I was meeting a friend for lunch at a restaurant a couple of miles away but when we arrived there was a sign on the front door saying that they were out of town for a couple of days. But not to worry, I opened the yelp app and saw Sammy's was nearby and asked my friend how Mexican food sounded, it was okay with my friend so we headed on over. Upon entering you will find yourself in the clean and colorful dining area. There is seating for about 32 here. The interior is done up in red, green, and white with tile work at the front counter that spells out Burritos and Tacos. There is a menu behind the counter and several photos of a few of the items attached to the glass. I decided on a carnitas burrito with a jamaica to drink. There is a salsa bar right next to the order window so I grabbed one of the small paper plates, put some chips on it and got some salsa. I took a seat and my friend soon fallowed. After munching on the chips for several minutes I saw that our orders were ready so I went to the pickup window and was handed the tray. My burrito was very good, hot and lots of tender pork all the way through. It was served with a dollop of Sour Cream and Guacamole. I had been pretty hungry before I started but the burrito took care of that. I wish I could remember exactly what my friend had ordered but he was very happy with it. Sammy's worked out really well for a surprise last second backup. My friend lives nearby and he said he wold be returning, if I find myself in the area again I may return as well. First off ..........Yesssssssssss they have the bomb ass micheladas!! I love coming here because they are tasty from the rimmer to the mix. They keep it OG. Love the campechanas and the chile verde. Been coming here every sunday for as long as i can remember and they have never dissapointed and the service is always on point. If you havent been here you are missing out. If you like micheladas definitely try theirs. My husbans orders thw chile verde and he loves it. They also have a jukebox, so youcan play music while you eat. Sammy's is a great place for authentic Mexican food. Everything is so good it's hard to choose. My personal favorites are their Chile Relleno burritos, tacos(all of them), and their Chile Colorado. If you want the real thing go see Sammy's. read more
