The food was great and the margarita was cold, but terrible service! Our waitress never introduced herself, kept messing up our order, and took forever coming back. But took very well care of others round us....She didn't even check up on us for refills on our waters or to see how we were enjoying things...I did complain to one of the owners and I guess she did have a talk with her b/c when our waitress came back, she back with an bad attitude and said "I'm sorry you feel that way." She definitely ruin my first experience here.

Nice little location down by marina with exceptional and friendly employees. The device was incredible and refreshing. Great stop a bit off the highway but worth the stop to relax. They just put in an outdoor patio that is calling you all. Oh and their beans, WOW, you have to get an order of these. 10 stars on the beans.

Beautiful view! The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive. We had the carnitas tacos, regular burger, buffalo chicken sandwich and chips & queso. All of which were great, everyone was pleased and would order again. We had margaritas on the rocks with patron silver, the bartender did a great job making the drinks, he even added OJ to the margs without my requesting, which is my fav! We will absolutely be back! We love this place!

    Fish taco from heaven.

Hook line and sinker. Best fish taco in Texas. Crispy, creamy green salsa, a fresh lime ‍ three tacos to a plate left me so full and satisfied. I have high fish taco standards and these fish tacos slapped Burger in the background was also

10/10 recommend not only for the food but for the environment. I've been here two times within the span of a week. The owners go above and beyond with hospitality and really make you feel like family there. The staff was also very timely and kind. It's cool seeing all the regulars hang out like old friends. The food is solid and especially loved their fries with amazing crisp and potato amount that hit the spot after a day on the lake. The view of the lake is great and convenient location wise being next to the dock. We got the mushroom burger, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, chicken wings, chips and queso, tacos, and quesadilla. I couldn't get pictures of it all because some people got too excited and ate it haha. Will be back:)

My favorite bar to go to! I absolutely love the bartenders and everything they do! It feels like HOME when you're at Sammy's on the lake, I grew up here on Eagle Mountain Lake and this gives you the best vibes. Everyone that works here knows the history of the lake and is local. The bartenders Cadie and Krysta are the best! They will remember you and your drinks every time you come in! Karaoke nights, country singers and all! This is our favorite bar to come to especially in the summer amazing lake views !

Always consistent, friendly staff, awesome views. Great place to hang out.and watch a game.

    Nice view of the sunset!!

Small local dive bar with pretty decent bar food. Cheap drink specials and awesome live bands throughout the week/weekends. I'd recommend this spot to friends if you're looking for something low key and budget friendly.

I had the absolute best brisket relleno I have ever had. With the ranchero sauce! Amazing!

Always a great time at Sammy's! I had a brisket Chile relleno this time with ranchero sauce and it was the best I have ever had no doubt!

I was able to get a photo of the sunset!

First of all, this place was super crowded but certainly worth the wait! I had recently heard about this place and saw beautiful lake view sunset photos that drew me in that much more. I was happy to know that they had an upstairs patio area that was much quieter and more spacious for our big party. I had heard that the tacos were a must try which were pretty good. My favorite was actually the ceviche. I normally eat shrimp only but I gave it a try. It was amazing! We also tried their chips and queso, cheese fries, and hamburgers. All food was amazing and I hate that I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of the food. SMH! Now, the only downfall some may think is horrible would be the wait time for food and at the bar area for alcoholic drinks. The place was overcrowded and understaffed. I completely understand how things are right now so I was okay with the wait. The best part was taking the party downstairs to the live music area! They had a duo singer and violinist that were truly amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone to at least try it out. I know we will return!

What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

I ordered take out and sat at the bar while I waited for my entree.Ordered two drinks while I waited, got the one at the top of the menu and a skinny margarita and they tasted exactly the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they got the job done and were fine. Food: I got the enchiladas three ways with steak. You can take the regular three sauces or choose just one if you'd like. Green sauce is the best, white sauce is pretty good, and the red mole is fine but I wish I would have swapped it out with the spicy almost (orange) sauce that comes with the seafood enchiladas. That sauce looks so good! My partner did not like the red sauce at all, again I thought it was fine just not amazing like the other two. Beans and rice are good, nothing special. Nothing wrong with the chips and salsa just run of the mill. Other thoughts: I wish I had just ate my food at the bar instead of ordering take out. Bar seats are comfortable, views of a tv for anyone sitting at the bar, and it's just a nice comfortable atmosphere in there. The hostess and bar tenders I interacted with provided great service.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
