For $30 for a large latte, avocado toast and açaí bowl, we expected better. My large latte tasted just ok, and my avocado toast was very basic with chunks of avocado and sesame seeds sprinkled on top. My daughter did not like her açaí bowl at all and looked nothing like the picture. She had to ask for granola, which the employee completely forgot and not much strawberries on top. She was spitting out the pomegranate seeds and said the smoothie part did not taste good. There's also no place to sit down to eat other than outside, which is not ideal on a cold morning. What a hidden gem! A friend of mine had been here prior so we decided to drive a little bit out of town to stop at Soul Rebel for coffee and breakfast. It's in kind of a non descript shopping center and might be the only thing open that early in the morning. When we got there, the owner was still getting things ready to go for the day, but was so kind. There were a lot of different options for such a quaint little place but we ordered coffees and smoothie bowls. Since it was just a one man show it took a few extra minutes, but there's a lot of seating outside and it was a nice morning. As he finished all the coffee and food he brought it out to us which was so generous! My coffee was freshly made and the green machine smoothie bowl was amazing. The indoor area is really small, but there a few stools that you could sit at if you wanted to be inside. read more

It was a one man show when we checked this place out for breakfast, so it took a bit of time to get our order, but he was so friendly and clearly doing his best so we didn't mind! The menu is surprisingly broad for such a small place, I think anyone could find something they liked here. Açaí bowl - this is a highlight! A pleasant surprise that the açaí blend is not super sweet, there is tons of granola throughout and beautifully presented berries. Coffee is definitely on the darker roast/bitter side - not our personal preference but good if that's your jam. Breakfast sandwich is also tasty! read more

Coffee tasted extremely strong, almost like vietnamese coffee, which is fine, but it wasn't what I was in the mood for. I ended up drinking half of it before throwing it away. Pictures and reviews are very misleading. I wish I looked deeper into the one star reviews before coming. The single staff member was fairly friendly but seemed to have no experience making coffee. There were four cups out at once and rather than making each cup at a time demonstrating the coffee craft in each coffee, the employee pulled several shots poured the amounts into each cup, let them sit on the counter while frothing a huge batch of milk and proceeded to just dump the milk into each cup..... I hate making reviews like this but the business advertises extreme care and quality for their coffee and yet these were made with such carelessness. The vanilla latte I got was super burnt and bitter; pretty close to a black coffee if you ask me. This place could easily turn this into a 5 star place again by starting with training every employee on creating the perfect cup of coffee. It seems like there are other staff that do take pride in making their coffee but unfortunately, I suppose, I didn't come in at the right time. We could have ordered everything -but we settled on ordering the: Kale 'Em with Green-ness which is Kale, Spinach, Strawberries, Banana, Almond Milk Chia Seed option to add agave, two Americano Coffees with Fresh pulled espresso shots, the homemade Breakfast Sandwich comprised of a Fresh cooked frittata, pepper jack cheese, red onion, fresh avocado and Tomato on ciabatta with chipotle aioli. They also have good vegetarian options and something for everyone. Love everything here! And that's saying a lot because we're coffee shop snobs from L.A. Our kids love the smoothies and acai bowl. I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love my teas and the chai here is excellent, other adult members love the mocha here. I just realized they have breakfast items so I'm trying those next. First time stopping in. Coffee shop is small with no place inside to sit (no good for a rainy day) but a fair amount of seating outside. The barista was friendly and helpful. Sitting outside sipping on my flat white, super smooth coffee (no sugar needed). Some of the smoothies looked delicious and at $7 look great value. Will be a stopping point going forward for sure. The owner finished making our food then sat down outside to eat with the employee. I had to interrupt them to inform them we haven't received our smoothie. I never write reviews but I felt I needed to for the sake of the public. I truly don't understand how this place got 4.6 stars on yelp. Coffee was bland and burned - tasted way worse than Starbucks imho. The oatmeal was served to us in a large paper cup (so strange) and it was completely uncooked at the bottom. I truly don't know how you screw up oatmeal - an 8-year old could have done a better job. The breakfast sandwich was uninspired but passable. Service was very absentminded - when we mentioned the oatmeal was uncooked and inedible at the bottom they didn't say a word. No apology, no comment - extremely confusing...I have no idea if they were sober or not. Literally the worst $46 we have ever spent on food. Please, take your money and stomachs elsewhere. read more

My fiancé and I came through on passing just for some smoothies on our last day in town and I got the tropical thunder while my fiancé got the chunky monkey. Both were really good but the chunky monkey I'll admit was definitely the best and I ended up taking my fiancés lol so we went back for another one and on the way there we catch him running out of the shop to give a customer her phone she left just because she was complaining about back problems and he didn't want to have her get out. So he ran to her, not only that when we told him about me taking my fiancés smoothie, when he made him his second (which was the chunky monkey with an espresso shot HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and with the left overs made me a sample cup so I wouldn't take my fiancés again. What a hidden gem! It's behind Local Q 707 bbq (to the right). Difficult to find if you don't know it's there. As always, my husband and I had been enjoying pretty unhealthy food during our vacation. So I sought out Soul Rebel when I discovered through Yelp that they served a green smoothie. Fruit smoothies are easier to find but I wanted some leafy greens. Got their Kale'em with Greenness smoothie which included kale, spinach and some fruit, all blended fresh. I don't actually like vegetables so it was great to be able to ingest some in a way that wasn't blech. I'm planning to stop by again tomorrow morning for another one on our way back home. We also ordered the belgian waffle with fruit. Nothing was pre-made. The batter was freshly mixed and poured into the waffle maker after we ordered it. Even the fruit was cut fresh in front of us. It was a really nice light, sweet but not oversweet dessert. They also have some delicious looking pressed juices, with all the produce being organic. It was too cold for me to get the acai bowl with fruit, but I don't think I'm going to let that stop me tomorrow. The young woman who served us and made everything from scratch was super friendly and fun to talk to. Do yourself a favor and stop by this sweet, unpretentious shop. read more

Walk in, dude at the counter doesn't so much as look up. When he finally does, he seems annoyed we're even in there. Order two Americanos and he asks if we want room for cream; we say no. He then proceeds to fill them to the absolute brim causing a spill when the lid is removed to add sweetener. Maybe he's new, but he's not doing the establishment any favors. Came here as part of the Segway Napa tour. We got drinks as part of that tour. All 8 of us enjoyed our coffee or tea drinks. I had to go back the next morning because my mocha was so good. We ordered one of the best sausage bagel sandwiches I've ever had. It had a sauce/dressing that took it to another level. Same for the avocado toast, a special sauce that upped the flavor. It's obvious this place takes pride in their business because of the extra care in the taste and presentation of their food and drinks. Finally had the chance to stop by this morning! I was in desperate need of caffeine and a mood enhancement, so I ordered a Lavender Honey Latte with oat milk. The gentleman working today was friendly & attentive, and the atmosphere of the shop was 100% my style. Fun stickers for sale (yes I got one), festive Halloween mugs, and amazingly priced bags of coffee (which I plan to pick up next time). Most importantly, the latte tastes delicious; it has the right amount of foam and perfect hints of lavender that do not overwhelm the taste buds. Honey ties in the floral & coffee tastes in the best way.
