This is one of the worst Sam's Clubs I've ever been to. The parking lot is very difficult to navigate and there are a lot of inconsiderate people who shop at this location. The one star is for the gas station, the only reason why I would ever stop by here. Shopping here can be really hard because it is always super busy. Sometimes it is hard to find parking too. The best part about having the app is that you can scan and go and keep track of what you are buying. It also means that you can avoid the dreaded long lines. Every since I got the app, I can quickly go in and out. We do love stopping at the food court. They also have super long lines but you can order ahead on the app. The food is super cheap and yummy. Overall we have found really good deals on items at this store. Using the app will make the experience so much better. Their gas prices are amazing too read more

Every visit here at a Sam's club, we keep regretting getting a membership here. The food offerings and quality is not as good as their competitor down the street at all. The only thing that ever looks at their stores ate the croissants and that's about it. Shrimp cocktail, 2 buffalo chicken packs and a regular chicken wrap, broccoli salad with raisins and bacon (ugh, should have read the ingredients closer), chicken salad too. $50 for this stuff that I wasn't craving at all. The buffalo chicken wrap was okay, although notably soggy and the wrap was not quite the spinach wrap I was thinking. The plain chicken wrap was about the same. While I like the selection of frozen products and packaged items, along with the scan and go option, I cannot give a decent review after purchasing a rotisserie chicken from there. I picked up a rotisserie chicken for a quick dinner and it was pink, slimy, with what appeared congealed blood, and what appeared a raw gizzard in it. I was disgusted. I am a new member here. I love the deals, and the scan & go. Today I noticed that my tire pressure was down so I just asked a tire center employee if they had an air compressor so I could put some air in my tire. Not only do they have one they put the air in for you (Unlike Costco where you have to do it yourself and with Costco's new machine I am always deflating them). The customer service at the Roseville, MI location was extremely disappointing -- this is not a customer-first establishment. I tried to resolve the issue directly with the manager, but nothing was done. I've since contacted the corporate office and am currently waiting on a response. They dont sell cigarettes, not a company policy, just because. Have to drive to madison heights for that. They dont keep reliable stock in the freezer section. Like one item, one time, never available again. You like a specific water, toilet paper, or paper towel? 50/50 if they have it. Very little in the way of availability for PCs or TVs. The best part of these shopping brands, the food court, but its awful now and it can be a twenty - thirty minute wait behind three people just to get a 2 dollar 2 hour old pizza slice. And they rarely stock drinks at the register anymore. Worst is I waited in line almost 40minutes for gas, filling up destroyed my fuel sensors, 02 sensors, and engine sensors, giving me a litany if problems it took months to get fixed. Dont trust it for the 2 bucks youll save. Just turn it around guys. Stock cups, stock items, and dont shrink on cheap gas. read more

This is a pitiful club. Any product that is decent eventually disappears from the shelfs, or can only be obtained by shipping. I have a plus membership that I am soon dumping now that Sam's is charging shipping for products that THEY remove from their shelves. Listen to this: Was regularly buying a product that is 24.98. It was removed from store shelves and now I have to have a minimum of $50 order to get free shipping. Do the math; I need to order 3 of the product for $75 to get free shipping; if I order just 2 I will be 4 cents shy of free shipping! Way to go Sam's! Do you really think I will continue to give you $115 year for a plus membership??? Not just no, but hell no! I came here to pick up a few personal items as always. One thing I love about Sam's is they have an amazing location and are usually fully stocked when you come. The staff is always helpful and everything is always in the right place. One thing that people aren't aware of is that you can download the app and scan and go on your cell phone. I never have to stand and the long lines because my card is linked to my account. Another thing is when you get gas there is always a long line to the street and it goes pretty quickly. I come here shopping for certain staples. The remodel is nice but certain things that I shopped for are no longer stocked. I do not like them getting rid of the dvds, some of my shipping supplies are no longer sold there. I do not like their new register set up at all. Now there are some cool new things they have done like expanding their meat market, their food area and I like how the grocery section expanded. The plus is always the cost of gas. Much better than most places. UPSATE 2/10/20: what the hell is wrong with management? We come in to renew membership and they changed the customer area by downsizing it and only one csr had a register. So while one other rep was available to help me they couldn't. I have been an avid Costco shopper for many years now, however Sam's club recently had a pretty awesome deal on a membership, so I decided to give them a try and see how they compared. Right off the bat, I was pretty displeased with my initial experience at the membership counter. I had to stop there first to get an actual card. The two employees at the desk were having personal conversations throughout the entire process of getting my brand new card made. I was not welcomed to the club or made feel appreciated as a new guest whatsoever. I was not informed or made aware of any Sams Club policies. There was a few items that Sams Club carries that Costco does not have. Those items made up the majority of what I purchased today. Items such as Grits, kids cereals, campbells soup, and remen noodles. There were several departments that I noticed a much lower quality product than Costco, such as produce and bakery items. Based on what I saw, I cannot see myself spending any money in Sam's club bakery or produce section because the items that were available did not look fresh at all. I did however receive a free pie with my membership purchase through the Groupon deal. I haven't eaten it yet though. I tried the scan and go option and it didn't work for me, so I ended up wasting time scanning my own items throughout the entire store, only to have to wait in line at the end of the store to check out. Based off of my first and only experience so far, I'll definitely be keeping my Costco membership, and probably won't keep Sams past this year. read more

Go there for gas. Long lines at times because the gas is usually the cheapest around. It's membership only. The pump area is kept up the best they can considering the volume of vehicles going through. The only problem I have is when it rains there are always large puddles in front of some of the pumps. read more

I love flowers and feel that a home should be graced with vases of flowers in every room. Expensive one might think, but Sam's Club is a flower menagerie with fantastic prices. I buy flowers for my home, work and as gifts for special celebrations. I love the art of putting together flower arrangements. What some might spend at expensive flower shops, can easily be replicated with the fine selection at Sam's. You can also find beautiful vases at a reasonable price. I received so many compliments at Christmas that I felt it necessary to share my little flower secret with my fellow Yelpers. My daughter was harassed by employees in the food court. They made derogatory comments regarding the number of items she had purchased in the store. Laughing and making fun of her, amongst themselves while the entire time, staring at her. This type of behavior is inexcusable. I have recently had a great experience with the Roseville Sam's Club. We ordered the 3 tier cake for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration, and it was a huge hit. Vanilla cake with buttercream. People kept asking me what bakery I'd gone to. When I said Sam's Club, they were wowed. JoAnn in the bakery was ever so helpful. She listened, and made sure the cake was how I wanted. It was so pretty (see picture, topper from Amazon). The cake was moist and flavorful. It was ready on time as asked. Such a great value considering I've had expensive cakes from specialty bakeries, that were nowhere near as good. I definitely recommend the Roseville Sam's Club bakery. Great cake and service. My how things can change in 6 months when comparing one location to another of the same company. To find that Sams clubs down south include car wash for members and some locations even change oil. Why is it that different clubs don't offer these services especially up north whiere they would be greatly appreciated and utilized due to the poor climate? When filling up my tank in Tampa I discovered Sam's Club is exactly the same price as most low cost gas stations such as Wawa. With me not finding a lot of products to use in my house in small amounts this membership is really not worth it. 80 dollars to pay the same price for petrol as a non member, I don't think so Sam's Club. There's an Android application called Gas Buddy that you can put on your phone and it will tell you the price of gasoline in the area where you are. You can also use it to find out the price of petrol someplace you may be going. So it helps me to save more than the time and still get a better saving than Sams Club on petrol. I know that I can also purchase any of the warranties on products that I find for the same price or less than at Sams Club. Single people don't find the same savings at Sam's Club as families and organizations. Maybe Sam's Club should think about that. I'm slowly finding alternatives for everything that I thought I could get at Sam's Club somewhere else and even at a better price. Sam's Club that's not nice. read more

If I could give this store -6 stars I would. My husband and I are just leaving this location after spending three hours shopping for groceries for our family. The store closes at 8 we checked out at about 815pm. So at this time the only option is self check out. Which is fine with me. As I'm wrapping up checking out all my items the woman who was overseeing self checkout area was very rude as I was paying part of my order with a card and my husband was going to pay the other portion with cash, she rudely advises that it's card only and we couldn't move to another register to pay cash. Then she literally stands there and watches me swipe my card to post the rest of my bill literally watching until it goes to zero! Then she swiftly walks up to the front of the store and I suspect she tells the lady at the front who checks receipts that we were stealing or something to that effect because when we reached the front she was so eager to find something missing from my receipt. The first thing she scans she eagerly says this isn't on here! I let her know I have more than one receipt! The total I spent this afternoon was $583! Then she starts throwing our items all about the grocery cart! I had placed my items neatly in the cart as I scanned ALL OF THEM one by one. Then more employees come up front as I my husband and I are both upset that they are assuming we stole and throwing our items everywhere then another employee brings another cart as if they are going to go through every single item in my cart! I have been with SAM'S CLUB for 6 years and for the most part have always went to this location!! I've never experienced anything like this ever at ANY GROCERY STORE! I'm done with Sam's club all together! After they began throwing my items all over the cart and being very rude and ACCUSATORY I ASKED FOR A REFUND! Hello, I wouldn't give this Sam's club any stars due to their attitude and how slow they are. I had a tire with a small leak and just needed to be plugged so I called up there at 4pm on Monday the 10/14/19 and asked them when they closed and they said 7pm and I can bring it in anytime before that. when can I bring it there at 6:15pm Gentleman told me that they can't take any cars in after 6pm. I went to the members desk and ask for a manager And a lady came she was very rude had no answer for me and said they can do whatever they want when I said I was gonna make a complaint against you , she canceled my membership right after I left. I called the next day got a hold of the store manager and they are back in their employees up 100% so therefore they are allowing their managers to do whatever they want and they cancel my membership back I can no longer be a Sam's Club member. All because she was rude and I want to make a complaint against her so be aware do not make a complaint against any employees or you can lose your membership. I've been going to Costco for five years and never had any issues like this before that I was a Sam's Club membership for six years and never been treated like this in my life. I'm a senior and went to Sam's Thursday senior hours at 7:15 A.M. Parking lot packed,Long lines with buggies outside the store and long lines at curbside pickup. I called pharmacy from my car to reach a very anxious pharmacy tech to add on more prescriptions to my already order. The tech told me they were already busy with customers inside and had no idea what was going on outside. He switched me to manager and I just got a busy signal and disconnected. I left and got some necessary groceries somewhere else. Sams needs senior hours everyday. I will try again today but will drive out again if there is a line outside. My family has been members of Sam's Club for decades. We were frequent shoppers at the Madison Heights location and never had any issues. A few months back we moved to east Warren and started using this location since it was closer. We were there today and based on how poorly we were treated, we will not be returning again. I was there with my 53 year old father, 28 year old sister, and I am 30 years ago. We decided to buy a bottle wine. We started to scan our items and got to the wine. Obviously, it was flagged as an age restricted item so we waited for the clerk to come override it. She asked my father for his ID. He hands it to my sister to hand it to the clerk because she was standing between them. The clerk immediately stops and says she needs to see everyone's ID. My sister had left her purse in the car because my dad was paying for everything. We asked the clerk why she needed my sister and my IDs when the buyer was clearly of age. She claimed it was because my sister touched his ID. What? Why does that make a difference? She tells us she can't sell us the wine now until she sees everyone's ID because of the miliseconds my dad's ID was in contact with my sister's fingers. This makes no sense so we have her call the manager. Ten minutes later, Carol saunters up to us. Without greeting or introducing herself, and in a snotty tone, she just says, "My employee told me what happened. We need to see everyone's ID or I can't sell you the wine." Never bothered to let us explain or tell our side of the story, she's already made up her mind about the situation. My dad explains to her that he is the one buying the wine. My sister shouldn't have to show them her ID. Carol scoffs that my sister could be under age and he was buying the wine for her. So what about parents with younger kids that come in a buy alcohol? If my sister was 12, it would be ok? "Well of course that's fine. That's different. 12 year olds can't drink alcohol." Except that they can and it's not really different. So now she says it's the store's policy and could potentially lose the store it's liquor license. Except the law in Michigan only states to card if the buyer doesn't look over 21 years old. It says nothing about carding those accompanying the buyer so I'm fairly certain it would not cause them to lose their license. After calling corporate to report Carol and her dismal behavior, they made no mention of this actually being a policy. She made no attempt to listen to our side of the story or try to rectify the situation. Basically, Carol does not care about her customers' having a good experience in her store. The only time she was able to smile at us was when we told her that we were going to escalate her terrible attitude to corporate. She was proud that she had upset us to the point where we had left a cart with $300 worth of product and wanting to cancel our membership because we felt so mistreated. This is a terrible attitude for a manager to have. She thinks she can act rude towards her customers and get away with it, which is absolutely unacceptable. You cannot make up rules and policies just because you or your employee made an incorrect judgement call and then treat your customer like dirt. The only reason we didn't cancel our membership today was because of the stellar agent we talked to after calling the corporate number. We'll be making the longer drive to the Madison Heights store. The employees are friendlier there, anyway. You can tell everyone working here is completely unhappy and it shows in their faces and attitudes towards their customers. read more

My fiance and I like to stock up on snacks and things it's ok to have a pallet of ahaha! I mean who doesn't ned 482 bags of cheezits! HA! But seriously this store is pretty basic. It ain't pretty, but it serves my needs. I mainly buy paper products (as in paper plates, tp, paper towel, kleenex, and the like) here, though they have some decent freezer meals and such. I usually have to stand in line for what feels like an eternity. Pizza from the food court is the greasiest you'll ever find anywhere, but it's CHEAP and sometimes it really hits the spot. Sometimes I order things on the website to be picked up in-store, but if I don't get there within a day or two they cancel the order and put the stuff away. And the carts with the stuff they have pulled for customers seem to be in a different location every time, so I have to hunt for them. My favorite thing is definitely the gas station. 90% of the time they have the best (non-cash) price in the area, so we pretty much always gas up there. read more

Prices and quality of perishables are the best. Employees are friendly and helpful. That's about it. Lines are terrible, you could age ten years waiting in the checkout. If you have problems with standing or just plain waiting, this is not the place for you. Customers are straight out of the ghetto. And they make sure you know it. Get two of them together and they will block the whole aisle, and will not let you pass, doesn't matter how nice you ask. They are sloppy, disrespectful, fowl-mouthed, ghetto and just plain annoying. If you can tolerate these negatives, the prices are great. And they do carry some frozen dinner items you can't find anywhere else. Overall this Sams Club is good. It usually has everything I need. I use the mobile app to pay, so I cant speak for the lines or the checkout process. The lines for gas are usually no longer than 10 minutes. For the cheapest gas in the area I can handle that. My only complaint is the food service is usually not the greatest. I was in today. My company had just gotten our business card. We paid for 4 cards. The first 2 are included. My wife and I werent there upon purchase but had a picture of what they needed. I went to customer service and after 20mins they hand me a temporary papercard and tell me their card maker was broken. I asked when it should be up and I am told they arent even sure if they have contacted the company and have no idea. Finally I take my papercard through checkout where they try and charge me for a card again. So after $120+ they are trying to rip me off for another $40. I am yhen told go back to customer service which has a 45+ min wait now. No thanks. What a waste of $ and I still cant shop there. Think I will spend my next $120 membership at costco read more

Best place on the planet to get gas. I can say the price is right and they actually have trash cans they aren't filled to the top every time you go there like other gas stations. You can actually throw away all the gum wrappers and the empty McDonald's boxes that have been lining the floor of your car since the last gas station visit. My family and I are 20 year Sams Club members. My daughter and I went to do our grocery shopping yesterday when she went to get a chip and dip sample. As she went to get the sample, I noticed the lady serving the samples was wearing gloves as she grabbed a chip and scooped the dip on the chip with a spoon. A male coworker came up to her and began talking to her and she stopped working, with her gloves on she licked her finger. When my daughter arrived the samples where gone and the lady turned to give her a chip and dip. She did not put on new gloves after she licked her fingers. Very disappointed. I am shocked that she continued to serve the sample after she licked her fingers especially since she did not change her gloves or wash her hands. read more
