Went in here for the first time tonight 10 minutes before closing. Young gentleman at the front was very polite and nice! For the roasted turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes-- was very good and a good price! They use Boar Heads meat which is the best! It's not a sit down place, it's a mini deli. You get your sandwich and leave. The workers are nice and will make small talk. For groceries such as milk, they are more expensive than the grocery store, but their sandwiches are delicious! Although I can no longer eat them, I wish I could. The roast beef with munster cheese, tomato, and lettuce was the best! The bread is delicious and the meat, cheese and add ons are fresh. They are also speedy with your order. As for tea (I have not had their coffee), it's just Lipton so it's common. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick lunch to eat in a park, at home, or at work. read more

My girlfriend and I came in to Sams deli a few nights in a row after the grill was turned off and weren't able to get a chopped cheese. We went in the next night and we missed the grill again, but Sam felt bad so he turned the grill on and whipped us up the best chopped cheese we've ever had. He was so polite and accommodating. We will definitely be back here. Definitely the most friendly Deli in west village. Also he brews the most amazing ginger tea with fresh ginger ever day! The workers here are exceptionally nice to pretty much anyone who stops by, which contributes to the shop's small town feel. They sell pretty much any small item you could need (from toothpaste, to beer, to sandwiches, to washing detergent), and their breakfast sandwiches are a neighborhood favorite. While the prices here match what you should expect in a neighborhood full of designer stores and bugie cafes, M&M is a much sweeter and homey place than anywhere else. I have a friend who's house i'll crash at every now and then when the trek back to Brooklyn is just too far to bear. M&M is just around the corner from his house, and its part of our ritual to go down there and get a much needed morning cup of coffee and an egg and cheese sandwich to pull us out of the post-party stupor. Aside from the food being everything you expect it to be, i love that the older guy who works behind the counter always wants to be super helpful. If you're wandering around the store, he's there ready to help you figure out what you're looking for. and you can tell he knows his customers. when people walk in there, instead of them having to place an order with him, he just asks if they want "the regular"... clearly he's developed a loyal fan base in the community... and i'm happy to add to it whenever i'm in the area read more
