I've always liked this Sam's Club and the best part is the café because who doesn't like having a snack while shopping. Anyway I was in the other day and I went to the café to get me something to eat and the associate Sean Savoy was very nice and helpful. He guided me through the menu and helped me decide what I wanted. He was very friendly and out going. 10/10 rating for good customer service. read more

Wanted to put a special shut out to the employee Sean, that works at the Cafe inside the Bangor Maine Sams Club , if it wasn't for him actually showing good customer service and noticing I was wanting a long time for my slices of pizza at the scan and go due to people that ordered a full pizza after me ordering my slices but they get theirs first, I would have been having some bad feelings towards the cafe and wouldn't have gone back again but he showed extreme sympathy for my extra long wait and was rly caring unlike the other workers that knew and said nothing read more

I went down there this morning with a tire that had developed a slow leak. The service person in the tire department told me they were too busy to do anything about it. I am a Plus member and have bought all my tires there for years. Evidently, they don't honor their warranty policy. read more

Extremely disappointed with the cashier at Bangor Sams Club . I went to the customer service desk because I lost my card and granted it was earlier then the regular members can go in , but when I went to the desk the wonderful women that worked there gave me a new card and I went on my way shopping. When I got to the register the young lady there was rude , insulting, and extremely demeaning. She yelled at me for shopping that early. And I wasn't to shop during those hours again. Stopped here for gas. It was easily $.20 less per gallon than anywhere else around. Attendant was nice and smiled and walked around ensuring everyone was ok. While there was a line, it moved quickly. Would come here for gas again. read more

Ok, love the employees at this store. It's the Corporate greed to get everyone a Plus member that has me angry. So i am a Business member and now i find out i can't come in early unless I am a Plus member!! I don't recall Sams announcing this or as a courtesy, letting anyone know in advance! Amazed at how much you can save by buying in bulk here. Literally everything I need and more. Certainly no complaints about this place !

There's a HUGE VARIETY of items with varying prices. (There's a ridiculous amount of junk food) Some things are genuinely good deals while other items are outrageously overpriced. Whole food finds like rice, beans, maple syrup and organic carrots are cheaper than anywhere. With some items like oranges the quantities are so large they're unmanageable. The staff is always friendly, and if you know what your looking for this seems to be some of the best deals for food in the Bangor area. The downside, it's ALWAYS CROWDED. I wish there was a better selection of organic and sugar free options. The parking lot is basically never taken care of in winter. read more

Very angry about last visit to this location, I am a long-time customer and I bought every tire I own from them. Needed to have tires swapped over the winter and the first appointment was Christmas Eve six weeks from now. I brought this to the store managers attention, Heather just cited the safety of her workers. I listened patiently Then I asked about the safety of my wife in a vehicle with the wrong tires in the winter. I am all done with this operation, tire warehouse had me in and out in three hours. read more

In our atlas there is a list of sam's clubs nationwide that have gas pumps. This is one of two locations in Maine that provides this service. Hoorah. We went in the store to buy one or two things, and to get cash back...and to get snacks of course. However, on visit one there was a code blue (we found out when we came back the following day what this means, it starts and ends with the second letter of the alphabet). I like the selections and prices. But they never have enough registers open. I mostly go there to fill up my gas tank.

Do we save by shopping here ? The answer is yes and this is why.Yes you get bulk items,and what you need to understand is people are spoiled into going to regular stores every day or every couple of days. And all those trips each month eats away at your pay check.One trip to SAM,s for your main items that you are always running out of two or three times a month and running to the store every other day to buy,just one trip to Sam,s and you save by not having to run to a store to buy toilet paper etc etc. One Sam,s trip saves you by actually being stocked up on those items that cause you to be running to the other stores over and over again each month.And the Grocery items are pretty much top choice with plenty to choose from. read more

We have a business membership here and have for over a year. There is an employee, an older man, who works the self checkout (he was there today at 3:30). Every time we go to the self checkout he seems to hang around us, watching us ring in everything, checks what we have in our cart multiple times, and on one occasion he really freaked out my son who doesn't like going to Sam's Club anymore. On this occasion, near Christmas, we were picking up items for business as well as for a Christmas party. We had alcohol in the cart and needed an ID check. He insinuated that my son (12) wasn't mine, asked him for an ID, quoted some bible verses and said "mothers need to look out for their sons. It's a treacherous world out there". I have never seen him check other customers carts or hang around as he does with us. It appears that he is judging us on our being younger than the "normal" crowd there, that we have tattoos and don't leave my son in the car just because we're buying one bottle of champagne. For a place you have to have a membership for, I feel as though being judged and treated like a bad parent and a thief is beyond unprofessional and highly prejudice. read more

I used to enjoy shopping at Sam's a lot. However, changes to the checkout and several less-than-friendly cashiers make me dread having to go there. Don't get me started on the hide-and-seek they play with the stock...nearly every trip I have to hunt for something that I've bought there for years. read more

The deals are pretty nice. The store is very open and has a setup so that everything can easily be found. The drawbacks: sometimes the fruits they put out have sat out for so long, like the strawberries, that they are rotting and smell. The amount of registers open is ridiculous. When you have 20-30 customers with loaded carts waiting to check out and only thee registers open, terrible. read more

Awesome staff, huge selection. The plus card has given me free money just for shopping there. They give you 10 for every 500 you spend and I thought that wasn't very much at first but if you buy their gas it adds right up. And their gas is always the cheapest in town anyway read more

Went in to upgrade my iPhone-- 3 long hours later-- still no new iPhone. Seems to be a glitch with the system Sam's uses called WARP. It was frustrating and aggravating-- BUT-- the tech at the iPhone counter- Joe- was great to work with (even though we didn't get our mission accomplished) He was helpful, apologetic, polite and a really nice young man who was as frustrated with the process as I was. Optical eyeglasses have been the best prices we found, well worth the travel and wait time. Ms. Carol in the Optical department was helpful, polite and patient. Big big store, hard to find things, aisles not well marked and can't find any assistance to help us old people reach the shelves over your head or lift heavy stuff. Good prices on some things but the brand selections can be limited, it pays to do your homework on price comparisons before you go. read more
