    email confirming pick-up time

What NOT to do to customers would fill Sam's Club Encyclopedia of Business Ethics. I put in a $250 order online on Friday. June 16 and selected to pick up items that were not being shipped on Saturday. June 17 between 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. I tried to use the Sam's Club app on my phone that I had arrived at 7:30 a.m. for a pick-up. The app did NOT work, so I went to the door after waiting in the pick-up area for 20 minutes. Associates flatly refused to answer the door and told me that the store opened at 8:00 a.m. I finally got Melvin to respond showing him my order #10074372944 and giving him my last name. That was at 8:00 a.m. when I finally could get service. The woman working in the pick-up department was especially nasty telling me, "Your pick-up is at 8:00, not 7:00-8:00." I showed her the email. She reiterated that the store opened at 8:00 a.m. I waited another 20 minutes to get my order bringing my waiting time to 50 minutes. Melvin asked me to wait another 15 minutes to get the barbecue chicken. I asked him to remove it from my order. When I got home I discovered several important items missing from my order. I really resent being treated so shabbily when I am a good customer. I will not renew my Sam's Club membership. There appears to be no shred of interpersonal training on how to treat members. Agreed upon times are discounted completely. Orders are unfilled. Customers' time is wasted. Clientele are treated extremely rudely. What a difference there is between the associates who go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful at BJ's and the ruffians at Sam's Club.

Best Optical Experience. The lady Running the test is super nice. The price is cheaper then Raymond's. Will be staying here for a long time.

I can't say enough good things about the team at Mavis Tire. Thank you Daniel!…read more At 4:30 PM today, on the eve of leaving for vacation, I discovered I had a flat tire. Knowing they closed at 5:00 PM, I called expecting to be told I'd have to come back another day. Instead, the team told me to come right in. Not only did they stay late to help me, but they also demonstrated something that seems increasingly rare these days--honesty. Rather than trying to sell me a brand-new tire, they carefully inspected the damage and let me know that a simple plug was all I needed. To my surprise, they even repaired it free of charge. Their professionalism, integrity, and willingness to go above and beyond turned what could have been a stressful evening into a tremendous customer service experience. Because of their help, I can leave for my vacation tomorrow morning with peace of mind. Thank you to the entire Mavis team for your kindness, honesty, and outstanding service. You've earned a customer for life, and I highly recommend Mavis Tire to anyone looking for a company that truly puts its customers first.

Where do I start. I…read morecame in for a 4 PM inspection, arrived early, and my car didn't go up until after 5:15. From there it went downhill fast. The technician insisted my brake pads were too thin to pass inspection. What he didn't know is that I have a background in working on motorcycles and am familiar with the NYS minimum of 1/32 of an inch. My pads were visibly fine. He then tried to demonstrate my brakes were faulty by showing he couldn't open my calipers with his bare hands. No caliper tool. Just his hands. That is not how this works, and it is not a sign that anything is wrong with the brakes. My brakes drive fine, no noises, stuttering, or pulling. He also tried other make up other "intimidating" things like claiming my rotor was "bruised." The rotor was fine. Rather than argue with him, I told them I didnt have time to do a brakes service that day. I'd mentioned a slow air leak in a tire that Mavis installed less than two years ago with under 20,000 miles. They initially said it looked like a issue on the tire that sanding would fix and offered to fix it for free. Minutes later they came back out holding my tire, insisting it was too dry rotted inside where the wheel is mounted to remounted, impossible to remount and that I had no choice but to buy a new one. I declined and asked to put my spare on instead. I got my car back 45 minutes later with a failed inspection and a completely flat spare. The spare they had just mounted. They were the last people to touch it the last time I used it, and that day, and sent me out the door without checking the pressure, after spending ten minutes telling me how unsafe my car was to drive due to the supposedly bad brakes. Then I realized mid-drive they never gave me back my original wheel and tire, even though I had asked twice to make sure it was in the car. I called after close, drove back, and found my tire already remounted on the wheel, ready to go. When I asked how, I was told a colleague just asked someone and they said sure, no problem, and did it right away. So they completed fabricated the issue to try to sell me a tire. The same tire your staff told me was impossible to remount. The entire reason I was on my spare. Done in minutes when someone they didn't need to scam money out of actually asked. I went home and mounted it back on myself and have driven another 50 miles no issues. Also, they charged me 37 dollars for an inspection which they failed with the notes "locked calipers" (if a car couldn't move its brake calipers, it wouldn't drive normally) and citing that it has a spare tire on it. As a woman, being walked around your car and shown things that are supposed to look alarming is a disgusting feeling. This location will try to take advantage of you. It lands differently when you know what you're actually looking at. I emailed corporate three days ago. No response. One star is generous.

Gentleman I spoke to was polite and clear about the best time to bring the car in. Discovered some adjacent issues which they clearly highlighted in their inspection report (including pics) which I may fix another time, but otherwise mostly stuck to why I brought the car in. There was no problem or huffing and puffing around this, unlike other places I've been to in the past. Pricing was reasonable and they were honest about what everything should cost. Got everything done quicker than normal too. Definitely will use them again once my bucket of bolts gets screwed up again, as they were a pleasure to work with.

I searched on "foreign car service" because I found no Toyota service garages in the Tarrytown area. I called. I believe Mickey himself answered the phone and promised to send the tow-truck as soon as it returned to the garage. But after about 30 minutes, Mickey himself turned up at the top of the hill I had reached, looked into the hood, showed me the power steering belt that had slipped off its pulleys, and suggested I follow him to the garage since the tow-truck was still out. He went very slowly to make sure I had no problems. He ordered an emergency delivery of the belts needed, and his mechanics replaced them without delay. I kept him and his garage in mind for 5 years, when the Toyota dealer service near my job lost interest in my car. Since then Mickey, Dan at the front desk, and the guys in the garage have performed every inspection, swapped my snow tires in and out, balanced the wheels, replaced the clutch, brake pads, and cleaned the brake drums, replaced radiator hoses and windshield wiper blades, front and rear ball bearings, flushed the brake system, replaced the cabin air filter... you get the drift. Dan tells me how much each part is going to cost and cost for labor, we discuss what I can afford and when. They take photos of any problems they see and send them by text, so I know what they are talking about, and the charges always come in as estimated, once or twice a bit less! And the car drives like new! Actually, there's not a lot left to do except maintenance, which they will continue to do for this car until gasoline is no longer available and I can't drive it any more. P.S. Yelp thinks I live in San Francisco. Don't know how this happened. I live in New York City, and I commute by train to Mickey's Automotive when I need to leave my car overnight.
