First time in a Sam's Club today. It was okay enough, definitely nothing wrong with it. Clean enough. Nice enough employees. Decent enough parking. Fine enough selection on the shelves. But nothing stood out as above average or making me want to come back. Maybe I'm just a Costco girl at heart, but Costco gets a 5-star every time. They acknowledge you when walking in, look you in the eyes and ask if they can help. Overwhelming good selection. Sam's just paled in comparison to me. Came in Friday with my mom grocery shopping . They have gotten better . Produce was nice and store easy to navigate and not too busy . I appreciate the 100% cotton options on clothes and home goods . While I currently have an overlap and access to both Costco and Sam's Club, there are certain things that I prefer to get at Sam's - the gas is cheaper, better quality of clothing items (with Eddie Bauer & Gap brands), the toilet paper options are better and cheaper (I prefer the Quilted Northern ultra soft). This location is clean, well-stocked, staff is friendly, parking tends to be difficult even with their private lot. read more

My husband and I stopped at this Sam's Club for the first time the other day and I thought it was one of the nicest ones I've ever been to! The staff was very friendly and it felt super open and welcoming inside. This location is also way bigger than the one we typically go to and was fun for us to look around. I normally really enjoy my trip to Sam's, but today I left very irritated. As I am checking myself out, which I despise, I turn around to find an employee standing directly behind me pressing buttons on my screen. He said "I'm saving you money." I looked down and he had added a membership upgrade to my order. He said "I am saving you $10, it only costs $50." NOOOOO!!! I do not appreciate having things added to my order. In my "Karen" opinion, if they have time to come up behind me and add unwanted items or services to my order, then there isn't enough to do. Maybe open a lane to help people check out???? They have large quantities of many of the canned goods I have found to be my favorites--Hunts or similar brands diced tomatoes, DelMonte blue lake cut green beans, Dominoes granulated sugar and many many more. I literally pay just to shop here. I should not be harrassed by all the stupid vendors they have inside trying to sell me shit. Leave me alone. Last time I was there, they had FIVE different vendors around the store harrassing customers. It is extremely unprofessional. I expect that type of harrassment at a Mall. I don't pay extra to shop somewhere for the same shitty experience. If you want loyal customers, don't extort them for their money. Also their gas station is horrendous to use. They recently changed it so traffic flows one way. This still does not fix the problem as you have to enter from the opposite side to the flow of traffic. They need a similar set-up to what Costco has; where you enter from the side with the flow of traffic and exit on the other side. read more

Ok so I normally do not dig buying in bulk but this place has such great prices on my steaks and they are super good! I'm like a kid in a candy store in this place - they have interesting items you never see at your reg grocers plus their prices are fair considering the times ! I guess when you get to the point where you are the Duke or Duchess of a business, you should review them. Let me say that all of my yelp check in's at Sam's have been sitting waiting at the fuel pump for my car to fill up. If you live in Franklin, this is the cheapest place to buy gas, so I'm here at least weekly. It's reality when you live here and work in Nashville. And what else are you going to do waiting for the "click?" We do shop at Sam's in the store frequently, hubby usually does that part - and they do have some deals. I understand one other yelper's comments about how they used to be REALLY cheap, and now not so much. But to that point I say, the world is a smaller place. The purchasing in quantity idea, not as prevalent anymore. I've always known that it was cheaper to purchase soft drinks by the case at the grocery - Pepsi and Coke strongly incentivize that. We buy our "household" products (detergents, paper towels, etc.) here because it is at least as cheap as buying on sale at the grocery, and I don't have to worry about running out of TP with guests in the house. For my everyday lotion, Sam's is significantly cheaper than the grocery, Walgreen's, or Target... and for generic drugs you take every day - definitely check them out. Is Sam's cheaper than Costco? I don't know. Our family business buys a Sam's merchandise, we use Discover, so that's our choice. If you are an American Express person or debit card-er, and maybe you live closer to Costco, then go there. I have purchased several GREAT deals finding out of season merchandise (or about to be out of season) here, so when you are searching for patio furniture, holiday items, etc. - don't overlook them. Also store displays you can really negotiate hefty discounts for blemishes, etc. As I look around our house - our patio set (10 pieces, we have a large deck), dining table and six chair set, and an upholestered recliner have all come from there. My daughter and I pulled up to the gas pump at 6:55PM on Sunday. Before she could complete the transaction via credit card (entering Sam's card then choosing a different payment method etc.), the machine froze then said the pumps were closed. We asked the Sam's employee why we were unable to get gas, since we were there prior to 7PM. He rudely responded, "Can you not read the sign?! 9-7PM. Maybe you should have gotten up earlier!" That's when I said, "'Maybe I will start buying gas somewhere else." He replied with, "I don't care!" I cannot believe the rudeness! It was clear he wouldn't have cared if we were stranded without gas. Maybe it is time to buy a Costco membership! Unbelievable... Got a one year sam's club membership (plus a rotisserie chicken) from groupon for $25. So far, not impressed. Customer service took half hour just to talk to me about giving me a membership card. Their printer was down. Definitely could have told me about that before making me wait well over a half hour in line, sending me off to print the groupon at Fedex and then making me wait another 20 minutes in another line. And I never got my dam chicken! On the plus side, their gas is the cheapest in Franklin/ cool springs. I shop at Sam's Club every week. Gas prices are the best around! We buy our dog food and some groceries every week. Scan and Go app is amazing! Just scan your items as you shop and show barcode at door when leaving. The photo center is great! I have used the photo center a lot for scanning pictures, making cds, prints, canvas prints and more. The vision center is great! Very nice and helpful staff! The eye doctor located in Sam's Club is very convenient and the doctor is nice. Only downside I would say is the employees must not be to happy working there. Only a few have been nice and helpful. Very rarely do I need to talk to employees as I get my stuff and use scan and go app now. The times I do have to talk to employees I would barely give them a 2 star Most seem unhappy, do not want to help or kinda rude. If you ever have to use customer service be prepared to wait! read more

Do not go to this club take your money down the road to Costco. Lost my wallet was there today asked for a day pass until my new license came. I said I had credit cards and other ID for a day pass to verify who I am. The short crabby obnoxious woman with dark brown hair about 45 years of age refused to give me a day pass even though I had my credit cards and all my information. I am leaving this membership next month when it expires and I will never do any business here again and I did at least $100 a week in gas between my two vehicles. I have been a member of Sam's Club for over 21 years and there are few instances I have experienced issues. However, the most recent visits have been extremely unpleasant. On 06/06/2020, after shopping i stopped in the Lady's Room to find it was an atrocious mess. I approached the manager, Brandi to let her know the condition of the bathroom. Her response left me feeling as a child after a. negative scolding from a parent. Another employee responded and stated, "We know Honey, its been like that for hours." I asked if she was aware there was TP full of stool scattered on the floor and she replied this was known as they had been in there. The location of this club is not an area where customers are used to this type of filth and the condition of the bathroom, response from the manager and employee, acknowledging they were aware, is extremely unacceptable. Today, 06/09/2020, there were several issues. 1. A new futon was sitting outside the customer service desk and I wanted to purchase. I asked an employee for help with obtaining the sku to purchase as the item was not yet on the shelf. I wanted to purchase and return home for a trailer to transport the item. The employee told me he felt it was best for me to come back after the item was put on the shelf. He refused to obtain the sku from the item. I explained i was not available tomorrow and would pick up today. He told me to come back and purchase when i had the means to take the item at that time. I had to go and obtain the sku, go to customer service who summoned the manager who would ring up at the register. Brandi was the manager.... The cashier was Meeka (not sure of name) who I perceived as unapproachable. As she scanned my items, she kept turning a box with 2 plants over, breaking the stems on one plant and the sign in the pot... (no attention to detail) At the registers, there were bottles of Coke with a note attached stating, customer would get a Coke if cashier did not ask customer about Sams credit card. My son asked me if we would receive a free Coke... I asked the cashier, Meeka, who states what are you talking about, I pointed to a Coke on the register behind us and she states, I dont have that sign. This was not TRUE, there was a bottle of Coke placed under the counter where the credit card machine was on Meeka's register and I pointed it out. Brandi interjected and stated the Cokes were for a weekend promotion and not today. Okay, this would have been acceptable, but Meeka then stated you can have a Coke if you want one and when I stated okay, she pointed to the Cokes at the Deli, just before my daughter grabbed a Coke, Meeka rolled. her eyes and stated, you can have one but you are going to pay for it, you cannot. have it for free, then rolled her eyes again with a smirk on her face I felt this was unnecessary!! I walked out but with the urge to say something to Meeka but held in my emotion. However, I called the service desk to let them know i would return in an hour but I was very upset about Meeka's behavior. NOT only did she lie about not having a Coke bottle at her register, she behaved very unprofessional. It was unnecessary for her to offer a Coke, demonstrating poor behavior and what i perceived was taunting me and my children. The Service Desk member told me she would get me a Coke when I arrived... Unfortunately, she was not at the desk. Instead Brandi responded and proceeded to argue with me and in her arguing she made me recognize her unprofessionalism and recall the incident from 06/06/2020. Brandi proceeded to argue not as she was having a discussion with a customer but rather an enemy in the street. Brandi ultimately walked away and could not be located. She lied when stating - Coke not at Meek's register and Cokes at every other register... I find it very unprofessional and poor taste to lie to customers I learned Meeka is also a manager and Brandi was looking to locate her. So what I found, Brandi and Meeka are managers, and in my opinion very unqualified. What type of quality customer service Sam's has to offer...? What happened to hiring qualified individuals? There are SO MANY people out of work and much more qualified. Where does Sam's find these folks. I spend so much money at this store and i will not be going back until Sam's makes it right. read more

I purchased a new set of tires since it would be convenient to get them serviced while I shopped since I go there a couple of times each month. One of the tires is out of balance quite noticeably at 60 mph. I took it back the next month and they said they rotated the tires and balanced them again. The bounce moved from the left front to the right rear. I went back and waited almost ten minutes before anyone in the shop area acknowledged me and the guy opens the door and says, "What do you need?" Not "Can I help you?" What do you need? I told him about my tires and he said it would be 2 1/2 hours before they could get to it. I asked to see a manager (another 15 minutes) and he said he was a "fill-in" manager and really couldn't help me but he was sorry for the poor service! read more

This is regarding the photo situation now that the club has been renovated. The photo center is gone and it you order photos online, you get zero feedback online about when they will be delivered to the club. You have to wait in a long line at customer service for them to look on a shopping cart to see if your photos are there and be told they can't find them. Zero tracking / traceability to your order at the club location. They just say "sorry, can't find" and shrug their shoulders. Okaaaaay. Really? And multiple attempts to contact Help online tells me they were shipped to store and should be there. Recommend you order elsewhere for your holiday cards and pictures. Very disappointed. Let me start by saying that I have been a Sam's Club member for a long long time....you used to be able to get good deals there!!!!! I don't feel that way anymore and will be letting my membership go----I think they have gotten greedy----I don't like for how they pressure and push their employees to up sell all the memberships to the elite membership--- The products and prices they have are no better than other stores....Once in awhile if you hit an item on clearance or closeout you can get a find and the clothes are usually good priced however I'm not willing to pay a yearly fee for that privilege. The lines are always long to check out and you also have to stand in line to have your receipt double checked upon leaving the building---which is ridiculous and frustrates me ...I think Sam's Club and Wal-mart as a whole are a long way from what Sam Walton originally intended.... read more

You know how some people are die hard Sams Club fans & others are Costco fans? Yea, I'm neither. I've got a membership to both because each has there strengths & weaknesses. For Sam's Club, this is the best one in the Nashville area. It's crazy how from different parts of town have different items. For instance, you cannot buy a jar of artichoke hearts at the Sams in Antioch but you can buy certain spices there you can in Brentwood. I guess they cater to the demographic, which is good. Sam's seems to have better deals on some things over Costco, but not as much selection as Costco. More options are to be had at Costco. I do like this one because it's usually clean & never as busy on the weekend as Costco an be. One of my pet peeves about Sam's Club is the salesman they have in the store trying to get you to buy Direct Tv or some kind of paint protectant for you car. I always try to avoid them as much as possible. The samples make up for it though. I also like that you can use a debit/credit card at the concession stand, Costco is CASH ONLY. If you're hungry, get a slice of the 3 meat pizza. It's addictive. The gas here usually on par with Costco gas & the wait isn't as long. read more

While being able to pull in from either direction is hectic, I prefer this as I'm not going to drag a hose across my car like they expect me to do at Costco. This is about the gas station. The lanes are a mess with cars coming in from both directions. The fuel hoses are set up with retractable cords to allow you to pull the nozzle around your vehicle to fill up...regardless of which side of the vehicle your gas tank is on (just like costco-only way more chaotic). Upon pulling up, I saw generic looking signs taped up everywhere directing people to not pull the hose "across the car" because it prevents the "auto stop from working". This would only happen if the nozzle was placed in the tank upside down. If this was really a concern, they should remove the retractable cords. Anyhow, I pulled up and took the hose across the back of the vehicle and started pumping, with the pump in the proper position. Within 1 minute of pumping, this older man "Rick" (Sam's club employee) comes darting out of his little fuel shack. He angrily said that he wanted to "bring my attention to the sign on the pump". I told him that it should not be a concern because the pump was positioned properly. He didn't know what to say, so he just said, "make sure to pull up on the correct side next time". I told him it that it was being properly used and that there's no issue. He then got more angry and stormed off. This is one of the reasons Sam's Club is a turd compared to Costco. The gas prices are cheap, but the chaos, disrespectful workers and non-top-tier gas will keep me from returning in the future. Rick should not be working in proximity to customers. This Sam's Club should organize their lanes so that people come in one way and leave one way. They also need to take down their unprofessional signs or remove the retractable hoses, if they are worried about people not knowing how to use the gas pumps. read more
