    Gorgeous setting!

I dropped into Brasswood with a big, hungry group on a Sunday morning after struggling to decide where to have breakfast. We were absolutely delighted to have found this gem. We ordered coffees and breakfast at the counter inside, then spent a few minutes browsing the retail section while our coffee drinks were being prepared. My dirty chai latte was ready a few mins later, and I took it outside to one of the long tables near the fireplace and pizza oven (which wasn't in use early in the morning, but I look forward to trying next time!). The welcoming staff brought out my chilaquiles with avocado and green salsa a short while later. Around the table, the meals and drinks were total hits. Everything was absolutely delicious, packed with flavor, and fresh. Most people ordered breakfast burritos or chilaquiles, both of which I definitely recommend, but even the pastries inside looked tasty. Patio is also dog friendly and looks out over a nice courtyard!

Really cool property with a nice little outdoor area in front of the Bakery. I can imagine this being a super awesome place to grab a coffee daily if you live nearby. The coffee they serve is more Intelligentsia than Peet's in terms of flavor profile. Acidic and fruit forward. I got the breakfast burrito and it was solid, had fresh pico de gallo in it along with a generous amount of eggs. It was a bit bland though but putting some tapatio on it helped. However, it should have really came with some homemade green or red sauce on the side

This review is for the bakery. The whole location is a winery, tasting room, restaurant and bakery! The place is gorgeous and gives off the industrial modern vibes! We stopped by after our trip to Calistoga and grabbed some coffee / quick bite at the bakery. The latte was perfectly done and we loved our apple crumb cake. We sat on the patio by the fire and it was so cozy! Most of their pastries were already sold out by the time we got there so would recommend going early! The cook was making pizzas behind us and it smelt so good! Highly recommend!

I stopped by the bakery for a snack after doing some wine tasting. I ordered the mushroom pizza. They don't sell pizza by the slice so I ordered a whole one. It was good for two people. The cheese was creamy and there was a strong truffle taste. I would order this again and not share next time. Haha. I tried the peanut butter cookie. It was kind of dry and I think it would have been better without so many sugar crystals on top. I went on a rainy day, but on a sunny day it looks like it would be a cool place to have a picnic and sit outside. They have a nice fountain I would have loved to get closer to if it wasn't raining.

We were in the area and found this place on Yelp. I think we got here around 11:30am and didn't realize that breakfast stopped at 11am and most pastries were sold out by then :( Their pastries looked really good on Yelp so I was kind of disappointed that we didn't get to try them. Maybe next time! We ended up ordering truffle Parmesan fries and a grilled cheese to share. We didn't realize the grilled cheese also came with a side of fries. Yay more fries! Lol. They had a few tables inside and outdoor seating along the side. The front patio area was for the restaurant and wine tasting. The seats along the side of the bakery were fine and a big secluded from others so it was nice to have some privacy. The lady who rung us up was really nice, patient while we were figuring out what to order, brought our meal all the way to our table which I didn't expect and was nice and friendly overall. The truffle fries tasted super fresh and it went great with the aioli sauce. The grilled cheese was good as well. We would probably be back when we are in the area again.

We stopped by Brasswood Bakery today on our way back from Calistoga and it didn't disappoint. The lawn + garden area is so nice, with a cool transparent-like fountain. 6 ft distance maintained between tables and all staffs wearing masks, it feels very safe and clean. The Bakery setup is very modern and stylish, with a very nice deck overlooking the lawn area. Limited pastry/dessert selection but highly recommend the coconut/chocolate macaroons! Would come back again and try their kitchen and bar.

Just take my arm. $19 for a Poki bowl. I've attached a photo for reference. Let me tell you why I'm upset. I spent $40+ on 4 items: Poki bowl, iced mocha, cold brew, and cinnamon roll. The Poki bowl. Jesus. Only had a scoop of spicy tuna. Imagine going to those build your own Poki bowls with the tiny scoops. It was that small. The rest was just sauce, avo, greens and whatever. Tasty but I'm not paying for a salad. Iced mocha is just straight chocolate in my mouth. I even asked for less sweet. It would've been ok if it wasn't so frickin sweet. Cold brew was good - so you get 2 stars Cinnamon roll was great! Other than the fact that I now can't pay for my gas to go home. $6. Really. For a cinnamon roll that fit in my small hand.

I love walking into this place because the ambiance is so rustic and Napa-y. Very cute spot with lots of food and drink options from tea to specialty cocktails! The mushroom pizza is so good if you aren't a fan of red sauce but where the pizza is delicious, the Cesar salad is lacking. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of wedge salads, but if you're looking for a way to get a quick workout in, look no further- this salad is your go to! Something kinda weird that happened was when they handed me my pizza and when I opened the box, THERE WAS AN EARWIG SQUIRMING AROUND NEAR THE PIZZA. I was so grossed out so I handed the box to the employees to help me with it and they picked off the bug and gave the pizza back to me. They just kinda gave me a weird look LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT THERE WAS A BUG. Otherwise the pizza was delicious.

This was a cute little cafe that also has restaurant. The cafe was clean and spacious that also played nice soothing music. The regular croissants and chocolate croissants tasted delicious and were very flaky. It was nice go a quick sweet treat or some to pick up to go for a day full of wine tasting.

Sweet snack for two: a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate covered strawberry!

Note the Brasswood Bar + Bakery is not the same as the Brasswood Bar + Kitchen. I think some reviewers are getting confused. The Bakery portion is out back behind the restaurant. Head here for more casual fare (think gourmet salads, sandwiches, and a few pastas), good coffee and homemade sweet treats. It's the quintessential Napa Valley "artisan culinary boutique" with fresh, seasonal ingredients and higher than average (and higher than necessary) prices. This is a great place to grab a picnic lunch or, when the weather's nice, sit on their outdoor patio. There are a couple of romantic outdoor fireplaces too, making it tolerable even in chilly weather. The Bakery opens at 8 am until about 5 pm, and it's one of my favorite hidden gems to stop off for an afternoon coffee and cookie. The menu is seasonal but you can find the current offerings online. The cookies and pastries mostly stay the same; I'm partial to the chocolate chip sea salt cookie and a classic espresso or cappuccino (cookies run about $2 and fancy coffees will set you back $3-$6). The scones ($3-$4) are things of beauty, and if the carrot cake (or any cake, for that matter) is on the menu, order it immediately. Ditto for the apple danish! I love how the portion sizes aren't out of control, they are reasonable for a nice snack for one. The service here is S-L-O-W no matter when you arrive or what you order. On my last visit, a cookie to share and two cappuccinos took nearly 15 minutes to be prepared, and we were the only customers in the place! I've only ordered sweets and coffee here and not an entree, but I have to wonder just how long it would take for the kitchen to put out a plate of pasta or a salad. There are some nice communal tables indoors where you can have your snack but outside on the patio is the best. The farmhouse ambience is charming, and the secret's not yet out about this place -- it's a comparable experience to the much more packed Bouchon Bakery in Yountville. Is this as good as Bouchon Bakery? Nah, but it's on par with the CIA Illy Cafe for sure. (NOTHING beats Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery). Overall a great, quiet and secluded place to escape from the hustle and bustle of Highway 29's crowded tasting rooms.

We really enjoyed the smoked chicken wings with Alabama sauce. The smokiness of the chicken was so good paired with the tangy sauce. Hubby enjoyed his pork chop. It was a huge cut but he always orders pork chop and never complains unless it's over cooked. I wasn't that hungry and ordered a regular garden salad and was convinced to add an avocado which was ripe but didn't add anything to the salad. I did like the sunflower seeds in the salad. There wasn't anything else on the entree menu that appealed to me. Maybe it would've been better to order a couple of appetizers as my meal. I could have consumed the entire plate if chicken wings by myself. Bathrooms are in the rear, in a separate small building. My biggest disappointment was the cheddar biscuits. It was chewy-like, dense and arrived lukewarm. Likely reheated and the dough was probably overworked. There was no cheddar inside the biscuit but coated on the outside. It came with a few biscuits but after eating one, I couldn't eat anymore because of the texture and chewiness. The honey butter (couldn't taste any honey) didn't help either. I make and try out different cheddar biscuit recipes at home and this would be a recipe I'd toss out.

We made a reservation for Saturday night and they sat us in the main dining room. Ambiance was romantic, a tad on the quiet side though there were probably 8 couples dining at the same time. On to the food. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu, non alcoholic. They started us off with a beautiful non-alcoholic rosé toast which was dry, crisp and delicious. We ordered mocktails which were equally tasty. I cannot remember the names. See photo. On to the meal. Amuse bouche: They also brought an amuse bouche of tuna tartare with a non-alcoholic wine. That was fresh & delicious. Supplements: We added the focaccia olive bread and oysters as supplements. The olive bread was absolutely delicious & served with an olive oil from France. The oysters were super fresh with a fluffy cream with a hint of dill on top. We loved them. First course: The next course was golden beets. The beets were fresh & delicious. Like, not love. Bonus course: The next course ended up being a mistake. We were served the egg diavlo which was not part of the 4-course menu. We alerted our server. She apologized and said she entered the 8-course by mistake. The egg diablo is like a fluffy scrambled egg with peppers but elevated. This was ok. Like not love. Second course: Then she brought out the farfalle pasta with peas. Everything about the dish was fresh and handmade but missing something, maybe salt. It was comforting, tasty in its own way but somewhat forgettable. Bonus course: The next course was another bonus! Risotto with truffle. This was super rich, creamy & delicious. Again really good, a tad too rich for me.. Third course: The next course was the duck paired with Israeli couscous. Wow wow wow. This was the star of the dinner. Amazingly tender, beautifully seasoned, bursting with flavor. This was a highlight for me. Everything worked together. Loved this dish so much. Side note: My husband got the veggie plate - grits, beans, squash - as he's vegetarian and he said it was super underwhelming. See photo. Fourth course: This was a two cheese with berry syrup, a fig, a peach and persimmon I think. We were getting so full but carried on. The two cheeses were excellent and the combination of flavors were complex yet surprising and yummy. We thought we were done but I guess there was one more dessert which was like an ice cream, semifreddo with fruit. Both desserts were delicious but we were so stuffed. We had to go for a long walk after. I think has we had the 4 course as planned, the dining experience would have been perfect. Service was good despite the coursing error. The aesthetic here very much embodies California coastal, with an interior dining room that is both rustic and chic. It would make for a nice lunch or dinner setting during any season. We were brought waters and menus immediately, they also brought water for our dog without us requesting it. I'd heard that the buttermilk fried chicken was a specialty here, so we decided to share that. We also ordered oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and a green salad to balance out the heaviness of the fried chicken. The oysters and the shrimp were brought out first. Both of these were great, refreshing appetizers to have on a warm day. The fried chicken and the salad were brought out shortly after. There is a sauce to go with the chicken, that is recommended on the menu but you have to order it separately. I do recommend getting that sauce as it was delicious. The exterior of the chicken was perfectly crisp and it gave way to a juicy interior. We both really enjoyed it. The green salad felt necessary after the decadence of the chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend visiting while you're in Napa.

Market is a true gem. We've been visiting for many years - I can't believe it has taken so long to…read moreleave a review. First off, the staff and service are absolutely outstanding. Roman, the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, making sure everything is just right. Luis, who has served us several times, is so attentive and helpful. They make us feel like family. We've loved every dish that we have ever tried, from the champagne fish and chips to the adult mac n cheese to filet - always perfect! And the drinks are outstanding. Always a hit! Little extra tip: try the Market Cabernet - it's genuine Stagecoach - incredible.

I had the chopped salad for my main and it was good, albeit little bit bland which a chopped Cobb salad should never be. Other things on the menu definitely looked better and if I was hungrier or wanted a more substantial meal, I would definitely come back and try them. Service was actually great with an extremely friendly host and a waitress who understood the assignment of needing to be speedy given we had limited time. Ambience is cute. It gives French brasserie vibes, but with American fare as well. Overall, I'd definitely stop into Market again if I needed lunch in the area, but there are probably other places I would try first.
