Okay so let's start off with the good - very cool place, great addition to Orlando. Love the decor, worker was nice and let us sample, ice cream was delicious! Now the reason for the -1 star. First, its mills and the parking on a Tuesday was rough. This is a general issue, not specific to them but we had to drive around the lot for 10 minutes, then we decided to leave and look elsewhere ended up having to walk a decent amount. It was frustrating and inconvenient if you're meeting with others. Second, I'm kind of confused as to why if someone is ordering a normal scoop or soft serve we have to get a number and wait, I've never seen an ice cream place do that. I totally understand for speciality items but was a little surprised for ours - the place was packed so a lot of people were standing around waiting with their numbers. Overall it hit the spot and in my opinion was worth the hype; just make sure you're not in a rush!
Even on a Wednesday Sampaguita Was packed. While it's off of Colonial, there is a parking lot in the back of the plaza. Despite there being a parking lot, we weren't able to find parking and we had to park on the street. For the middle of the week, I was surprised that there was a line out the door. It took about 15 minutes before we were serviced, but the staff behind the counter was working hard. Sampaguita has unique flavors, such as Ube. They were very accommodating and they let us try a bunch of different flavors. I was surprised because every flavor that I tried wasn't too sweet like ice cream typically is. My friend and I ordered the Ube brownie with Ube whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. It was good but also not too sweet. Personally I think the ice cream actually wasn't sweet enough. With the hype that Sampaguita gets, I was expecting to be blown out of the water, but it was a little underwhelming. I think there's better ice cream in Orlando. The dining room is really cute and there's actually a lot of tables. It's very comfortable to sit there and hang out with friends.
I need to start this off by saying their ube milkshake is incredible. I got it the first time I went here and this time and I don't think I could ever not get it. Thankfully my husband's willing to try new things so I usually have him get something different so I can try it too. I even got my youngest hooked on the ube milkshakes. I let her try mine last time and she regretted not getting it. So we both got it this time. I love that they let you try the different ice creams while you're getting ready to check out. We've also gotten their ube brownie and their ube oatmeal cream pie. I prefer the oatmeal cream pie over the brownie but I'm not really a big brownie fan. The service here is always really friendly. They are happy to help. It's not a very big store so it's better to go on the off hours. We went around 3:30 today and we only had another family in front of us. The last time we came was around 6 p.m. and the line was out the door. There is parking usually behind the store if you go in off hours so you don't need to park on colonial. I love how the store is decorated. The halo halo had flan on it and I wish I could just get that as a dessert. It was so good!! You really can't go wrong here!
Love this gourmet ice cream place near downtown Orlando. Serving Filipino inspired flavored ice cream. They let you taste it with small sample. Then you order at the end of the counter on what you want. If undecided- advised to do the 5 flight sampler. Our favorite is the ube cookie and cream. You can also get halo halo - a Filipino treat. They also serve pastries and cookies. If you are a local, sign up for their reward program. They also do ice cream cakes.
Delicious desserts and baked goods. I love ube and this place definitely has plenty of that. My favorites are the oatmeal ube creampie and the ube milkshake. I also tried the halo halo which was unique with a bunch of flavors and textures. The staff is always friendly and helpful and give out as many samples of ice cream as it takes to make your decision. It is pretty small inside, but decorated nicely. It can get pretty busy and the line tends to extend outside. I'll definitely be making it back here again.
Soy Sauce Butterscotch is a must try, super cute date spot that I highly recommend. My girl had bought me some ice cream and we found ourselves going back 30 minutes later to try the menu. To say their favors are unique and delicious is a disservice to, their take on these flavors and how amazing their execution was! 10/10 one of the best spots in Orlando.
Craving exotic ice cream this day. Opted for the mini cone flight. These are 5 mini cones with 1 scoop of any flavors (5) you choose. $11 I chose the Sampaguita, Ube cookie and cream, Buko pandan, Mango peach pie, Champorado. My favorite is still the Sampaguita. It has a very unique taste. Staff here are nice and helpful. The merch here are cute but quite pricey especially clothing. I love the cartoon pinay mascot.
Very fun place to stop. It's got a very neat ambiance and is a great place to meet up with friends. The food is very good. I ordered their classic Halo Halo and it was quite good, although not my personal favorite. I was not a huge fan of the flavor combinations but I know other people who loved it so I will let you be the judge of it. Their other ice cream flavors were good and quite unique, particularly the Pineapple Cake. Service was slow. I get that it is a busy place, but even then, it was slow and employees (although nice), seemed to not prioritize efficiency. A couple people left the line because of the wait. Overall, it's a fun stop. But it's expensive and some of their desserts are definitely an acquired taste. I'm sure the line is quick sometimes, but it was not for us.
Sampaguita sits in a stretch of restaurants that honestly are all the pride and joy of Mills 50. This is the place you bring your bit city relatives to show them that Orlando has a competitive food scene. Sampaguita does NOT miss. You can get their traditional scooped ice cream in amazing Filipino fused flavors like my absolute favorites, soy butterscotch or banoffee; you could do their soft serve (ube vanilla swirl with ube sauce if you're nasty); you could grab baked goods or even take a milkshake to go. The line may be out the door and halfway around the block but they move through it like CHAMPs. Whatever you do, have a back up plan to eat your ice cream in your car, because sitting is limited at best.
Popular ice cream place with the locals - people were lining outside on a Saturday night but the line wasn't all too bad. The 5 flavors I chose for my personal ice cream flight were: ube cookies & cream (personal favorite), ube latte, champorado, mango peach pie, and coffee & biskwit. These were served with miniature sugar cones and the cutest mini scoops of ice cream.
After a lackluster dinner around the corner, stopping here was an improvement. On a Thursday night, it was moderately busy, yet not packed. Ordering was a smooth process, aided by cordial staff. My family was able to grab a table and soak up the tropically chic decor. I couldn't resist getting the Birthday Mamon since my personal holiday was the next day. I added coconut flakes which added another level of pleasing texture. The cake bits are a hidden treasure as you eat it. My kids got the Ube Brownie Sunday. Since I also added the Housemade Ube Whipped Cream to mine, we all ended up with purple lips, a badge of sweet honor. I will definitely return to try the Halo Halo and Sampaguita, the Filipino crowning jewels. This is a Yelp celebrated business for good reason. Go support this local gem!
99 flavors and that ain't enough! Filipino-own ice cream parlor in the orlando-area. I never knew until this podcast mentioned their favorite ice cream places. So glad to have the opportunity to this place out. I ended up getting their halo halo special. It was very city like to me compare to how the country side would serve. BUT what took the cake was the ice flavors! Yaaaaasss!! Filipino mango, and coconut panda was sooo tasty! My group also grabbed a scope and tried the sample cones. Flavors varied from aa simple as vanilla to halohalo. They switch it up weekly! They also sell merchandise for any fans and tourist!. I shall be back!
I heard about this place from TikTok and since I was in Orlando on vacation, we decided to stop by. Located on a busy street. Parking located in the back but can get busy. We went at night closer to 6-7pm. The line was out the door but the wait wasn't too long. A lot of choices of Filipino traditional ice cream. We ordered the ube brownie sundae and halo halo. OMG!! It was so good.
I can never get enough Sampaguita! Seriously, this is the number one spot that I take visitors and guests, while also frequenting myself just because I like it. If you want to try Southeast Asian or unique flavor combinations, I cannot recommended Sampaguita enough. Whether youre going for a flight or just a scoop, you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. My favorite flavor is Buko Pandan, but the Soy Sauce Butterscotch is a close favorite! Don't let the name fool you, it's very butterscotch forward, but with a rich umami undertone. Also, this ice cream parlor is the most beautiful shop in Orlando. I want whoever designed it to be my interior decorator. The art deco inspiration is fresh, bright, and fun while also being super modern. The only drawback is how crowded this place gets on weekends -- I'd recommend going on a weeknight if possible because it was empty when went on a random Tuesday. The parking lot is also pretty crowded, so I'd recommend street parking instead. Overall, Sampaguita is a worthwhile experience and I cannot say enough nice things about it. read more
I was out with some friends, chowing down on some delicious Asian food around Mills 50, and we wanted some dessert. Luckily, this place just opened up, and the attention and the hype was palpable in the Orlando air, so we had to check it out. It's a cute little shop, with very limited space for seating, but they did a good job with the limited space they do have. Beautiful, IG-worthy stuff everywhere you look. A lot of style, but was there substance? Yes. Very yes. When you walk into an ice cream shop, and you see over a dozen flavors, you want to try all those flavors, right? Obviously you can't, or else society will reject you, but Sampaguita lets you come pretty darn close with their six-scoop flight! I saw that and my face became that emoji with the hearts for eyes. You know the one. So I obviously jump on that. I don't remember what flavors I got because it was so long ago, forgive me, but I remember two of the flavors I had. Champorado (Dark chocolate ice cream with chocolate covered puffed rice crunch and sweet condensed milk swirl) and Soysauce butterscotch (A brown sugar and vanilla ice cream with umami notes of soy sauce and a hint of Maldon salt). Bangin, bangin flavors. Dark chocolate with that deep cocoa flavor, lightened up with that sweet condensed milk. It was like a yin-yang. So good. And that Soysauce was not a hard taste on the tip of the tongue, that's all brown sugar. It's that nice, umami note that hits the back of your tongue that make this not just an ice cream flavor, but an ice cream experience. Very nice. The other four flavors were good, too. It's just that too much time has passed. But my only critique is that the serving vessel that the flight comes in was way too shallow and way too cramped. All the flavors touch and mix and mingle, and if you don't eat it all with some fervor, it will melt all over your table. So be aware. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit here, and I can't wait to return to try all the other flavors! read more
Sampaguita is a Filipino ice cream haven that I stumbled upon during a pop-up event at Kaya. Let me start by raving about their Ube cookies. They are so soft and have the perfect flavor. I want one like right now After my first try I knew I had to share with someone. I ended up buying a bunch for my friend's birthday, and she was also obsessed. I always love coming to this place. I've come here several times now and love it every time. I tried the dairy ube soft serve with coconut flakes this time around and it was so creamy and full of ube flavor and the texture and flavor of the coconut flakes added to how delicious this dessert is. I've tried the soy sauce butterscotch ice cream before too and as someone who's a fan of salted caramel flavors, I loved that ice cream too. I've also gotten a mystery bag before and tried the strawberry sorbet, ube ice cream, and champorado ice cream and those were all very delicious as well. The customer service is top notch, everyone there is very nice and accommodating and friendly. The vibe there is casual and chic, it's nicely decorated and it's open seating. I only wish there was more seating available as it's been packed sometimes. read more

Service is amazing, we got to taste the different flavors before we dug in. Lucky to have found parking at the back area. Ube latte had just enough sweetness and not overwhelming. Coffee ice cream ont he other hand was not a stand out. Had the soy sauce butterscotch and that was good. I tried the pineapple cake and that was good too. Tried the jackfruit chili nut and it had langka than the spicy kick. The most popular is their "sampaguita" flavor. I wonder why (heehee) but she said, it made of almond milk and jasmine flavor. Sampaguita is a small, white and very fragrant jasmine flower in the Philippines. Oftentimes it is made into leis and it's delicate fragrance associated with love and devotion. I love to support small businesses and of course, and this one is run by my fellow Filipinos, so it is natural that I would come out and support. Since it is a newer shop typically lines are out the door. A great problem if you ask me. I just happened to come by when there was a lull and grabbed the shot that I did BUT other times I have gone I have had to wait 15-20 minutes to get my ice cream. Seating is limited to small tables and both times I went I just ate my ice cream standing by the street. It was ok for me but if you have small kids it might be challenging. Maybe a bench outside might be nice or a standing bar table which doesn't take up too much room could work right in front of the shop. They have a lot of novel flavors which I enjoy since I am a foodventurer. I went for more avante garde flavors and paired the jackfruit chili nut with the soysauce butterscotch. Not disgusting I promise you! Quite the opposite! Try it and see for yourself! I am a huge ice cream fan and I frequent all the top ice cream shops in the area: Kelly's, Salt and Straw, and now Jeni's (yay! Finally came to Orlando). For my tastes it's not the most creamy BUT I did enjoy the novel flavors they offered. I would like to see them come up with some seasonal flavors to garner repeat customers. I gave this shop one less star only because of the inefficiencies in their production line. If they were to serve the ice cream as it was ordered the line would go much faster. Time is gold! I'm purposefully putting this in my review so that hopefully, the owners will take a look at it once my Yelp Elite status is restored. There is a reason why this has five stars and it is simply because it is deserved. Wow. Sampaguita is an ice cream place featuring Filipino flavors, and everything I tried was amazing in its own right. Our stand outs that we ended up getting were the buko pandan, guava cheesecake, and sampaguita (like a floral lychee flavor). My personal favorite was the guava cheesecake-- SO distinct, unique, and something I'll remember for a long time. I also got to try some of my cousin's halo halo, which came with the ube soft serve on top. AMAZING. Honestly I could have had a whole jug of this ube soft serve and been happy. The halo halo had a whole bunch of stuff in it-- no idea what all of it was, but it was delicious and went well together. The corn flakes were a nice touch. It comes in a long skinny cup, so it was difficult to get to the jelly at the bottom, but they do provide you with super long spoons so you can scoop it all out. We came by when they first opened, so I'm not sure how busy it gets at night, but while we were there it was decently empty. There's so much seating, and the decor is really cute. If you walk toward the back, there are booth options, and it's all very diner chic. This is definitely going on the must go back list. read more
FINALLY... I had a chance to to stop by to try out this dessert spot after missing out for months on end after their grand opening... and it did not disappoint ya'll! A Filipino inspired ice cream shop.... who woulda thunk such a combo was needed in our lives. When first arriving... there was an ample amount of parking in the back of the plaza. The decor was very aesthetically pleasing... with bright signage and beautiful plants decorating the quaint little seating area. The aroma was out of this world... it literally smelt like someone was baking a cake in there... it smelt delicious! For the ice cream flavors, there were so many to choose from.... Flavors that are unique, and that has not been done anywhere else... or at least not done as well! I had the chance to try the Ube Latte, Pineapple Cake and Guava Cheesecake and I truly enjoyed each and every one of them! The ice cream was soooo smooth and creamy! My hands down favorite had to be the Ube Latte... it was just mind blowingly good! The ladies helping us were also very kind and patient! Since it was my first time at the shop they allowed me to try out a few different flavors before even making a decision. They were also super knowledgeable of the menu and gave such great recommendations! Overall, I had such a great first experience at this new ice cream shop. It honestly is such a fresh perspective on a dessert classic... which I felt was much needed in the Central Florida area. No wonder they are ranked one of the top ice cream shops in the US! The flavors at Sampaguita are so delicious!! There's something for everyone. My fiancée and I went for ice cream tonight (Monday) and we loved everything we ordered! The service was lovely and they helped navigate the options and the interior is extremely well done. As a self-proclaimed vegan ice cream connoisseur, I was stoked to see that the Greenery Creamery opened a sister location in the Mills 50 area. Even months after opening, Sampaguita is quite busy, and I can understand why! I opted for the vegan soft serve swirl, which is half ube and half vanilla. It truly tastes like classic soft serve! The ube flavor is subtle, but I loved the fun pop of color! The environment of Sampaguita is top-notch for an ice cream shop. The interior is beautifully designed and makes you want to stay a while. Due to the continuing popularity of Sampaguita, be mindful of the fact that you may have to wait for a table or take your ice cream to go. read more

Truly a fantastic ice cream shop! I love that the focus is on Filipino and other Asian flavors. Definitely makes for a very unique and special experience. The people working here are fantastic and provide some of the best service around. So patient and helpful in helping you decide what flavors to get. Finally, the ambiance is fantastic. This was so delicious. This was an explosion of flavor! I can't even begin to describe my surprise when I bit into corn flakes! That definitely brought me back to my childhood. The coconut slices and combination of flavors were just perfect. I'm so glad I tried this one. read more
Yay! I finally made it to this Pinoy owned ice cream shop! Super,super cute and they had a lovely selection of ice cream to choose from. I was so thrilled that they had more than 2 non-dairy flavors to choose from. I ended up with the Mango Float in a regular cone. DEFINITELY a must try. read more
There was a line out the door! And i'm so glad I waited in it. The line went by fast so we were able to order in no time. All the options sounded super delicious. It was almost too difficult to choose. No wonder they have a six scoop flight on the menu. I tried the Keso Guava Cheesecake, Mango Peach Pie, and the Ube Latte flavors before making a choice. I ended up getting two scoops, one of the keso guava cheesecake and one of the mango peach pie. They were both equally delicious! Next time I want to get a Ube Latte shake. This place is a vibe. It was just what I needed after playing a few hours of beach volleyball. The smell of delicious waffle cones hits you as soon as you open the door. Everything tasted so good. I went for the traditional, classic sampugita flavor which is a lovely mix of almond and vanilla flavors. I will definitely be back for the mango sorbet. read more

What an Instagrammable ice cream spot! We parked in the back, and walked in through the long corridor. It was so beautiful inside, from the plants to the tiles on the wall to the wallpaper, everything was just gorgeous! It is very narrow so beware, if you are bringing a stroller in. The ice cream samples are limited to four, so that's good to know. In my opinion, they are a little over priced for the amount of what you receive. (The only reason I took a star off) hubby got one scoop and I got two and our total was $17 something. However, it is absolutely amazing! I tried the mango, the guava, the Sampaguita and the pineapple cake. They were all equally delicious and had different flavor combinations to suit any palette. I don't think the scoops are large enough to fit the price, but the cone is absolutely amazing. They make the waffle cones fresh in the house and you can smell it upon opening the door. It was extremely crowded so it does not seem like they are losing any business. They are in such a prime location, next to a Mamak, that you can go to eat dinner before and then go there for dessert. Great date spot and very cool concept. They also have soft serve! Would go back to try a shake or sundae! Stop by and try it out! read more
A great alternative if you don't want the usual classic ice cream flavors. I had so much fun trying some of them and I will definitely be back for more as they have such a variety and other desserts as well! The interior made me feel as if I was in Palm Springs! Came here for ice cream. I love the unique asian flavors they offer. I got the pandan and it was good. I wish it was creamier. We also tried the milo s'more's one. Didn't really taste the milo flavor. Also quiet experience for a tiny scoop. The store was super cute and had a decent amount of seating. Service was good. I've been here a few times now and this ice cream place is one of my favorites in Orlando and the absolute best at bringing Filipino flavors in high quality creamy form. Sampaguita jasmine being the national flower of the Phillipines being the namesake of this location is also accompanied by a floral sampaguita flavor with lychee jelly available that pairs well with many other decadent flavors like Ube Latte, Guava Cheesecake, Banoffee Pie, and more. Scoops are a little on the smaller side for the price but always a packed swanky atmosphere that pairs well at the end of any dinner on Mills 50. Great unique flavors and definite high-quality. Sundaes and Halo Halo are available as well! read more
This dessert spot has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit. I tried their famous Halo Halo, and it did not disappoint. My only feedback is that the Halo Halo lacked the traditional red sweet beans, and the portion was a bit small for $10, leaving me wanting more. My boys ordered the Champorado ice cream, and they both enjoyed it. The service was great, and the place was very clean. All three of us agreed that we'd definitely come back. Loved everything about Sampaguita! I was in Orlando for work and took a taxi straight from the airport to check it out, and it was totally worth it. I got the mini flight which was perfect for tasting 5 out of the many delicious flavors they offer. I got the Champorado, Rocky Road, Ube Pandan, Mango Pie and the signature Sampaguita, which turned out to be my favorite, although I loved them all. They had so many more flavors and sweet treats that I wish I could've tried. The space itself is super cute, welcoming and they've got plenty of seating inside. I loved the tropical vibe; very instagram-able. There was a line out the door but service was quick and staff was kind and accommodating. They also have the cutest Sampaguita merch featuring artwork by Alex Cabal available for purchase. They also had a (very clean) bathroom, as well as a lot for parking in the back of the building. read more
Went here on a Wednesday night and was surprised how busy it was! We were able to find a spot in the parking lot and a table did open not long after we got our ice cream. The place is super cute inside. There's quite a bit of seating, but it can get pretty busy. My husband and I shared a brownie sundae and my friend got the halo halo. We got our orders quickly. The brownie was delicious and the perfect consistency- not too cakey. There were so many ice cream flavors that I wanted to try. We enjoyed the ube latte flavor. Boy, oh boy! If you are looking for a unique and delicious ice cream stop, look no further! We stopped by Sampaguita yesterday and I am still thinking about the ice cream we tried! First of all, all the employees we interacted with were amazing! They were super patient with us as we navigated through the various flavors they offered and sampled a few. As far as unique flavors go, Sampaguita has loads of them. Definitely don't be afraid to ask about the flavors and try a few to make sure you are getting a flavor you like! However, every flavor we sampled tasted amazing so it really just comes down to which flavor matches your taste best! We ended up getting the Soy Sauce Butterscotch and Sampaguita flavors. The Soy Sauce Butterscotch is ahhhmazing. If you like butterscotch, you have to try this flavor. I was so amazed at how deep of a butterscotch flavor this ice cream had. I wouldn't say you get a prominent flavor of soy sauce, but I think the soy sauce just helps to deepen the butterscotch flavor. Sampaguita is a almond vanilla ice cream with hints of jasmine and lychee. I am not a huge almond flavor person, but my boyfriend raved about this flavor and kept talking about it for the rest of the day. It is a really layered flavor and all the different flavors work really well together. The store itself is much bigger than you would think, and they have lots of tables available! Once you order, they give you and number and bring the ice cream to your table. It has such a fun vibe and the decorations make you feel really cozy and relaxed. A MUST try ice-cream spot in Orlando! They serve such unique ice-cream options, inspired by the flavours of the Philippines. This spot was jam packed when I came (10-minutes before close) but they were still accommodating customers. The service was fast and the staff were polite and friendly. The ambiance itself has such a great aesthetic! Awesome photo spot to take with your friends or significant other. The palm leaf wallpaper with hints of other contrasting colours gives off a cozy, fun, summer vibe--even in the middle of winter! Come check this place out! I have heard about this place as well as the sister ice cream place, Greenery Creamery, and have been meaning to try this during one of my trips to Orlando and finally made it. Not once, but 3 times visited within a week and ordered halo halo 4 times! The ice cream flavors were so good, so creamy- even sorbets and vegan options were not lacking in texture and flavor! The halo halo does not contain the typical, sweet beans which I truly did not miss as they make their halo halo with jellies, strips of jackfruit and coconut, rice krispies, corn flakes, shaved ice, flan, a nice heap full of house-made ube or vanilla ice cream - in my case a swirl and a drizzle of ube syrup. I have been meaning to check out this place for a few weeks now and was finally given the opportunity to do so! My bf and I usually go to Mamak for dinner so this is right next door and wanted some dessert! They had many flavors to choose from. The staff working was so helpful and let us try a few different flavors before we finally decided on what we wanted. I wouldn't recommend going with a big group the seating isn't set for big groups. But overall not a bad spot! But since it's still somewhat new there's a crowd so be aware and parking in that area isn't easy to find read more
When it comes to ice cream, I don't normally play favorites, but Sampaguita is serving lewks and scoops like no other. I love all the Filipino inspired flavors, and if you haven't tried halo halo yet in your life, it's time to cross that off the bucket list here. Besides that, you can't go wrong with any flavors, my favorite is Guava cheesecake & Ube latte double scoop waffle cone ($8.50). Don't come here expecting some basic vanilla flavor (they do have plain vanilla though) because you'd be missing out on trying the best ice cream flavors in town! Sampaguita is a Filipino-inspired ice cream shop that delivers bold, rich flavors that brings me back to my childhood. Pictured here is a cup of two flavors: Ube Latte and Keso Guava Cheesecake. A-MA-ZING!!! I love ube and cheese so I hope to see an ube and cheese flavor one day :) Catch them at local markets! So far I have tried their regular ube, pandan, and champorado.
