A service truck with all of the advertising for Flavor Chef Catering was driving extremely erratically, well over the speed limit, and was tailgating me to the point that I was worried they would hit me. I was turning into my residential area with my signal on when the driver of this truck tried to split the lanes and almost caused an accident. When you have all of your advertising on a panel truck, you need to understand that that's just as important as having a good or bad product. I would never use this company and I would make sure that if I ever have the chance I would let people know not to use them either. Driving so erratically that they almost caused an accident is more damaging than a bad meal.

Then an ad for Tisoy Curryative Cuisines popped up on my Instagram feed & I am so glad it did! From the very first message, Matthew the owner was super responsive & made the whole process so easy. He got back to me within 24 hours, his pricing fit our budget perfectly, & he even reached out to our venue on his own to confirm everything was good to go before we even booked. No issues whatsoever. It also meant so much to me to hire a Filipino owned business that actually knows this food rather than some generic catering company just claiming they could pull it off. On the wedding day Tisoy completely exceeded my expectations. They served lumpia during cocktail hour in the cutest little appetizer dishes with sweet chili sauce & honestly it tasted exactly like my mom's recipe. I never got to do a tasting beforehand so I was a little nervous but the lumpia recipe was perfect. Our guests were obsessed. The buffet setup was gorgeous & their staff served at the line which was great for portion control & kept the line moving fast. The star of the night was the whole roasted lechon. It was absolutely beautiful & cooked to perfection. We did a lechon cutting photo instead of a cake cutting & it came out so good. We had guests who flew in from the Philippines & even they said they could tell it was cooked by Filipinos. That honestly says it all. The staff bussed all the tables as dinner wrapped up & then came back out at 9pm with a late night lumpia snack that everyone went crazy for. The next morning I woke up & Tisoy had already posted a reel of our wedding on Instagram. I wasn't expecting that at all and it was such a sweet & impressive touch. They also did not slice the limes ahead of time and said "we didn't know how you would use them." With my hands full, I had to ask a guest to help me slice them. They were just for tacos, so there shouldn't have been any question of how to slice them beforehand. SHADY BILLING: They asked me repeatedly to pay the balance and I reminded them that we had already settled this beforehand. They said I had not, there was a back and forth, and upon checking text messages she was surprised to see that we had sent confirmation of payment prior. She said "I don't remember receiving this and verifying the charge." If I hadn't already confirmed with my husband, I could have been double charged unfairly. We definitely won't be ever using them again!! They caused unnecessary stress on what was supposed to be a happy day with food taken care of.

We also had Jennifer and Smokey mountain do our water service, champagne pour, cake cutting, and bar service. All of her staff arrived on time and ready to go. They had simple yet beautiful place settings and had everything set up at the exact time they said they would. The bartenders were great! Nice, friendly, and followed any requests I had for how we wanted our bar to be ran for the event. We received numerous compliments from our guests about how good our food was. The food was served buffet style by servers in chaffing dishes that kept everything nice and warm. They cooked all the meat on site on a giant trailer sized barbecue right in the backyard!
