So disappointed! Long time member, can't even remember, just seems like we've always been Sam's Club members. Card quit working, they don't issue cards anymore. Tried using the APP - cause I I don't have a choice. However, Sams Club app does not work. Can't use gas pumps without a card, the attendant makes you try (after you already did) then they swipe a card. Sams you are not tech savvy. I'm going to Costco. read more

We have a Sams and Costco membership. Sams carries a better selection of chips and name brand frozen items like burritos, lasagna, chicken nuggets. And they have Pepsi Zero which Costco only carries the standard diet Pepsi. It does help that they are so close to each other. Hit both spots on the same day. As far as customer service, Sams is pretty much non existent and Costco shines in that department. read more

Ordering online is a joke. You can't pick a time window for delivery and they continually try delivering an order that was placed for SHIPPING by a delivery driver that comes after the stated business hours. Then the products are returned to the warehouse with no further information about delivery. When you use the online chat they tell you to call the warehouse. When you call the warehouse they put you on an endless hold. Shipped items should be shipped. Delivery items should be within a timeframe. Online chat should actually have information that can help you. Warehouse operators should actually take the call. read more

The customer service person who happens to be African American like that of myself and it's sad I knew she was going to act special with me but she was fine with the more fair skinned customers. She didn't ring up my food then tried to say I didn't pay just ignorant of you don't ring someone up how can they pay? Which was supposed to happen before she passed out food.. I am consistent with the belief, YELP should add a half point system. That being said Sam' Club is a 3.5 experience for me. I love the customer service here, it ranks right at 4. Easily access off Lima and Indianapolis Roads. I like purchasing certain items in bulk quantity. Toilet tissue, paper towels, laundry soap, and water to name my top few. There is no shortage of supply of these items at Sam's. There are all reasonably priced and easily located. I like the point of sale price on other items, like Sony Noose cancelling headphones- I purchased these at an excellent price for my sons. The industrial feel is sometimes off putting for me, but nothing major. What I have found is meat and produce are not to my personal liking here. I purchased a bulk cut of meat. Granted, I only paid $20.xx - but I wasn't satisfied. Lesson learned. Keep my purchases to home weekly necessities and leave the meat and produce to stores that specialize in that. Sams Club needs to cate about its handicapped customers. I am one of those. I went into the store and needed a scooter to shop. I didn't see one immediately. At the greeting desk (misnomer) i showed my card. I then told the girl i needed a scooter. She looked at me rather disgusted and said there isn't one. I said i needed it to shop. Don't they go look and see of one is coming. She said she wasn't allowed to. I forgot to add that she was on her phone this entire time. She didn't look at my card when i showed it to her and she was welcoming others to Sams without seeing their cards too. At Costco i have not only had the door person to radio to the checkouts and see if one is coming, they send one of their cart people out to the parking lot to assist another who was finished and bring that cart back to me. On some occasions they have found a chair for me to sit and wait. Sams need to be more picky about who they hire and to be trained on helping the handicapped. read more

My husband said to me" write a great review for sams club", so here I am writing that review. Great customer service! Stacy was amazing helping us. We purchased philips electrical toothbrushes with 3 year warranty. One of them died after 2 years. We came to the store without the receipt hoping to look it up in our purchase history . We could not find our paper receipt after our move from Ohio last month. Stacy were able to help us with everything and we went home with our new toothbrushes and renewed membership! Produce prices are better here than Costco , and the checkout process is much easier at Sams club than Costco. We hold both memberships but do our major shopping at Sams club. read more

I can't think of any other warehouse food store I could go to that offers such variety of Sundries, furniture, electronics , automotive, alcohol and you name it! Always a happy staff help you look for that one item to make your life more enjoyable. You can shop and compare soapy items that are on the market. Demos are available for many products . Used to love this store. It's gotten worse as Costco has gotten better. Still liked this store well enough, and then they started leasing spots to random companies. A woman walked up to me and said she was offering a SAMS CLUB EXCLUSIVE which would get me a $40 sams club gift card and other benefits if I signed up for a MEMBERSHIP and only showed me the signature portion on the tablet. That night I got an email saying I signed a CONTRACT changing fees and other items on my utilities. I contacted sams club and they claim that are not affiliated but they let this company lease spots in the store and even the bill I received (when they didn't cancel after saying they did), had sams club name mentioned all over it !!! I love Sam's club. They always have a clean building with clean restrooms and we always grab a soda before we shop. The snack bar in fact has some great cheap eats and we come here just for dinner or lunch. Entering were greeted with a smile and the shopping carts never stick or wobble. I love certain items here and appreciate the taste testing because it helps with new items they carry and if my 10 year old will eat it. I absolutely love their baked chicken that is fresh and hot and often buy one for dinners. Their prices are great and checking out is a breeze. It's either thru a cashier self check out or thru the app. They make it so easy to spend you're entire paycheck here! We come at least once a month and love to look at the deals they have to offer. I have been a member for years. And although their Membership has increased a few times it's still worth it because I love getting the discount at the gas station as well. It's always 10-20 cents cheaper than the regular gas stations. And it's a breeze filling up your tank with early and late night hours. read more

We have been members of Sam's and Costco for quite some time. It seems Sam's, IMHO is well behind Costco when it comes to service. When it comes down to variety Sam's wins hands down. If Sam's had just a tad of descent service I would rate a star higher. An example is when my wife needed assistance in jewelry. Honestly, she waited a full 10 minutes before any help. She would have probably waited longer of it were not for me walking across the store to flag down an associate. Service at Costco comes with a smile. Service at Sam's comes with an attitude. This is also reflected at the return/exchange aisles. Sam's return policies are nowhere near Costco's policy. If Costco had Sam's variety, we perhaps would only belong to Costco. read more

I love the new scan and go app, no checkout lines and super easy to use!!! The produce is much better and lasts longer than Costco and is less expensive, even the organic. On November 9, 2019 I purchased 4 tires which were normally $80 off set of 4 but on this day ONLY they were $160.00 off. Great price, but that is it! Tires were due in the store on 11/19/2019. Its now 11/21/2019 and I have NOT received my tires. It gets worse, on 11/20/2019 I ask them to look up when I would be receiving the tires. They could NOT find my name or order in the system, yet I have a hard copy receipt in my hand. Finally the Sam's Club tire manager found a receipt for my tires but my name was not on them. He put my name on that order and said he would call me when he finds out when the tires will be in store. Today is November 21 and I have heard NOTHING! read more

I would always shop at Sam's Club in my hometown but coming to the Sam's Club here in Fort Wayne was a major disappointment for me. I used to be an employee at a Sam's Club out of state and our policy was to be the best for our members but coming here I see they do not follow the same policy. My first trip to the Sam's Club it took me half an hour to find an employee that was not busy or so they would say. In the end I left without what I wanted even though they had it. My second visit I avoided all employees so I could just get what I needed done as all my trip was a longer 1 I ended up finding what I needed and getting out of there without too much frustration. Every single time I into that store the electronics employees are nowhere to be found which makes it very hard to find what you need and get what you want. The managers are also rather rude and seem to think that they can just say whatever they want and it is perfectly fine when it's not. Despite all of its Sam's Club has wonderful prices and I feel that it is worth shopping there I just don't recommend trying to get a help from the employees. read more

Bulk food. Good prices on electronics, not always the lowest price but usually comes with extras. Rarely any organic food options.

This specific location has: Large fruit and vegetable offerings. (better than most Sam's I have visited.) Large bakery and meat offerings (much better than most Sam's I have visited.) Large beer and alcohol offerings. (much better than most Sam's I have visited.) Bulk toiletries, food, frozen food, milk products. (mostly better or same as other Sam's) Auto (tires, etc.) - never used as I have been able to find better prices elsewhere. Clothing - mostly cheap stuff. Seasonal things. Love the 'Sportsbrellas.' And charcoal bulk packs are nice. Pet - Rawhides are a great deal....but DO NOT buy the bags made in China...cases of salmonella have been associated with rawhides made in china. Photo service - Good, but sometimes there is no one at the desk, so a few minute wait is not out of the ordinary. Electronics - Sometimes I will find a decent deal, but more than likely there is nothing here that is a super steal. Snack area - generic pizza and slushies that will satisfy the cravings of even the most pesty of stomachs. (better than most Sam's I have visited) Never thought I'd be a Sam's club member...but glad I am now. read more

This store is terrible. I watched a manger be very disrespectful to an employee. Later I seen that same employee leave. I pulled him aside and he said that the manager was refusing to provide hand warmers for him outside and it was just 14 degrees. I'm sorry I work at another store and we give our guys outside hand warmers in this weather. I can't believe that a company as big as Walmart/Sams could find it in their budget to provide something that simple. The manager that walked him out was rude telling him that it's not the company's responsiblity to make sure their hands are warm. This store in Fort Wayne has the nicest employees. We had to ask to locate items and, as always, this, and that employee guided us to find what we needed...one item being a bathroom scale that was not digital. My observation of a competetive warehouse store was that the staff in the other store was so proud of their benefits programs but were hostile to any requests or suggestions. They railroad you through, have no patience and treat you like criminals. They inspect arduously all your purchases at the exit as though they have been instructed to trust no one. I am about ready to cancel their membership. On the other hand, they carry some products that are excellent, such as store brands made by nationally-recognized companies and without injurious additives like MSG, autolyzed yeast, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, maltodextrin, and whey protein. All damaging flavorings that can affect the brain, cause detached retinas and the like. I wish Sam's Club would carry these things. I cannot find a cracker or a soup that is not tainted with these ingredients. "Natural flavoring," "Spices," and other wordings are merely substitutes for the above injurious ingredients. Sam's Club shows where items are to be found on large-print signs. This is really wonderful, compared to its competitive store where last week an employee defensely quipped to me that they were "much too busy restocking to list where you might find things in the store. We just noticed many people looking lost or puzzled. So, Sam's Club...talk to your managers. We in the MidWest (and everywhere?) appreciate your store and hope that you can improve morale if the staff needs it by better incentive programs or better investments for them, like the competing store.
