The management team really did a fantastic job at handling the Focused Fighters Pokemon release on 7/21. Everything was organized from start to finish and if a problem arose, they were quick to find a solution. They even handed out water bottles and fruit snacks to everyone waiting on line. I woke up very ill this morning and was able to get a Dr's appointment before 8am. My doctor sent my prescriptions to Sam's club in Middletown, NY right away. I called a few hours later to make sure that they were received and explained that I was very sick. I was told that they were received and to wait for a text that they were ready. After not receiving a text for several hours I called back and was told that my prescriptions were being expedited and that I would definitely have them by the end of the day. I went to the pharmacy 30 minutes before they closed and was told that my prescription was not in stock, would not be available for 3 days, and that it was too late to transfer it to the Walmart down the street. This is unacceptable. read more

Great selection with great prices depending on what you're shopping for. Their Rotisserie chicken is unbeatable. They make some delicious fresh pizza as well. Good place to fill up on gas after you shop. You don't even have to wait in line to check out if you use the app. Would recommend. read more

We decided to use Sam's club to order our Christmas cards this year and paid for expedited 2 day shipping. After 4 days we had yet to receive our order and contacted Sam's club for resolution. We were advised the order was shipped that day and we would receive in a few days. For compensation they emailed us a $10 gift card to use at Walmart. Shipping was $12 and we get compensated with a $10 gift card to buy more things from them? What a horrible resolution to our complaint. However, I wish that was the last of our issues with this order. We received the order today and they shorted us 35 envelopes and spelled our family name wrong on all the cards! I sent them a message advising that we would not be utilizing their services in the future..which is the only thing I can do at this point. So..my original review was one star. However I am changing my review because of the following. I received a professional response via Yelp from a Sam's Club rep apologizing for the issue. I replied to the email trail I had going with their service department also explaining the problems with my delivered order. The rep replied advising I would receive a 100% refund for my order. I am very surprised on how fast their service department worked and was very happy with their proposed resolution. I am used to receiving horrible service from large companies and Sam's Club/Walmart is one of the biggest in the country. Love Sam's Club but my hips and feet do not like their floors. They really need to do something about the floors. I know they probably won't since they've been like that for years, but those floors kill my hips and my feet. Sam's has everything you could possibly need in bulk, clothes, books, toys and decor. It's a one stop shop! Some prices are a little expensive but the good thing is they do accept coupons. They have cheapest gas prices around too. Many times there's a long line wrapped around the gas station of people just waiting to get gas. Especially during covid... it was insane! read more

At around 2pm on 10/24/25 a fire alarm went off in store. There was no fire, and it seemed to be in error. The sound was inappropriately loud, akin to a constant explosion that just would not relent. I have a medical condition that causes extreme pain in my ears when exposed to very loud sound, and the pain dies not stop when the sound is over, I continue to suffer after. I never consented to be exposed when deciding to my shopping. I should not have to be afraid of entering your store. People who cannot be around extreme sound are never considered at this store, and I do not feel welcome. If I walked in and kicked someone in the ear, I would have the police called on me. Why is it alright for a business to do the same to someone who innocently came in for groceries? This is not okay. Fire alarms happen, but not to that incredibly extreme noise level. Not only that, but had this been an emergency, no verbal guidance was given. No human voice came on a loud speaker with instructions on how to proceede. This location is pretty good. My major issue is the wait time. Sometimes there may not be enough registers open or even a wait for the self check out. We do find what we need and appreciate that things are in bulk size. The hot food you can order is a good deal. They serve hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, churrios (in theory- sometimes they are out of certain things). On the weekend I have found there to be many samples available to try which I appreciate. There has been one particular item I have tried to find on multiple occasions with no success. One time I was able to find it but it seems this is an item that is either not regularly stocked or not that common because the staff although they tried was not able to locate it for me. We do shop here pretty regularly with no major complaints. read more

I recently became a member here and so far, I've enjoyed that membership. I can definitely see how someone might get carried away here to the point where they're not saving THAT much money - but if you're smart with the items you buy, it's absolutely a steal over the regular grocery stores - especially right now. I've been here three times so far in the past month or so, and each time it's been mostly well stocked, always clean and organized, and the associates I've encountered have been friendly, polite and helpful. I haven't paid much attention to any of the fresh produce, meat etc since I am focused on stocking up on non perishable items in bulk, though we did try their bake shop cookies recently and they were quite good :) Overall, I'm happy with this Sam's so far. The only things I'd change are the cramped parking lot (when it's busy it's tricky driving through here) and the long lines at check out. I do have to give credit though, they have a good amount of self check outs which, when I've been, have all been in working order, and do make checkout faster if you don't mind scanning your own things. read more

I found it horrible that there are four electric scooters for handicap people that are out of order on a Saturday afternoon. That totally killed our experience. The whole point of coming here today was to take my elderly handicap father shopping for some groceries and we couldn't even do that. One employee told me to go check on the other side. I had already done so and told him that there aren't any. I was then told to just sit and wait until someone brings one back. I'm still not convinced that these "club" stores actually save you that much $$. By the time you pay for your yearly membership, it seems to exceed any great savings that they are offering but for some reason I find myself returning year after year. Anyway the reason I posted is because I'm sick of going in this store and waiting 20 - 30 minutes on line behind someone who needed the 80 pack of mens razors or the 43 pack of paper towels. Get a grip... I love shopping here because it's the closest one to me. I always buy the same thing over and over again so I decided to use the click and pull. I am now 6 months pregnant so I thought if I don't have to pick up 42lb cat litter and 55lb dog food a few times that would be a good thing. Well, the last time I went it was a Friday and the customer service line was long and they had 2 cashiers but it still wasn't enough to make the line move along. Anyhow by 20 minutes later I told the girl who rang up my click and pull order "I could have picked this order and checked out with the amount of time I waited on line" But I said i with a smile. She apologized. I guess next time I'll forget about the click and pull and just pick the order myself...even if I'm 9 months preggo...the customer service is really not there. For a yearly club membership, this works just fine for purchasing in bulk or rather large-size items from food, to dry goods, medicine to health and beauty products, as well as cold or frozen and fresh produce. Let's just say the product sizes are "family" or "banquet" or "party" sizes. Usually shopping here when an item is needed after sometime of a three weeks or a month or more supply utilization. Great in money-saving purpose and less running to this place every week. Of course, expect a line at the checking-out registers but since shopping here is not every so often what it is for me to be kvetching about. One time, we (my girl friend and her husband) went to shop on a Saturday, it was busy with shoppers. The plan of just getting food and household supplies turned out to be a shop for electronics, too. Yes, electronic items are on one of the aisle of goods. Even find office supplies, shoes and clothing. My friends bought a plasma TV. That was a "surprise purchase" for them. I sighted a nice leather sofa which I planned on purchasing, but laterrr. As if strapped on steel-clad shoes, I turned, traipzing straight to the check-out register! My mind was set on household and grocery shopping only. I stuck to that! Could it be like an over-all-anything-you-can-think-of club store? Could, with reasonable some times expense. read more

As big box stores go this is the only choice in Middletown NY unless you want to drive to Monroe NY to BJ's. On the date of this review the store is under renovation so some departments are closed and part of the parking lot is taken up with construction equipment. The store is well stocked and there are always free food samples to try. The checkout lines can be long, especially on the weekends, but it is worth the trip to stock up on non-perishable items. Best price on items like K-cups and the meat department is good, especially if you need large quantities for a BBQ. They also make a good slow cooked chicken for a quick dinner. One problem with this store is the parking. Sometime it can be a little tricky to navigate the parking lot and you have to cross the main lane to get into the store. It can be a little dangerous at times. Overall a good store, just expect long lines on the weekends and until the construction is done a little inconvience. read more

Of all the locations that I visited, my local Sam's is the worst (Wallkill, NY). The customer service is horrible and leaves you with a very bad impression from the many times that I have had to do business with them over the years at the CS counter. Maybe the first couple of years from when they first opened was the best customer service they offered, but, they quickly went downhill. I am made to feel like I am a inconvenience or made to wait while private conversations are being discussed. In general this store has the worst wait times at the checkout which I feel is to nudge customers to use self checkout, like what Walmart is doing. The selection of products has dwindled down, I am surprised to see how much compared to other locations I visit. It appears that local management has dropped the ball on many things and is producing a very negative experience for the paying member. One experience was looking for an item, I finally got up enough nerve to interrupt a conversation circle at the checkout line to ask and was given a quick point in the general direction within the store. read more

This location is better than most. It's always clean and stocked. Show me a SAMs Club that is not crowded on weekends. That is no reason for a low rating. Their customer service is also pretty decent. The guys in the tire store are really polite and cheerful. read more

I went there and after waiting 30 min for the chicken I cut it open for dinner after reheating in the oven for 20 minutes and it was still raw. Employees are super rude, it is almost they go out of their way to be rude. One cashier was ringing people up and drinking a soda. Worst sams club iv ever been to. I travel all over the east coast for business and shop at sams club 4+ times a week and this is literally the worst sams I have ever been to. Shelves are never stocked, always only 2-3 people working checkout and have to wait 20+ minutes for checkout. Better management is definitely needed at this store. read more

Visited here with my mother in law on Monday, September 14 at around 10:30 am. I was hoping to see some samples being handed out like they do at Costco, nope....not one. They had a dispenser for dried cranberries for which you had to swipe your membership card but it did not work for some gals who tried to get samples. I got some Linden's Cookies, Chocolate Chip and Butter Crunch which takes me back to my childhood. What I like about is store is that the aisles have signs on them, in Costco, you have to wander around until you find what you need. The snack bar was very nice, enjoyed a plump hot dog and drink at a bargain price and the condiment bar was well stocked and clean. The prices are just average on most items, I just like Costco more. read more

I just moved to the area.. I called to see if they have a 1 free day pass. I'm a member at BJ's but it's now 40 min from me, so I just assumed they did it as well. The lady at the front when I called was so rude. I asked about the day pass, and she said , " no we don't do that, you can click on invitation to shop, and get a code." I said where do I click, she replied angry and stern "go on the website and click invitation to shop." I clearly heard her the first time, I just am not fimilar with the website. Very very disappointed in the rudeness. When we got there a few min later, the greeter let us in with the email that was recieved. I asked if they had coupons, she said they didn't do that, but she did go and get me a phamlet and the same lady that was rude to me on the phone yelled at her, and said she can't give that to me and raised her voice and continue to yell at her. She told her that she was just showing me the benefits of being a member. I gave it back and said "here now stop yelling." And walked away. The lady at self checkout was rude as well and not helpful. Bottom line, the customer service sucks here, and If I were to get a membership it would only be for the gas, so I didn't have to come in the store to see the rude associates. I rather drive 40 minutes and get treated like a human. Again I just moved here 4 minutes from there, I don't know the area. So I'm not sorry for asking questions about your store. I shop at Costco, BJS and Sams Club. This Store is the worst.. The bathroom is always filthy, Customer service is awful, they are always out of ready made chickens. Poorly managed. The service desk iine is always long. No wagons today. The plants are near so far from the entrance i don't think they want to sell them. Many employees have attitude. Waited at the service desk today with one person infront of me for 15 minutes. Assistant came then left and returned in no rush. The Middletown store is great. I couldn't find a link to the online ordering and customer service for Sam's Club but I think its important for other customers to be aware of the poor customer service Sam's Club provides when purchasing a large item online. I purchased the Worthington swingset in April 2017 with installation. It arrived in early May with broken an missing pieces. Missing a quarter of the items (things like the slide, rocks, supporting lumbar, etc), the installers partially built it and said no one could go near it until it was finished. Weeks went by with dozens of phone calls, very poor communication and followup from Sams Club. They said the had to send an entire new set and have the installers pick through, then send the remaining parts back to them. Literally dozens of phone calls later, the replacement pieces are still waiting pick up on my drive way, its now June 29th! If you don't want to deal with the headaches do not buy a swing set from Sam's Club. The installers said there were several customers receiving incomplete shipments that he had to do a work around for. read more

they did add express checkout for credit card only.....having said that, it is impossible to return something without waiting on line at the service desk for an eternity. it always seems there's one person behind the counter who has to handle returns, answer phones and sign up new members,which includes photo i.d. pictures...it almost seems like they're afraid to have too many people working service for fear they might not be constantly earning they're salary...i will admit to trying on a pullover in the aisle to see if it fit ,for fear i may have to return it...no dressing room.......employees are fine,just not stationed in the right places read more
