We're still fresh from our move and continuing to find local restaurants in the area. We've driven by Snow White Drive In many many times while exploring our new home area and this place is always busy! We decided to stop by around 5pm before they became too busy, which was a great idea. We sat ourselves inside and were greeted nicely by our waitress. Since this was our first time here, we went with a classic cheeseburger, mine with tots, husband with onion rings, I had a Coke Zero, and he had a butterfinger milkshake. We also ordered a side of okra and a mini bbq sandwich. I was amazed that a mini bbq sandwich was only $1.50! You can't find prices like that anywhere in restaurants these days! All "veggie sides" are $2.50 so I'll keep that in mind next time we visit since those prices aren't listed on the menu. The interior is run down and does need a good cleaning, especially the floors. It's a fun car-hop theme but needs a freshen-up for sure. The food came out SO quickly, less than 10 minutes. What I loved the most about the cheeseburger was that the onions, lettuce, pickles, and tomato were all fresh and crunchy, how it should be! My husband, who usually gives me his tomatoes because he doesn't like them, actually ate his! The okra was fine, not much spice to them and the bbq sandwich was dry and needed A1 sauce (provided on the table) which ended up being really good with it. The onion rings were perfect! The onion didn't come out of the breading like so many onion rings unfortunately do. The other nice thing we noticed is that the tipping portion was your choice of either $3, $6, or $9...none of that 15%, 20%, 25%, etc that we see so often. This made it a lot easier and less stressful. Overall, this is going to be our new "fast food" location now that I've sworn off of fast food chains, especially because you can order from your car at one of the stalls! Snow White has been on my bucket list for a very long time, over a decade! It's a classic diner opened in 1952. In fact, on Highway 70 running from Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean, this is the fourth oldest restaurant in continuous operation! I did weeks of research to figure that out. So Snow White is a really big deal! And I've always wanted to go! Well, I finally went. A whole team of employees working the front counter welcomed me inside. I wanted to sit outside but tried to order at the counter first. I was given a menu, directed to the tables outside, and told that someone would be right out to take my order. And I waited. And I waited. I wish they had let me put in an order inside! The smokers gave me a heavy dose of secondhand smoke. I read the entire menu from front to back. And I waited some more. People came and went. Patrons got their food. I was apparently invisible. And I had driven a LONG way from home, over an hour to get here, and over a decade of planning to visit someday. It was all for naught. Eventually, I left. It shouldn't take 20 minutes just to have someone acknowledge a customer, especially with a full staff - seriously no fewer than eight people working the counter inside - and a half-filled restaurant that wasn't exactly overwhelming the staff. It wasn't anywhere near the busy dinner house, off-peak for sure! One employee was handling a couple of cars waiting for food and that one table of smokers. They couldn't have one girl working the outside and eight working a half-filled dining room could they? I've said this before in my online reviews. I hate giving a one-star review when I haven't tasted the food. The rating should reflect the quality of the cuisine first and foremost. So this is only a temporary rating. If I ever make the one-hour trek to Lebanon again and risk going to Snow White in hopes of not being invisible, I'll update my review to properly reflect the food. read more

I've been eating at this Southern Meat & 3 since I was a kid. It's family owned and operated for about 75 years, so to say this is a local legend is an understatement. They get their meats from a local farm called Seven Cedars Buther Block which has a shop in the Lebanon Square. You can go in and eat or they offer Carhop service. Just pull up to the building and they come to your car and take your order then bring your food when it's ready and the food usually comes out quickly. It definitely has that hometown feeling with friendly staff and they have Hot Rod Car Shows on Saturday nights in the Summer-- Kid Rock has even done shows there before. They have a rotational Meat & 3 menu along with Baskets, Salads, Burgers, Sandwiches, Sides, Kids menu, Desserts and Handspun Milkshakes. Its gets busy during peak hours and they are closed on Sundays. It's a good little place to go for a Smashburger and Onion Rings or an awesome Pulled Pork Sandwich and that's what I get almost every time. Enjoy !!! read more

We'll be back! This was a fun little side trip for us and apparently, a lot of other people thought so, too. The curb service area was full--although it seemed like not everyone parked there were eating in their cars since they have table service inside. To get car service, you turn on your emergency flashers. We had a server come to us pretty quickly. The menu is online although some of the menu is on the windows of the building in front of you. The food was also delivered pretty fast. We enjoyed our pulled pork sandwiches. The sides were ok. The ice cream sundaes were huge! And very good. They locked the doors and shut down the hot food around 7:45 so get there well before closing! read more

Saturday, Dec. 6 - We had a party of 6. We arrived just before 7:00 p.m. Since it was cold, we wanted to sit inside. Had to wait several minutes for a table to open. We didn't get our meals until about 7:45. They close at 8:00. Once our meals arrived, they all were cold. I don't mean they were not hot, I mean they were cold. My daughter and SIL had been here previously and said this was definitely not like they had experienced before. Hopefully, this was just a one-off issue, but it left with little desire to visit again. read more

Since the first time I came here, the quality has dropped insanely.. I hate to say it because I've been around 5 times over the past 6 years and each time just gets worse. This is most likely my last time unless it's a last resort. Especially since the prices have gone insanely up, the quality is what matters more than anything. $13 for a slim Jim basket that is not worth it compared to what it used to be.. breaks my heart. The employees were great during a busy time, I have to compliment that. And the inside of the building is what I remember from my first time as well. But disappointed overall with the food. The bbq was super dry so I had to fix it up at home since I don't live far at all. I'm only going to post one updated picture because I don't want to put this business down bad, but I know they've gotten new owners not long ago and I hope they look into it. What a cool place!!! I came here with a group of friends for a quick bite to eat and we elected to sit at one of the tables outside. This is a casual, ol' reliable spot, that serves good burgers and delicious tots! I went with their cheese burger and ordered tots on the side. The tots were CRISPY and the burger was juicy. Happened upon this place while traveling home from Mooresville, NC because we didn't wanna stop at another fast food spot. Very cool place, a blast from the past if you will. We ate outside on a picnic table, but they have inside dining as well...and there were lots of people parked and eating. We all had hot dogs, I got the Big Dog - A big ol' beef hotdog covered with chili, cheese, slaw, onions, and mustard. I got mine with a side of tater tots. Man, it was tasty! I wish I got the Puppy Dog so I would have had room for an ice cream cone...maybe next time. Our server was super friendly and very nice. Not one mask on a single human who was inside working in the restaurant as well as no masks on the servers walking out and serving at peoples cars. That's careless. Besides that- The food was great! Instructions were not followed on what we wanted on our burger but it was still delicious. My husband loved the grilled ham and cheese. I enjoy an old drive thru diner. There is something to say about the memories I have as a kid driving up to the Dog & Suds , A&W or Frosted Mug. In my teenage years I recall working at Jack & Pat's 50's in Tinley Park Illinois. As a gearhead Friday & Saturday nights were a blast. We are talking American Graffiti stuff here. As to this location, I appreciate the service of the car hops to keep the old traditions alive. While the Mushroom Swiss burger was ok, I didn't expect anything more and received the expectations. The signature shake didn't wow me, it was just a vanilla shake with walnuts in it. The most entertainment was watching my bride or I trying to suck the walnut through the straw.
