The impressed me from the start the staff who are friendly and welcoming to the chef they are like a fast food place but but in many ways better your food is delivered to you the moment it's ready which is fast they don't sacrifice quality at all like the stereotypical place their food is fresh and you can defiantly taste it. I'll start by saying that I've been to my fair share of Gyro Cafes in multiple different cities and countries. I have had both good and bad experiences... Still in search of stellar. However, this by far is the WORST. Where should I even begin? Umm. How about at the beginning... When the lady at the front counter told me that there was a $1 EXTRA charge for rice, I about pissed my pants. First of all, the plate is already $10 (a 30% mark-up from the best places I've been to in Nashville). Second, rice is a standard for a gyro plate, I should not be charged extra for a substitution that internationally comes standard! That's the equivalent of walking into a car dealership and being told that you have to pay an extra sum to have them put wheels on the car. Wheels people. We're talking about wheels. As I began to devour my food, I quickly discovered that my Tzatziki sauce was in fact RANCH! Um, excuse me, I did not order hot wings. Lastly, the salad was definitively lacking- two slices of unripened tomatoes, an overload of shredded lettuce, and... MEXICAN cheese? Where's the cucumbers? Feta cheese? Half-smashed chick peas? Now from reading the other comments, it seems as though rice and feta cheese are AVAILABLE upon request. But this is what I do not understand, if I go to a Gyro Cafe, the absolute basics should be the BASICS... rice, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce. If I want to Americanize my plate, trust me... I will let you know. Otherwise, try and give me something as authentic as possible. Even if you're Asians, owning and operating a Middle Eastern restaurant. Two words: Never Again. read more
