They told us to pick up our vehicle by 9:15am, they even admitted to us on the phone that we arrived before 9:15am but because the paperwork was only finished at 9:22am they charged us for a whole other 12 hours of storage. Front desk guy said he is just following company policy... okay that's fine. I called the manager lady, she said too bad... she handed the phone to the owner who was sitting next to her, dude just went off at me. Told me I can take him to court if I want to. What a stupid thing to say when all I'm asking is to be reasonable and not charge me for 12 hours of storage. Worst tow company I have ever dealt with. Not only did they charge me an additional 100 dollars more than I was told on the phone multiple times. The place my car was stored was so bad that it actually broke my exhaust apart when I tried to leave. It took two of them to try and get me out of the lot and they were placing blocks under my car because it was that bad. Mind you I have a very low car but after being told they specialized in "lowered and exotic cars" this couldn't be further from the truth. My car was impounded due to being parked in my girlfriends apartments. It was my fault the car got towed but it was not my fault for the damage done to my vehicle. The General manager did reach out and offer to send me a check for them misquoting me but did absolutely nothing for the damages done. Would never recommend this company to anyone. I was extremely disappointed with this company today. My car broke down this morning around 6am RIGHT before my freeway exit to my work, so I called Sam's towing due to a quick google searching pulling that it was the closest towing location to where I was, and their site said they were ooen 24/7 which also added to the appeal. My first call to Sam was at 6:02, we talked briefly and he asked me the basic questions, then gave me an ETA of 90 minutes. I figured that wouldn't be too awful. Then my next call to him was at 7:17am to check in to see if his ETA was still the same time frame, but he didn't answer. I figured he must not have been answering due to driving or he was almost to my location, etc. So I figured I'd just wait a bit longer, didn't want to come off as too impatient. Then I tried again at 7:32am in attempt to check in. Again... no answer. I tried to reach him yet again at 7:55am figuring that was the 90 minute mark and hoping he was okay. But again, no answer. By this time I was looking up the website to see if there were any other numbers I could call to get ahold of him but only found a contact me forum on the website. So I filled out the prompts just asking for an ETA. I tried to call one last time at 8:20am, and finally gave up since he seemed to have ghosted me. Luckily, my next google search for tow company was a huge success (Dougs Affordable Towing). From the time of my first and only phone call, to the time of which they were physically towing my car, was only a span of 20 minutes. And to my surprise, it cost under $100. So to say I was let down severely by Sam's Towing company is an understatement. read more

Locally owned, family owed, very professional and effective towing service. Sam himself came to rescue my broke down motorcycle whose rear tire would not rotate. It was a very impressive task to get that 500 pound, non-compliant bike on the tow truck and then into my parking garage. -Sam has the determination to get a job done, that you don't see much of anymore. Early next morning David drove to our home, helped to move trike from the garage and onto the motorcycle trailer to transport to the Honda Motorcycle dealer. These people were the worst to deal with. My little brother got into a car accident that was blocking the freeway entrance. We called the police to report it and instead of calling AAA we let the police call one so our car could be moved faster. When they arrived we asked them to tow the car to either our house to which they responded it was against the law due to leaking fluid. I looked up the law and told them no such thing exists but if it was their company policy they could take it my mechanic who was down the street. In the middle of trying to figure out what the issue was and what solutions we could come to terms with the driver literally drove off with our vehicle speeding away. We immediately called the company to ask them to report the driver stealing our car and to ask them to tow it to where we asked or drop the car and we would pay them the drop fee and call another tow truck. They stated it was a police authorized tow(which it wasn't) and the front desk hung up on me multiple times. I kept calling and finally the owner called me back and then hung up on me and didn't return my call for nearly an hour until the tow truck driver dropped it off at their tow yard. I had to file a police report and was advised to file a civil suit. We agreed to pay the regular $315 tow fee but they tried to charge us so many additional fees to pick the car up that same night it was dropped off!! The owner even went as far as to call me and leave a taunting message the next day insulting me asking if "I was a bitch to all men or just to him" it was the most demeaning stressful experience and I would never recommend them to anyone read more

We had an RV stuck down our hill with very soft, soupy ground and our Suburban was not able to get this out. Sam was a hero! He first tried with his 350 and after that didn't work he brought out the big gun and hook up the truck to his tow truck and winch and was able to pull both our truck and 21' RV to the street. My Grandson's Jeep broke down last Wednesday and he did not have anyone to help him tow it nor money to pay for a tow so his Mother (my daughter) called me and asked me if I would go to Bothell (from Yakima) and use my Triple A to tow his vehicle to her home in SeaTac. Sam's Towing is the only towing company that was willing to drive up 3k ft of logging roads in the snow to recover my broken down truck. Before he came up he got me in touch with a diesel mechanic who walked me through some troubleshooting and I managed to get it running again. My car was towed after an accident. The driver who towed it was nice enough. However, when I came to pay the fees, the front desk woman was very rude. I asked to see a detailed receipt and she was combative and said "I was getting to it!" She had no customer service skills. Was hanging out with my best friend when his car's engine gave out. This car has had some troubles in the past and this wasn't the first time it's been towed, but our experience with Sam's was by far the best out of the other services we called. Two weeks ago my truck was stolen from the hospital parking spaces. I filed the report and a few days ago they found it. It is the policy of the Kenmore Police Department to have your car towed and impounded if it's located. My truck had been totaled. The deputy called at let me know my truck was towed here to Sams Towing and Recovery. When I phoned the office to gather information on how I could get my vehicle back I spoke with a shrill little woman that told me that I had a few options: 1: pay the $960 dollars to come get it 2: leave them the vehicle because it's is totaled, in the case I still needed to pay the impound fees AND give them a 100.00. I'm not kidding If I don't make one of these choices my truck will continue to sit here until March, at it will continue to accrue costs at $56.00 dollars a day. In the three daysit's taken to make arrangements, the have changed my over $150.00 extra dollars. In Marching they will auction it off. If my totaled truck is not even worth a $1000.00 sell. I will have to pay the difference even after it's auctioned. Remember, my truck was STOLEN from me. As of three days it's over $1100.00. This is a private company and they set the costs. They make the choice to steal your vehicle a second time. This time, they try to weasel the theft into looking like it's legal. The olive on the crap sandwich they make for you is that they are so rude that I couldn't even stand hearing her voice without gagging and laughing at her. Had I known that this was how it would be handled I would have just let the police leave it in the ditch and have AAA tow it home. I would suggest that you make any other arrangements than to let them touch your vehicle. You could also bring a tube of lubricant so when you have to take it up the backside it won't hurt so bad. The man that is in the office was helpful and kind. The woman on the phone is rude and disrespectful. If you actually have a choice about using their services, I would avoid them. read more

My family and I were headed to out to Canada on interstate 405 when my minivan's left rear tire suddenly got a flat. I safely pulled over to the right shoulder. Then I frantically called from my smartphone for a towing company. (I also asked Highway Patrol for what I needed to do.). I found Sam's Towing on Yelp and asked for a tow. Nancy, the operator, was very kind and patient in putting me at ease, explaining the availability of her drivers. Her flatbed driver was in Kent and her other guy was near me but in the middle of another tow. She also explained to me that I would need a separate taxi to ferry my wife and kids because of limited space in the tow truck. Nancy texted me the name & number of *three* local cab companies. Within fifteen minutes, I had the minivan taxi from the local Yellow Cab company taking my family to the Alderwood Mall. Ultimately I ended up using another company who had a driver available. However, I am grateful to Sam's towing and their courteous and kind dispatcher Nancy for getting me help when I really needed it. Sometimes the right people come along at the right time. Needing a tow is seldom if ever a good situation. It certainly wasn't in our case. The accident was at the end of a very bad afternoon and though no one was hurt, my wife was extremely upset. Then Sam arrived. Not only did he handle towing our SUV with care and professionalism, he treated my wife with tremendous kindness, something she desperately needed. He and his assistant Tia even made sure my wife got home safely while I was dealing with the crisis at home. My wife managed to drive home from SeaTac with a flat "run-flat" tire, but had to have the car towed to a dealer to repair the tire. Since the car has an all wheel drive system, Sam drove up with a flatbed type truck and carefully loaded and secured it on its flat bed. Sam knows the roads around East side of Seattle so well, he joked that his wife calls him the human GPS...and he did not use one getting to my place. Rock solid. I called these guys to move a mechanic's toolbox. It's a little more specialized than towing a car, and due to the weight of my toolbox and lack of recovery points, I had my doubts. They told me they were rusty on transporting toolboxes of a size like mine, so the owner drove out in addition to their guy with the flatbed truck. In a few minutes the three of them had it winched on and tied down nice and tight. They know what they're doing and they're quick. We did play phone tag a bit while arranging this whole deal, due to the timing involved in getting the right guy and the right truck, but in the end it came out perfect. Tow truck showed up late, missed the closing time for the destination business, delivered it the next morning, but forgot the key. They had to deliver it later. Meanwhile, they hadn't provided any quote, estimate or bill....until calling me about two weeks later and wanted payment of 3x more than other companies have charged.
