This is my Sam's Club. The one I go to. I probably shop there every other week with grandchildren, older children, and two disabled members in my household. It does give you the best bang for the buck. I tend to not like going there on the weekends because it's so busy, but you can do a pick up order And that is truly amazing. The pack everything for you they do it wonderfully and they are very professional I've only had one time something go wrong and they credited me and fixed it. There's a lot of product if you have time I recommend going during the week when Parking or eggs have been a bit of a prom to get latelybut it's still a good thing for your butt and nowadays we need to save as much as we can! read more

This Sam's warehouse is fantastic. The food is great, lines are quick, and the pizza and lunch items are great! Also, most of the English speaking customer service is great. I just have in person experience at Sam's in Elmsford. I do not place pick-up orders anywhere because I never get what I ordered. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a Sam's Club. We placed a pickup order and waited in the parking lot for over an HOUR, and not a single employee came out to help us. We tried calling the number, checked in through the app multiple times, and still nothing. It felt like they had completely forgotten about us. To make matters worse, the store itself is in terrible shape--run down, dirty, and disorganized. Floors looked filthy, shelves were messy, and it honestly felt neglected. I've never had such unprofessional service anywhere. Definitely won't be coming back. :( read more

Who is giving bad reviews? What, you've never been to a wholesaler before? They're all pretty much the same... I think this is the only Sam's I've ever been to, but I think it's great. I went to Sam's today to do some shopping. I wanted to purchase Poland Springs water, gallon size and because I wanted to purchase the 6 pack size, the problem I had was that it was too heavy for me to lift and then put in my car trunk. I asked one of the nearby associates if I could get help with this and he said that he would be happy to help me. He got 2 boxes of the water which was quite heavy and put them in my cart and accompanied me to my car where he loaded the items in my trunk. This is greatly appreciated because I'm a senior citizen. What NOT to do to customers would fill Sam's Club Encyclopedia of Business Ethics. I put in a $250 order online on Friday. June 16 and selected to pick up items that were not being shipped on Saturday. June 17 between 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. I tried to use the Sam's Club app on my phone that I had arrived at 7:30 a.m. for a pick-up. The app did NOT work, so I went to the door after waiting in the pick-up area for 20 minutes. Associates flatly refused to answer the door and told me that the store opened at 8:00 a.m. I finally got Melvin to respond showing him my order #10074372944 and giving him my last name. That was at 8:00 a.m. when I finally could get service. The woman working in the pick-up department was especially nasty telling me, "Your pick-up is at 8:00, not 7:00-8:00." I showed her the email. She reiterated that the store opened at 8:00 a.m. I waited another 20 minutes to get my order bringing my waiting time to 50 minutes. Melvin asked me to wait another 15 minutes to get the barbecue chicken. I asked him to remove it from my order. When I got home I discovered several important items missing from my order. I really resent being treated so shabbily when I am a good customer. I will not renew my Sam's Club membership. There appears to be no shred of interpersonal training on how to treat members. Agreed upon times are discounted completely. Orders are unfilled. Customers' time is wasted. Clientele are treated extremely rudely. This store is by far the worst. When you have to get your items from store pickup, parking spaces aren't available due to people parking and shopping. When you try and call regarding an issue, nobody answered the phone, and they will show some items aren't available for pickup but only delivery when that isn't the case. They want you to buy the higher priced item thats shown as being available for pickup. The associates are rude as well. This location is horrible!!!!! read more

Was searching for a wedding three tier cake. However, the costs were absolutely over priced. So, one day I was in Sam's Club and noticed they make wedding cake for 70.00. I had cake from other parties and knew they tasted good. So, I ordered the three tier cake and my display cake (see photos). Then I purchased a large round cake from "Make My Cake" in Harlem for 90.00 (the same bakery who quoted me 750.00 for the same looking/size cake), which we used to serve our guest. But, there was a lot of guest who wanted more cake, so we starting cut and handing out the Sam's Club cake and our guests loved it. Best value ever!!!!!! read more

Horrible service, I purchased a membership through Groupon after my membership expired I had to repurchase membership at store then get a refund after 2 times calling I was told that I can't get a refund that my account I paid for at the store is expired. This location for Sams club is terrible. The staff and customer service is horrible. I have been to many Sams clubs and have been a member for about 15 years, this is by far the worst location I have ever been to. I ordered tires from this location and made an appointment for install at 11. I wanted for 30 minutes for an employee to get me and say im sorry all the garages are full. even though I had an appointment at 11 and I waited 30 minutes for you just to tell me I can't have them installed today?? This Sams club location has many problems; similar issues at other locations although employee attitude and engagement better elsewhere. Tough market/location to hire quality people (a few exceptions on current employees). The lines are typically long. The irony is that humans are like cows and need guidance. Most customers can't figure out how to form a line that does not back-up and block all other customers from accessing middle cashier stations. So if customers are cows than Sam's Club should guide their animals. For example turn the cashier stations 45 degrees - at least then the moo moos will have more room before blocking interior lanes. I am always shocked how humans are oblivious to the problems they cause - why not turn line yourself? Try it and some fool will IMMEDIATELY walk-up in front of you following a parallel direction to the cashier lane. Second, most customers are inefficient at check-out. I have seen more than one person use a single hand to unload +50 items from cart on to cashier belt. You think they are quick at self-checkout? No way...slow and oblivious to efficiency. This is a negative customer experience if you are behind them and watching them fumble through a simple checkout. BAD MOVE to have shifted to self-checkout. Third, they have some employee rule about greeting or engaging a customer if within a few feet of an employee- you will consistently be ignored by all employees so get rid of your insincere rule painted on stairs up to employee lounge. Fourth, the loss prevention door-checking is okay but often backed-up. Instead of standing at door, they should be working the line during surges or create an express lane for a smaller amount of items...or two "lanes". No need to have a carts back-up to registers if you don't even have a cart! Fifth, the parking lot is full of lazy people trying to park close to door. Yes, the classic false handicap placard while seen easily pushing 200 pounds of items on a cart...plus "waiting" for someone which could be done elsewhere (selfish). An ergonomic engineer could redesign the traffic flow so less idiots "waiting" with their vehicle near entrance/exit as I am POSITIVE they could get a text for door pick-up. In fact, they should have a side exit for drive-up pick-up for lazy cart pushers (presumably would also benefit legitimately handicapped/elderly as well). Lastly, they added a shopping cart station years ago on the eastern side of the parking lot. But management fools did not install bollards to prevent parking in the space between cart station and curb. This means some lazy fool with a small car squeezes in the space and blocks cart access to cars parked further East in a generally open parking area. If you park in this open area, you risk being blocked and navigating a big loop OR scraping your cart between cars. These are basic and executive level design dynamics that should be addressed by corporate. They should offer money for design and customer flow improvements as someone is surely employed and overlooking the obvious (I.e. savings). read more

Found my things ok except for lettuce. Everyone was nice. The hot dog at the cafe was good, so were the pretzels. They could up the numbers of fresh fruits and vegetables. I spent 45 minutes at the Just Energy/Direct TV booth to get nothing accomplished. The wireless rep assured me it was a quick sign up but didn't know how to run the programs on the iPad. He called then FaceTimed the manager Crystal who was with another customer at another location. I typed in all my information and then was told she would need to finalize the switch and asked me to return tomorrow... early in the process I suggested I do my shopping while he learns what to do. He declined and said it would be quick. Time is so valuable, they didn't get it. I then asked if I could do it by phone but crystal said no... very annoyed. Train your personnel better!!! read more

We have been members at this club for over 20+ years. We joined because the location of this club is close to our business and there wasn't a Costco at the time. This club in particular has a number of issues, but the main concerns I have are staff work ethics and attitudes and constant breakdown of registers, which I believe contributes to the poor attitude of staff and irritable customers. Today in particular, I bought items which self checkout priced incorrectly. Before I went to Returns/Member Services, I made sure to take a picture of the item and the price tag above it. I proceeded to a long line which wasn't moving. Why? Because surprise! Only 1 register was working. So, those before me were wanting to pay bills, get new memberships, etc. 30 minutes I waited. Finally, another customer service rep joins in but has to share the 1 register. I showed her the picture I took prior to joining the queue. She then started to look through the specials pamphlet to verify what I was saying. (Not said, but thinking: Really?? you have 20 people on line, I showed you a picture which was dated and timed.) Ok, whatever. She then states, she will return it but I have to go back to the other registers and repurchase. (Again, thinking not said: Hello?! Are you kidding me? Just make the adjustment.) I said, "no. I'm not going to wait again. You can make the adjustment here.' She rolls her eyes and says I need your member card. I couldn't find it. She has my receipt. I ask her if she can look it up. My receipt is right there. I need your member card she states. So I'm frantically looking for it. I know I had it - I just purchased the whole cart I'm standing next to. After a minute of watching me look, do you have your id card. At this point I was pissed! So, I get my id card, handed it to her and she said look I'm trying to be helpful. I respond, "really? Because you tell me to go back and repurchase items where I came from 30+ minutes ago, I asked you to look up my member id to make this quicker and you just roll your eyes at me." I mutter under my breath- this is so ridiculous --- So, she says to me, - "Did you just call me stupid?" I said, "NO, but I would love to!" So, she proceeds with, "Just try it, just try it. I'm trying to help you and you trying to call me stupid, It's not my fault you can't find your member id." I responded, "I never said that, and you keep calling yourself stupid, so if the shoe fits!" After all of that, she says,"you know what, I'm not going to help you. I'm not going to play into your ignorance. You can wait for her to help you." Unreal! I should have known that was going to happen! After much waiting again - because they are sharing one register. She proceeds to talk about me in front of my face to anyone who wants to hear it. She says to her colleague, "I would have had her floored. You hear me?, floored!" She says "if the police were here, I would have her arrested". Really??? Why - because you called yourself stupid and I stood up to the fact that I won't wait in another line because you are miserable and just don't want to help! Trying to be helpful?????? I think not. The killer for me is that she can talk about me all she likes while I am standing right there, but it's a problem when I mutter something under my breath which she mistook as calling her stupid and continued to accuse me of calling her stupid! Again, if the shoe fits! All this time waiting to get something adjusted (it was a $20 adjustment, so I had to do it!), my cart half full of frozen items defrosting away! I should've taken down her name! She has very short hair and she looks constantly miserable - never smiles! The other lady who was there before her and who finally helped me - Nice and Courteous - despite all the crap she had to deal with before the miserable one arrived! This was today's example! There are many others.... like fruit being nice and shiny when purchased but moldy and rotten as soon as you take it home. When you try and bring it back they blame you for not bringing it back fast enough. Sam's Club Elmsford Management and Corporate HQ--- here's a note --- maybe your employees are miserable because the registers constantly break down and have to deal with long queues of irritable customers. Get your systems in order and have a backup plan. Secondly, train your staff not to antagonize customers and train them to do their job with a smile. Pleasantry always outshines crap! Lastly, go and take a page out of Costco's service - no questions asked, customers are valued, queues move, systems never break down! Happy all around. Sam's advertised special shopping hours for first reponders and those working in healthcare. The hours are from 8-10 a.m. on Sundays starting today. I arrived at 8:10 a.m., there were police outside who said there was a limit to the first responders early entry no more first responders were allowed in. They said we had to stand in the regular line and wait for the store to open at 10:00 a.m. There was a doctor who arrived with me. She said "I have worked a 12-hour overnight shift and now I have to stand her until 10:00 a.m.? She left and so did I. Sam's should modify the offer and let people know they will only let a certain number of first responders in. That way we won't waste our time. read more

Have been going to this Sam's for years never had anything bad to say about it except the checkout lines, no express lines at all. Today had a bad experience. My wife and I came in to pick up two rotisserie chickens, one for us & another for a friend & emergency supplies for upcoming winter storm Quinn. There were about a dozen people already waiting. After 10 - 15 minutes of waiting a worker walked out and announced that he is leaving for lunch otherwise he will be written up. He also mentioned that the butcher will be out as soon as he's finished packaging. Well 45 minutes later no one was out the crowd is now about 30 people. The chickens were done 45 minute ago. Finally I decided to head to the store managers office. Explained to an associate the situation - people have been waiting for close to 1 hour & no one is behind the counter & if something doesn't happen soon they may have a riot on hand . By the time I got back to the my wife someone was there taking out the chickens. Eventually a 'manager' showed up to access the situation & proceeded to tell us one chicken per person, there are only 28 available - hmmmm wife takes one I take one - the end. Next batch will be ready in 99 minutes. Great management here. Here's the kicker. They have four (4) rotisserie ovens each able to hold 28 birds, they had only one going. This is in an area where people still had no power, post winter storm Riley & upcoming winter storm Quinn. You would think they would be roasting does birds in all four ovens non stop under these circumstance. read more

This store has a lot of problems. The level of service is terrible and the staff do not have a clue. I wanted to buy a chicken and was told the wait would be 13 minutes. I left and came back with seven minutes to spare. When there was one minute to go, the "chicken master" told me I had to go to the end of the line. I pointed out that I been waiting and he started yelling at me. I got a manager and he started yelling at her. I eventually got my chicken, but what a nightmare. When I tried to checkout, the operator did not scan an item. The man on the door caught it and I had to wait almost 30 minutes at customer service to check out, and yes, I had to see another manager. I called corporate and was told they would look into it. Nine days later I am still waiting. When I called again, I was told my ticket was still open and they would get back to me at some point in the future--they could not tell me when--as they have a process. This store sucks. I purchased a set of tires with warranty at Sam's club. After I came to the club to fix a flat tire,I was told I'd have to wait for 2 hours to have it looked at to determine if they could fix it or replace it. I asked if they could look at it now since I took the tire off anyway & if they were not going ro replace it,I'd rather take it somewhere else to have it repaired instead of waitng 2 hours. Not only was I refused, the guy behind the counter was very rude,got very animated & started yelling at me accusing me of arguing with him even though all I did was ask him nicely if he could have someone take a| look at it. He said he took one look at me and knew about me since he was a "big" man. No idea what that means. So if you plan on buying tires from this place be prepared to spend a day there if something ever goes wrong. Or buy from COSTCO. read more

Yet another miserable shopping experience. Ignored by the cashier who was engrossed in her conversation with another employee, my wife had the temerity to ask if that line were open. The cashier, clearly miffed, glared, checked her groceries without a word, and would not respond when thanked. It is so incredibly unpleasant to spend money in a place where they don't appreciate the business. Cashiers could be fixing a machine, counting the drawer, or 100 other things. This has been my go to store for the last three years. They have a great selection of bulk products most of which is much cheaper per unit than your local grocery store My three favorite things to get here are the sams club bottles water (40 half liter bottles for about 4 bucks), sparkling ice (flavored seltzer water), the Bai coconut water and the egg and turkey sandwiches (see pics) My only complaint is the check out line. They have plenty of lines but they are never staffed so you always end up waiting 15-20 min before you check out. I've waited over a half hour in the past and it's unnecessary I love the fact that they give samples and the employees are usually very friendly. Overall, not bad. read more

I want to love my local Sam's, but I also want them to get better. Things I like: prices, hours, products. Things they need to improve on: 1) Long checkout lines- I have been at various times and you usually have a 10 minute wait with half the checkouts open. 2) Carts everywhere in the lot- they are overflowing from the corrals and often block parking spaces. 3) Bathrooms- urine all over the floor... second time. 4) Dirty food counter where the lids/condiments are-trash, poorly stocked and surrounded by fruit flies 5) Birds- yes it is a warehouse and they get in, but they were pecking at fresh bakery items. I've been a Costco member before, and I know that a wholesaler can be run better! My business and that of others is not guaranteed for life... read more

It took us a good 45 minutes to register as members with our Groupon. They keep leaving the station without personnel, and whoever the manager of this location is very very bad. The queue us about 10 people yet only one person is in the desk. Oh My God! Anyways, sams Club has a lot to offer especially if you are planning a huge party and oyu are on a budget. I have been to Costco and BJs, still a member of all the wholesale clubs, but Id say Sams club has a lot to offer--from party supplies that you cant even imagine. Very affordable too! From forks, knives, buffet servers, coffee carafe for $7.00, the individually small wrapped butter for under $10, these things I wish I knew before when I was planning for my wedding last year that I have to go to every on and offline store but Sams. If you're like me; used to Costco but know what to expect from Walmart, you will hold Sam's Club to high standards while knowing your expectations are far fetched, yet you might give them the benefit of the doubt, which I did. Firstly, the customer service is slow, yet very pushy when it comes to signing up new members. There are six registers in the customer service area but only two were open when I went so expect to wait on a slow moving line at any given time of the day / week you go. When my turn to inquire about membership came, the employee tried pushing the "plus" membership on me which is more than twice the cost of the standard membership. They push the premium like they make commission and will tell you anything they have to in order to reel you in, even if that means lying, which he did. The employee told me how plus members get further discounts on items in the store and that the weekly / monthly brochure with their savings is only for plus members. When I looked at the pamphlet which compares the membership options, nowhere did it state the lies I was told and when I brought that to his attention, he stuttered out "w-well, yes, th-the plus discounts aren't listed in the book b-but are posted around the store". Their one day trial membership was all it took to see what I can expect from this place. I went around the entire store and bought a few items but failed to see any discounts for "plus" members and just like the customer service, the cashiers are very slow and when I was finally up to check out, the pushy guy from customer service was coincidentally my cashier. read more

It's a nightmare for the most part- You will find that MOST of the staff is clueless.. I came in to buy a mattress, and was sent to about 3 different places before someone helped me effectively- FIND A MANAGER, or a supervisor; the correct title is escaping me, but one VERY helpful person is essentially the reason I'm writing this review- I wish I knew his name, but there was one gentleman who took time out of a very busy day (two days before Christmas) to help me bring the mattress up, checked it out on a different line with no waiting, and got it into the moving truck seamlessly.. He even refused a tip that I offered!! What service.. If this was a review for the guy that helped me, it would easily be 5 stars- FIND HIM! read more

Here's the problem; they offer free shipping. Wait, it is not free. Any item you find to be shipped is about $1 more than you pay in the club. Now how is that free? In addition frozen fish is club only. As is the smoked salmon, potato chips, etc. They only handle items in boxes or containers like cat litter.
