I went in and paid in cash. I came back after while because I wanted to make sure my food was ready. I sat in the car and waited until they did not have a line. When I walked in the woman told the man my order and walked to the back, the man delayed and called the man's order that was parked next to me--some grits who came in after me. The order person kept digging in the bag and finally said that the woman had not put in the pop which she asked me about before I left. At this point, I do not have a pop; the food is still sitting on the counter and the woman is like he could have gotten you the pop. Well, he did not and I am still waiting. I asked for a refund. The woman refused to give it to me--& still no pop. I gave the food to the older woman behind me and her kid. Left the money and the food. The issues---she wanted to teach me a lesson. I love the breakfast selection. In and out service. Friendly staff. I love that they offer grits and rice.

It's an ok place, not some where I would frequently go. I have there breakfast sandwich which was nothing to tasty and one I could have cooked better myself. The prices are really cheap. My food was correct, delicious and the delivery driver was on point, so I decided to give the driver an extra tip for being nice, on time and delivering exactly what I paid for. I love supporting businesses that take customer service seriously and puts customers first. The breakfast was very good and the fish dinner I ordered was lightly battered and full of flavor and very tender just how I like my fish. Nice little place, the price for 2 specials including fries and drink is $15.something, far cry from McD's but about as standard fare as you can get. Service was good which is a nice change of pace in these types of places in this hood. I really dig that one place up the other way on 95th, but this place is aight by me. This definitely is a local greasy spoon BUT the service, staff, cleanliness of this restaurant is awesome. It totally came in handy for my pizza puff fix. I will definitely come back to this place. They offer free Wi-Fi for customers and when walking in they have a sign posted "pull pants up before entering". This place has been around since 1985. You can get a decent greasy burger, hot dog, gyro, etc. The fries are usually really good and the prices are pretty cheap, but that matches the quality of the food. This place is open for breakfast and I will say the breakfast is pretty good. I have had a great turkey sausage and egg sandwich which was tasty and hit the spot. Just imagine! I ordered a bacon omelet, grits and raisin toast. To my shock, the omelet came in the same to-go plate as the grits; understand that this to-go plate doesn't even have compartments. With my grits running over my omelet, getting it soggy; I had to carefully separate them and my grits still had vegetable oil in it. Aside that, the grits tasted like it was drowned in salt. Sammy's food is respectable but they are way too expensive. Last time I stopped in I got a corned beef sandwich (it was small at that) and a chili(no fries or drink) and paid $10.00! I'd be willing to pay the ten bucks for a huge corned beef and chili but not for what they gave me. The grilled chicken on pita w/swiss cheese is good. I'd be willing to give them more stars if their prices were more competitive or a better value for the money. read more
