the above reasons and a few more, I wouldn't reccommend. Dine at your own foolishness, as we did. $100 for a grab bag of sorts, which cook,server or bartender will get on any given night. read more

This place feels like home. I recently moved form northeastern PA. They're a gem in Sayre, PA named The Bre Marie which mirrors this place. It's in an old home, the food taste homemade and fresh, nice cozy bar where you can set and people will talk to you. My hubby and I had a late lunch here. It was delightful! The building is historic and beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. My husband had the patty melt and was very pleased that it was cooked medium just as he requested. I had the classic reuben and it was the perfect balance of tender corned beef and sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. It was grilled to perfection on marbled rye bread with just enough thousand island dressing. We also had a tasty crab dip and chips and finished off the meal with fried snickers tortillas with ice cream and whipped cream. I took half of my Reuben home and enjoyed it for dinner. Loved loved this hidden gem! My friends and I tried for the first time and will definitely be back. Three stars because the atmosphere was cool. It's extremely overpriced bar food. The chicken strippers were small strings of chicken and the fries were room temperature and somewhat soggy. My waiter was surly and loudly complaining with another staff member about how many tables he had. We have always had great service and food whether we are celebrating a special occasion or just dropped in for lunch. A must try!
