Review about Sam's Club Optical Dept: Julie (an optician in Sam's Club's optical department) provided exceptional service in September when I wanted to purchase 6 months of contact lenses. I wasn't sure if Sam's Club would be able to order my high prescription contact lenses. But [[HIGHLIGHT]]she was extremely friendly and courteous and made me feel extremely special and well taken care of :) ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She also informed me about a limited-time special promotion for Sam's Club's Plus members like myself :D ! For every Plus Member who bought 6 months of contact lenses, the Plus Member can purchase a pair of prescription glasses for 40% off the total purchase price (lens + frames and all) :D ! However, the catch is that the Plus Member must purchase the prescription glasses at the same time as the 6 months of contact lenses to qualify. It was such an exceptional great deal that I could not pass up :D ! And as if that wasn't already stellar enough, Julie introduced me to some super cute Kate Spade frames, which came with super cute and stylish matching cases :D ! I just had to purchase a pair of Kate Spades :D ! She handled everything so beautifully and so well :D ! She had informed me that my contacts and my prescription glasses might not be ready for pickup at the same time because usually one is ready for pickup before the other one is ready. I just love Sam's club. Everything from their low gas prices, sometimes up to 20 cents lower, to their pastries and floral shop. I've been a member for numerous years. Dog treats are cheaper than at pet shops and stores and they are quality treats. I realize not everyone wants to buy bulk but a lot of times it may be a larger size or different packaging. Got tide pods for $10 less as discontinued product. This item I was just plain lucky to find this great sale. Roasted chickens are $5, they have a great bakery, selection of fresh prepared foods. They also sell adult, kids clothes and I was able to get a Carters 3 piece outfit with a onesie , top, and pants for less than $10.. I have bought cakes and cupcakes and always fresh. It's a great place to shop for holidays as well.I know there are Costco people and Sam's Club people. I'm just loyal Sam's shopper. read more

Was in this dirty Sam's. Gas lines take up ingress and egress. No carts, had to walk back through the lot to find one. Store is not very clean to say the least. The gas here is almost always the lowest gas within at least a 30 mile radius. The guys that walk around the pumps are always nice too. Richard is the best! I see him helping people out all of the time. If he's not helping someone w something, he's picking up trash or cleaning around the pumps. Think about it, he's so nice I have learned his name!!! This is usually the location I go to. I often come just to eat at the cafe as it's a good price and food is good, I bring the kids and we enjoy eating at the cafe. I almost always go through the exit door cause the cafe is right there, I understand it's not preferred to go through the exit door but I never had a problem before. Well that wasn't the case this time as I walked in through the exit door with my 3 kids and was told that I could come though there after I had already came though the Sam's club Karen asked if I had a Sam's club membership in which I said no as currently mine has expired and then told me I needed to leave and go back through the front entrance where they would stop me and ask me about a membership. I told her but I'm already in here so your asking me to leave and go around with my kids and come back, like I can understand her telling me for future reference don't come through the exit again but she really made me walk back out and go around to the entrance where no workers even approached me nor asked me if I had a membership, so I left to come back around for nothing. That middle aged Karen with buns in her hair shouldn't be put in front of customers. She didn't have to be so damn rude especially in front of my kids when all I did was go through the wrong door. And there's one thing I hate most about going into an establishment is rude customers service and for that instead of renewing my membership I will check out Costco. read more

This review is specific to the gas station part of Sam's. Pros? Gas prices are always the lowest in town so cant complain there, and yes they do have many stalls. The problem is it's always packed with cars which interferes with regular parking. Pumps are slow flow, big time so you will be filling up for a good minute. I have met 3 attendants that work the lot and 2 of them are about as unprofessional as it gets. The 3rd one is nice and tries to help but doesn't really seem to grap how everything works. read more

If you want to see late into the future of automated brick and mortar retail this is the place for you - think dystopian future... Your only choice for check out is to put on a Sam's club hat and pick up a hand scanner. During a pandemic you'd think they'd at least have hand sanitizer for you while you, now an employee, wait in line to check yourself out. Then to add insult to this process you have to see a quality control agent who checks your work before leaving the store. At no point is there employee protection - not for you as a temp worker nor for the permanent workers. Oh, did I mention you have to wait in line twice? Well, that is unless you don't know that tobacco products should be purchased first then grocery shop - if you don't know then you wait in line four times. I will never, NEVER, be back to this location and likely only go with a friend in the future to any other location. Where else can you get a gallon of miracle whip, a gallon of motor oil, 2 king size bag of chips, 6lbs of ground beef, car tires, a slice of pizza, and many other random things that don't go together all in one place? No where else but Sams Club. The wholesale big in size brother of Wal-Mart that is a must for the family. In addition to having some of the best grocery prices; you also get some of the best prices on everything else that is legal, such as electronics, cigarettes, and meds. I like the fact that you can also get the best prices on gas at this location and some of others in town. Sams Club has some of the neatest and most original seasonal holiday decorations for indoors and outdoors perfect for out doing your neighbour for Christmas. I'm a comparative shopper so I do everything it takes to save money without spending more to do it. I save so much money with Sams Club I tried tracking it one time, but lost count I bet it's over $500 a year. I have never been Costco and probably never will I live closer to Sams Club so its just easier for us stick with that. The $40 we pay a year for is made up on just two trips through the free food samples they give everyday. So 5 stars for Sam's Club, because saving money is always a good thing. The only problem some people may have is that they only accept MasterCard and Discover credit cards. read more

My favorite things about this place can be made into a simple, streamlined list: -the food court. less than $2 for a meal-sized slice of pizza? Yes please -the food court (again). Practically a pound of parfait, also for $2? Yes again! -they finally have a produce section! Bargain-priced boxes of salad and mushrooms -buy yogurt by the case here. but don't forget to eat it by the expiration date! -so many bags of frozen fish! if you can swipe a credit card, you can meet your doc's omega 3s requirement! -the combination of produce, fish, and yogurt means that you can buy for a month of healthy meals in one stop (good for singles!) -Rotisserie chicken for dinner under $5 -their fresh-baked cookies will make you the queen of the office, even if you're late to work every day. I speak from experience, and recommend the chocolate chunk and snickerdoodle. For anyone considering a membership, I will say that buying in bulk really only makes sense if you own a business and/or a herd of children. That being said, unless you already spend quite a bit on your groceries and don't mind, it's not really going to save you money. But hey, invest in a vending machine and stock it here, and you'll turn a profit in no time! PS: do they hire former prison guards to guard the exist and check receipts or what? I always feel mega intimidated by the women at the exit door, and I get the full-body stare-down even when I only purchase 4 obvious items. PPS: the customer service like is actually surprisingly fast. PPS: every month or so they send out a card in the mail with a cool treat, like a $5 gift card or a coupon for a free pizza slice, to remind you to use your membership. We were gifted the gift of a Sam's Club membership from my dad's girlfriend, and this has been probably one of the best gifts I've received. I'm not a huge Walmart shopper, and I can't remember the last time I stepped into a Walmart to shop, but Sam's Club is a different beast altogether. This place is filled to the brim with wholesale goods and prices that I have a hard time beating in this day and age. Since going Vegan, I tend to eat fruits and vegetables like they're water, and this is the place to bulk up on that stuff. The only downside is, there aren't a lot of meatless meat options, so I would love to see more tofu and other meatless meats on sale here. The other neat part of this place is the Keurig coffee selection is plentiful and reasonably priced for my everyday coffee drinking self. I have picked up several workout pants for $10 each, and through my weight loss transition, have tried their $15 jeggings (why buy full priced pants for something I'll wear temporarily?), and a few of their long-sleeved shirts for when it got cold. The quality of the items has been pretty good for the price, and I haven't found any issues with the clothes that I've purchased. We even bought some slippers here last weekend and they're my new favorite. The only downside to the clothing area is it can be extremely messy to sort through the clothes, and sometimes you'll get all the way to the bottom of a pile and not find your size, which can be frustrating. However, for the price, it's not too bad of a sacrifice. Overall, we continue to shop here because the selection is decent, the price is reasonable, and we can find things here that we could find somewhere else for more money and more hassle. I know we're going to renew at Sam's, but I also look forward to trying out what Costco has to offer. read more

I canceled my membership at Sam's due to their carelessness and poor and egregious operation of the Cafe.  I placed an order for 5 pizzas for a function.  I was on the phone waiting over 21 mins either because they were not answering and at one moment, or they answered the phone and just laid the receiver on the counter WITHOUT saying good morning or please hold. Finally, after 5 mins of holding, the worker picks up the phone to then ask "How may I help you."  I asked why it took so long to answer the phone, the worker asserted one person was taking orders and the other person was cooking, Wow only two workers.  I called Costco on I-35 who IMMEDIATELY answered and my order was placed in less than 1 min.  I then drove to Sam's, spoke to the manager, who didn't correct the problem, she apologized then offered me. $20 Cafe coupon... Alright, although I love sams today was my worst experience. So I pull up to sams and i park before I go in I have my daughter go check if my membership works. She ones inside and the tell her that she can shop because it works (they scanned it). So she tells me and my family walk in. So we grab 3 carts and get to shopping, so we fill up our carts and we get up to pay and the member ship declines, so I call over one of the employees to help me out. They told me to wait while they go do something with my member ship. So I'm like alright and I wait until they come back, they come back and tell me that they can't help me and that I'll just have to leave, I said "why can't you just scan your member ship so I can pay with my money?" They said we don't do that and I've came to this store every time and they always just scan if they don't work. I'm disappointed with you sams. read more
