I came here after hitting a curb -- my steering wheel was off-center and I needed an alignment. They performed the alignment and charged me for it, but the steering wheel was still crooked afterward. I then took my car to the Mercedes dealership for an inspection. Their master technician told me directly: the shop should never have performed the alignment in the first place. There was visible damage to the tie rod, steering rack, and wheel bearing -- damage that any competent technician would have seen the moment the car was put on an alignment rack. Here's the thing: an alignment cannot hold or function correctly when the underlying components are damaged. With a bent tie rod, a compromised steering rack, and a bad wheel bearing, the alignment settings will be inaccurate from the start -- or revert immediately once you drive. This shop either didn't know that, or knew it and did the alignment anyway to collect payment. Neither is acceptable. Instead of being honest about the damage and referring me to a proper repair facility, they charged me for a service that was completely ineffective and a total waste of money. If your car has been in any kind of impact, do not bring it here. They will perform services they know cannot fix your problem just to take your money. read more

I bought four new tires here a couple years ago... that went great, but the true testimony is about their follow up care. Two years later (today) I had a flat tire at the airport coming working a long and really early flight. I was able to drive the car to the closest tire store where they told me they would NOt put on the spare (because it was too old), would charge me for a new tire instead of doing a repair and I would need to wait almost 3 hours. I called Tire Pros they had my tire repaired in less than an hour for free, they were honest about not needing to buy a new spare and they were kind the whole transaction. I was able to just Uber home have my car towed there and they took care of everything. Highly recommend!!! First let's start with very bad advertising by having a sign that reads "Lube Oil Filter Tire Rotation $39.95" Now even as a woman owning the vehicle I brought in I have owned for 5 years living in Los Angeles for 4 1/2 of those years. I had oil changes done (Full Synthetic) for anywhere from $50 to $80 never over $80. I take it here and a full synthetic oil change is $112.00. That's up from the $79.95 from when I called in a few days ago. Well I got a call that I need rear brakes and tires. They won't rotate the tires either. I had my brakes done in May 2022 before I moved to Seattle and my tires were new in December 2021. So I know that is not true. This place has horrible customer service from the get go when I called a few days ago. I should have trusted my gut and not went there. I see they only have 3 stars here on Yelp. Next time I will check on Yelp to see what people are saying about the business. The estimate for new rear brakes and 4 new tires was $1467.00. I bet I could find somebody who will beat that price. I actually wish they had a lower rating to tag. I am a 74 year old woman who worked retail for 45 years. The treatment I got from these people was so disrespectful and not at all helpful in anyway with questions or wanting to even drop by and check my tire pressure. Oh, they were great to me when I was buying 4 new tires from them. But that was the end of the customer service, for sure! I dropped by for a pressure check and they informed me I had to make an appointment. (now living in West Seattle). It take a couple of minutes for good customer service. Plus they were rude to me. Now it is 2024 and I just found out there was a recall on my tires in 2023 and everyone was suppose to be notified. I am pursuing this right now, but called today to just inquire about this recall. This guy was SO disrespectful to me and actually rude in helping me with this issue. I had to speak up and tell him to quit being so to me. He then started speedily giving me information that ends up being of no help to me and I had to figure it out on my own, which tires are recalled. I try to use local companies when possible, but I was sad to arrive bright and early to Kirkland Tire Pros and have them take a look at my car and quote me a $3000 fix. The alignment was thrown off after hitting a curb, so the original reason I brought it in was for a front end alignment. The mechanic put it on the lift and then I was told I needed to replace a couple of things that would add up to $3000 with the 10 hours of labor needed. I'm unsure if the people at the desk have any idea about cars so they trust their mechanic to tell them the extent of the damage/fix. I was then told, "it will cost you double at the dealership." I would expect to pay a diagnostic fee, but I was not told how much the fee would be prior to them assessing my car, while they were assessing my car, or at any time until they told me it was going to be a $3000 fix. I thanked them and paid the $80 diagnostic fee for them to put my car on the lift, stare at it like they actually knew what was wrong and lie to me. I called the dealership and took the car in an hour later. They took it in and reported the curb didn't do any damage other than messing with the front alignment. An alignment was performed and by noon my car was ready. Sadly, they came highly recommended by a friend, but I'm not sure my friend will be taking her car back to them either. So instead of earning one customer, they lost two. read more

First off they charge you for patching up a tire while Discount and Schwab do that as a courtesy service. I brought my car in because my tire had a leak and also since I had bought the tires from them. That was mainly due to the fact they are very close by, but honestly other places are a few minutes farther and worth it. Besides that if I have any general questions they're not exactly the friendliest to talk to. Their prices aren't that competitive anymore so there's no real incentive to use them again. Prices are what I expect to pay in the area (spendy $$$), but they reward repeat customers with discounts and savings, they always get me in same day with little to no wait, and the folks working are friendly and professional. I came in after work one morning, I had gotten a flat tire the night before on my way in to work, and was shown that my tire had been impaled by a tire weight. They were able to replace my tires quickly and I saved, since I had purchased my last set of tires from them three years prior. I've come in before due to low tire pressure and they fixed the problem quickly and for no charge to me. The air in my tire was low a couple of Saturdays ago, so I went back here since this is where I purchased the tires. The mechanic filled the tire and then asked me to back up my car so he could look at the tire. After backing up a couple of feet, he tells me I have a nail in the tire, and it's in a place they cannot patch the leak. Tells me I should go in and see the manager about a new tire. I'm there with my arm in a sling and not able to get down on the ground to verify the nail. I left and stopped at another tire shop. They checked the tire and didn't find a nail. They said the valve stem was leaking and fixed it at no charge. They are getting my business from now on! Don't trust anyone at this place. read more

Be careful with up charges from the guys here at Tire Pros, especially Aaron. I called to have the tires on my wife's car replaced after we had a blow out, I set up a time for her to bring in the car at 12:30. I explained I was taking care of this for my wife and that we were trading the car in in a couple of weeks and was hoping to get something cheaper. After she dropped off the car she sent me a text at 12:50 telling me that Aaron had called her to say the car needed an alignment and the rear brakes replaced, not understanding what that really meant she said "ok". I immediately called them and said I did not want to go forward with the work and that I would have appreciated he call me rather than my wife, being I set up the appointment and communicated what needed to be done. I had the tires off the day before and knew the rear brakes were 40%. I wouldn't spend an extra $500 on a car that's getting traded in that gets driven maybe 10 miles a week. When I called I was told that the entire rear brake system was torn apart and it was too late, therefore I would be charged $175 to put it back together. I was curious so I went back to my call logs and asked my wife what time he called her. He called her at 12:45 and I called at 12:55. I was a prior ASE mechanic and have done hundreds of brake jobs and will tell you it is physically impossible to remove the entire brake system on the rear of a car in under ten minutes. When I confronted Aaron about this he told me it was at least a half an hour between the time he called her and when I called him, this was a boldface lie. After I told him I had proof on my call logs he gave that up and then told me that they work fast. Again, it is not possible. After arguing back and forth he told me I wouldn't be able to pick up my car if I didn't pay the $175 which is the entire labor cost to replace the brakes, so I gave in. Not impressed and very frustrated with the lack of customer service and communication, as well as a sleazy up charge from Aaron on a 9 month pregnant women who knows nothing about cars or what repairs are necessary. I was driving and my wheelwell started to make a bad noise, I pulled into Kirkland Tire Factory to get it checked out. Super friendly staff. They called me telling me that all my brakes had seized up and i will need to replace all 4 wheels of my rotors, calipers & brake pads. They then let me know that after all discounts they could get, it would cost $1.579.00 after tax. After talking to my normal trusted mechanic, he said he highly doubts that is the case and bring it in and he would look for it for free. I went to pick up and they charged me $100+ for the oil change (I requested) and $60+ for looking at it. Then they said be careful because my peddle was close to going to the floor also, which was weird because that wasn't an issue before. I carefully drove by shifting (because it felt like I had no breaks) to my mechanic. What did I find out: 1. They lied, that is not what happened, so either they are incompetent or they are liars. 2. Always liked having this tire shop in the neighborhood but quality of service has gone downhill! I'm a long time customer. No longer! Do not take you vehicle here. A simple tire swap resulted in gouging the rim with their equipment. Worse part, they denied they could have, obviously this isn't due to curbing due to location -- even worse, the owner was there and was completely unprofessional with me. He said it's impossible they caused the damage. This place seems pretty popular for locals so I decided to try to get my oil changed there. I decided to swing by to see how much an oil change will be knowing that my car needs a specific type oil that is probably not included in their $20 pricing. I gave them the exact requirements and my car's make and they had confirmed a $30 dollar pricing. I was content with the price and told them I would come back in 2 weeks. When I came back I talked to the same guy, but he decides to increase the pricing to $60 dollars. Mind you, I'm not asking for synthetic, just 5w-20, which quite honestly shouldn't cost more than $8 dollars in a store. I was OK with the price mistake - it happens. But I was NOT ok with the attitude the owner gave me. I walked in, and literally stood there for 2 minutes in front of him, while he was on the computer, waiting for some sort of acknowledgment that I was there. I decided to say hi first and he rudely responded to give him 5 minutes as if I was being a nuance. When he was done doing whatever he was doing, I do not think he ever made eye contact with me. We talked pricing and he told me it was $60. I informed him that he told me it would be $30 before. He said no. I questioned him, but he didn't respond. I left, and decided to never go back again. Honestly...I'm not sure why people go back and tolerate his bad attitude. However, if you do decide to go because its convenient, the owner's son seems to be less jaded and will be of more help. I had been going to this place for oil changes for a while because it's just a couple of blocks from my work so I can drop off/pick up easily. I'm used to having oil change places try to upsell to me - I'm a woman and it's just what they do, so I'm not surprised when every time I come in I'm told something is leaking or worn. Each time I've gotten a second opinion on the various hose leaks I'm told by them that I have, I'm told they don't exist, so that should have told me to stop giving them my business, but like I said: it's par for the course with places like this, so I ignored it. My brakes started squeaking and I knew it was around the time I'd need a brake check so the next time I went in for an oil change I asked them to take a look and they said that the brake pads in the front were getting low and needed changed. I had them change the pads. When I picked it up they said my rotors would need changing soon too, but not yet. They told me the back brakes/rotors were fine. I drove away and the brakes were still squeaking. I brought it back twice in the coming weeks, telling them the brakes were still squeaking. The first time they said they didn't hear anything and could find no reason for them to be squeaking. The 2nd time they said it was my front rotors, they needed replacing. I pointed out that the last guy had said "soon but not yet" and they told me he was mistaken. Fine. I asked them to change the front rotors. This time they told me my back brakes needed replacing soon, too. The squeaking continued. Again I took the car in. This time they told me it was definitely the back brakes. It sure didn't sound like it was coming from the back of the car. I went to Les Schwab to do the back brakes/rotors. The front brakes continued to squeak, this time turning from a squeak into a full-on grinding noise when I was braking. It felt downright unsafe and was very reminiscent of when, a long long time ago, I had a car whose front brakes/rotors were completely shot. I took the car back AGAIN and told them it was definitely the front brakes, that the sound was obviously from the front, and that I had brand new brakes/rotors on the back. I have been back 3 times. Once they told me it was just "how brakes sound now because they don't have asbestos in them anymore". Once they told me that they didn't even hear anything (you can hear my car coming from blocks away, so that's an outright lie). And the last time they refused to listen to anything that was said, insisting to me that it must be the back brakes. They acted obviously irritated with me that I kept bringing the car back wanting an explanation for why the brakes/rotors THEY had just replaced were not working properly. I paid them several hundred dollars to have new brakes and rotors put on my car, properly. That obviously didn't happen, and instead of fixing it at their cost, they're trying to just shrug and tell the "naive woman" that she's just imagining things and that it's an entirely different part of her car. I'm a girl, not an idiot. I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Caveat emptor. read more

The folks who work here day to day provided me great service and got me all taken care of, and offered to do the wheel swaps seasonally between my summer and winter tires. The owner told me he wouldn't let me use their tire cart to move tires because he didn't trust me. I am writing this to management so that they're aware of an employee's inappropriate comment and the impact of his behavior. I went to the shop today at 8:30 AM to get two flat tires changed, when I spoke to the employee at the front desk he told me that the car needed to be on site to be serviced (understandable). Getting the car towed wasn't ideal for me so he said the tires needed to be changed where the car is parked. When I told him I didn't know how to change a tire he said "where's your boyfriend? ask him to change them for you." It didn't stop there he was unhelpful and ended the conversation with "well looks like you got to go find a boyfriend then". I was absolutely shocked from this experience. My hope is that his sexist behavior does not continue to have an extremely negative impact on the business. It my expectation that in the future he learns and acts with fundamental respect and professionalism in all company dealings, especially with female customers. read more

I was really impressed with how helpful and knowledgeable these guys were. They were immediately welcoming, understood my past problems with places such as Les Schwab, and even gave me a small discount because I expressed that the amount for my brake service was slightly above what I expected. I'd recommend this place to anyone who has ever felt the cold, uncaring stare from one of Les Schwab's many employees. In a year I'll tell you if the actual parts/labor are of the same quality as the customer service, but I felt very comfortable dropping 520.00 bucks today...which fair or not, I usually grumble quite a bit about car repairs due to my mistrust of mechanics. It's the places like this that I want to stay in business...hard working, family owned businesses where they actually relate to their customers on a personal level rather than just another number. 5 stars for that alone. read more

I'd been getting my oil changed here a few times and the first two times were fine, then later, every time I went, they would call me approximately 30 minutes after dropping off the car and tell me that I needed so and so done. The most recent time that this happened, I told them I needed to think about it but took their quote. I went to Midas, and then finally my dealership. I guys at the dealership ended up charging me less for the job and when I asked about the additional things that needed to be fixed, I was told that it was not an issue. This is a local shop for those not wanting to head to Costco or Discount Tire - that being said, the prices are decent, and the service is ok. Over the past couple years I've had oil changes here, new brakes installed, purchased one set of tires, and recently went back to have the tires rotated and rebalanced (I wanted to wait to post this until after I had my follow-up rotation and rebalancing just to see how these guys handle the maintenance agreement when you buy tires there). Good news was they took my car, did the maintenance work quickly and without hassle. So, these guys do pretty good work. The service isn't as outgoing and friendly as you might find elsewhere; but I've never had any issues with misleading quotes like some others that have posted. read more

Service was high quality, fast, but expensive. Getting my car serviced was 95$ and hour for labor, the parts were marked up quite a bit, and there was a 30$ shop supply fee. Make sure you get your full service estimate on paper before you go and have them include whatever discounts they offer on that estimate. I was under the impression I would get a 100$ discount, but in the end they claimed the -100$ (not shown on the bill) was already taken off of the parts. This made their bill more than estimates I had gotten at other shops. 130$ for six spark plugs comes to 21.6$ a plug. (part xp5224 is only 6.78$ on amazon) 133$ +223$ = (356$) timing belt kit + water pump after my supposed 100$ off (part TB329LK1 water pump and timing belt kit costs 260$ mac auto parts) So expect to pay 100% markup more for parts and 95$ an hour labor. If you can swallow the high prices, the work was completed on time and they did not try to up-sell me on extra services. They got the job done correctly. It was less expensive than area dealers but certainly more expensive than some other independent shops might charge. read more

I've referred family and friends to Kirkland Tire Factory for tires, oil changes and mechanical--they've always been impressed by the quick and straightforward service. Its family owned and operated, so you don't get that uneasy feeling like the other places that try to up sell you on everything that's not really broken or worn out yet. If they say it needs replacing it does! If it's got a little more life left on the part they'll let you know. I've seen Seahawks bring in their brand new Porches and Lambos for rims, and I've seen the local fleets bring in their work vans for oil changes and mechanical. We needed trailer tires the day before we left on the second leg of our 2400 mile trip and Kirkland tire factory had the best price around. Called them and told them our issue and they said to bring the trailer down. When we got there they had the tires ready and were waiting for us. Before i could get in the office the trailer was getting lifted in air and the tires were being removed. It felt like a nascar pitstop crew just jumped out! In and out in about 5 minutes!!! We bought 2 205/75/R15 D-rated tires for our trailer for just under 200 installed!!! They held up great to the last 1200 miles and didnt flinch at the load! Thanks!!! read more
